Transmigrated as the fake young master, I'll beat up the scumbags and b*tches-Chapter 343Vol. 1 - - Thoughts
📢 New Novel Launch!
HuMing sent a message to Ye QiuXue. She had returned to her hometown some time ago and had even sent him a picture of herself working in the fields. In the photo, the girl was smiling brightly, seemingly unfazed by the sweat on her body.
If someone from Ye QiuXue’s school saw this scene, they would no doubt find it strange.
After all, no matter how you looked at her, Ye QiuXue didn't seem like someone who'd be doing that kind of work. Some people were just born for academics—clearly not suited for physical labor.
But Ye QiuXue had somehow managed to do it all.
Ye QiuXue: “I heard you're going to the countryside with Han YunXi to volunteer. You're not going to end up causing trouble for others, are you?”
HuMing: “What kind of question is that? What do you mean by ‘causing trouble’? I can take care of myself just fine, thank you very much. Besides, based on my academic performance, I don’t think I’m that bad, right?”
Ye QiuXue: “Sure, sure, you’re good at studying. But can you really teach others? That I’m not so sure about. Still, if you're going with Han YunXi this time, at least you'll get used to the village lifestyle early on.”
Looking at her message, a smile tugged at the corners of HuMing’s lips.
Chatting with Ye QiuXue was a way to relax for him.
He counted the days—there was still some time before he had to return to the Gu family. Lately, there wasn’t much going on. Kang Xin had been taken away by that woman, HuMin, and it was unclear when she would return. So, in truth, HuMing didn’t have much to worry about right now.
On the other hand, there was Xia Chen. According to Liang Feng, Xia Chen had shown strong learning ability and had already started handling some company decisions on his own.
Liang Feng didn’t deliberately guide him on what he should or shouldn’t do.
Profit or loss—Xia Chen made the calls himself.
Even so, Xia Chen had managed to stabilize the Xia family. That alone was something most people couldn’t do.
HuMing hoped the days ahead would be calm.
At least enough to allow him some rest.
Meanwhile, beside her—
A group of girls chirped noisily beside Han YunXi.
“Is HuMing coming too?”
“Yeah, I haven’t seen him in so long. He never talks in the class group chat anymore—I wonder how he’s doing.”
Dragging her suitcase, Han YunXi could feel her head aching from all the chatter.
What baffled her was that people used to dislike HuMing. And now, with just a blink, everyone suddenly seemed nostalgic for him, pretending like they were close?
She forced a smile, but inside she was thoroughly annoyed.
“He’s coming,” she said. “Just not in the same car as us. Once we’re in the countryside, he’ll only be helping out with support.”
“Aww, I thought he’d be teaching the kids himself.”
“Yeah, with his grades and his looks, the kids over there would totally love him.”
Han YunXi turned and boarded the bus. She really didn’t want to engage with these girls any longer.
Sitting in her seat, she leaned her head against the window and put on her headphones.
A soft, relaxing tune played in her ears, slowly calming her nerves.
But soon, her thoughts drifted back to that conversation she had with HuMing at dinner that day.
If he hadn’t brought it up, she never would’ve known he had gone through such a dangerous experience at the Gu family’s place.
Living alone on an isolated island for a whole week—that wasn’t something she could even imagine in a dream. But HuMing had survived it.
There was a time when Han YunXi believed her future would outshine his.
But she hadn’t expected HuMing to grow so quickly—
Or rather, to change so drastically.
He was gradually leaving her behind, so far behind that she couldn’t even see his shadow anymore.
She hated her own powerlessness—that no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t keep up with him. At the same time, she was angry that HuMing kept doing such reckless things, with no regard for his own life.
Ever since he jumped off that cliff, she had truly come to understand how precious life was.
She didn’t want HuMing to go through anything like that again.
But right now… what could she do?
Han YunXi let out a quiet sigh and closed her eyes, sinking into a long silence.
Only the music played in her ears, cutting her off from the rest of the world.
What she didn’t know was that, at this very moment, HuMing was sitting in a sedan, maintaining a moderate distance from the vehicle she was in.
He had already spoken with the driver ahead of time, so there was no need for concern about following too closely.
Seated in the back, HuMing held his phone to his ear while Lan Jun drove silently, tailing the car in front.
“Second Uncle, have you spoken with Gu ZhaoChuan?”
“Yes. Just like you thought—Gu ZhaoChuan does want to break free from Shi Zhong’s control. He even told me he has a trump card prepared to deal with him. But HuMing, be careful. I can tell—he still doesn’t like your presence.”
Gu WeiYi flipped through the files in his hand. They documented all the personnel from that hospital back then.
Their disappearance was likely caused by Shi Zhong. But the whereabouts of Dr. Huang’s wife remained unknown—and that was a crucial piece of the puzzle.
If they didn’t want to be controlled by Shi Zhong, they had to find her.
“Oh right—one more thing. Your second aunt is awake. Next time you’re back, I’ll introduce you. I have a feeling she’ll be quite interested in you,” Gu WeiYi added with a rare smile on his face.
In all these days, this was the only news that could genuinely make him happy.
“Alright, Second Uncle. I’d like to meet her too.”
HuMing was genuinely curious about what kind of woman Xie QiuLing—the one Mo QingXia always spoke of—really was.
After all, she was family. It was only natural to want to understand her.
“For now, I’ll hold off on making any moves against Gu ZhaoChuan. But HuMing, for the time being—you’re on your own.”
“Wait—Second Uncle, our Gu family has charity operations, right?”
“We do. Why?”
“Nothing much. I just wanted to ask for a small favor. I’m heading to the countryside with Han YunXi, and I heard conditions over there are pretty rough. I thought maybe we could help improve things a bit.”
It was a selfish request. Who wouldn’t want their temporary home to be more comfortable?
Gu WeiYi nodded and replied, “That’s a small matter. I’ll send someone to handle it. But HuMing—just like I said before—watch your back.”
“Understood, Second Uncle.”
After hanging up, HuMing leaned back in his seat, still holding his phone.
In the front seat, Lan Jun asked, “Young Master, do you think Gu ZhaoChuan will make a move against you now?”
“He definitely will.”
HuMing’s gaze was sharp—his eyes chilling.
