Transmigrated as the Villain Boss's Precious Darling-Chapter 14: The Three Jealous Brothers
"Third Brother, candy!"
A chubby little hand reached out, holding an unwrapped piece of candy in its palm. Jim Thorne’s eyes lit up. He looked up to see Tang Xiaonan beaming at him. Even though her hair was a bird’s nest, she was still the cutest little sister in the whole village.
"Xiaonan, I was bad. Go on, hit me to let it all out!"
Jim Thorne leaned his face in. As long as his little sister was happy, a few slaps to the face were no big deal. It wasn’t like she hadn’t hit him before.
He felt a soft touch on his cheek. Tang Xiaonan patted him a few times, her chubby little face set in a fierce, kitten-like scowl. "If you ever pull my hair again, I... I’ll have Dad spank your bottom until it blossoms!"
Jim Thorne hesitated. ’Never pulling her hair again is absolutely impossible.’ The sight of his sister’s little pigtails made his hands itch. If he didn’t give them a few tugs, his whole day would feel off. But he couldn’t make his sister angry, either.
’Maybe I’ll just pull it a little less often.’
"I’ll try my best to control myself. Who can blame me when you’re so cute, Xiaonan? I wouldn’t even bother pulling anyone else’s hair."
Tang Xiaonan’s tail practically shot up in delight. She pinched her own cheeks, a little doubtful. ’After all, the book’s description of the original owner of this body was—’
’Dull, fat, and slow.’
’Am I really cute?’
"Well, you’d better try a little harder to control yourself."
Tang Xiaonan pouted. ’One step at a time,’ she thought. ’Getting him to pull my hair less is a good start. Then there’s Felix Thorne and my big brothers’ bad habits of pinching my nose and cheeks. They have to stop, too. Maybe the original owner of this body was pinched into ugliness by these guys.’
Jim Thorne nodded vigorously, happily licking the candy. He didn’t actually like sweets all that much, but candy from his little sister tasted especially delicious. It made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
’Xiaonan isn’t mad at me. She even gave me candy.’
’I’m still Xiaonan’s favorite third brother.’
Overjoyed, Jim Thorne decided to spare Adrian Hawthorne and not go looking for trouble with him.
"Move it, what are you crowding me for!"
Howard Thorne aimed a kick at him. ’That damn third brother is so annoying,’ he thought. ’It’s just a piece of candy, and he’s smacking his lips so loudly. He’s totally showing off!’
Jim Thorne sullenly moved over to Patrick Thorne’s side. ’I won’t stoop to Big Brother’s level,’ he thought. ’It’s not like this is the first time he’s been so petty.’
"What are you crowding me for? There’s a whole road, go walk on it!"
Patrick Thorne also gave him a kick. Just looking at the kid was annoying.
Shunned, Jim Thorne didn’t get angry. He just chuckled to himself and walked behind them, smacking his lips even louder on purpose to annoy his two older brothers.
’Hmph, Xiaonan loves me the most. Big Brother and Second Brother can just watch and be jealous!’
Cuddled in Howard Thorne’s arms, Tang Xiaonan was so happy her eyes crinkled into slits, bubbling with bliss. She resolved to mold her three "bargain-bin" brothers into successful young men. That was the only way they could continue to spoil her endlessly!
Adrian Hawthorne watched the siblings’ boisterous antics from a distance. The corners of his mouth lifted slightly before he closed the door.
"Oh... that’s so much meat!"
Rosalind Green was astonished. ’Why have the Thornes suddenly become so generous?’
"We’ll stew half of it tonight."
Adrian Hawthorne took out the candy from his pocket. There were about ten pieces. He gave half to Rosalind Green and planned to save the other half for Grandpa Tate.
Meanwhile, the candy in his mouth—the one he had been so disdainful of—was still there. It slowly dissolved, the sweetness growing stronger and stronger, and he had long since forgotten his earlier impulse to spit it out.
Rosalind Green couldn’t help but swallow. She loved sweets more than anything. Back when her husband was still around, the house was never without snacks. But in the past four years, she hadn’t had a single treat. She could barely even fill her stomach and was often so hungry she saw stars.
If Adrian Hawthorne hadn’t gone hunting in the mountains every so often, or gathered wild vegetables, the two of them would have starved to death long ago.
"Will we get in trouble for eating this?"
Rosalind Green was worried that the meat would bring them trouble.
