Transmigrated into Another Apocalyptic World (BL)-Chapter 278 - 277: Team meeting 2
Chapter 278: Chapter 277: Team meeting 2
Camille also sat down next to Zam with ease—without Zam getting up to change seats.
He had already heard from Treyton that even if Zam tried to sit somewhere else, Camille would just follow him.
The rest of the team didn’t mind making space either, often moving aside so Camille could sit with Zam.
Zam already understood that all the members just wanted to watch what would happen to them later, and no one would intervene because Camille wasn’t doing anything bad and knew when he could pester Zam.
Camille was really good because he wouldn’t disturb Zam when he was training or when he was concentrating on absorbing energy from their surroundings.
Even though Camille had only recently joined, he was already very busy.
In the mornings, he went to the hospital to help care for patients, and in the afternoons, he returned to train with the others to strengthen himself.
Although his main role on the team was as a nurse, he still needed to improve his combat skills so he could fight zombies—just like the other members who, despite not having special abilities, were still capable of holding their own in battle.
Camille would only go to watch what Zam was doing during his break time.
He never disturbed him—just quietly observed—so neither Zam nor the others found him annoying.
Since he wasn’t doing anything wrong, no one felt the need to interfere.
After the brief episode about Camille and Zam, Luciel concentrated on eating the cheesecakes and fruit tarts in front of him.
Then, after resting for a while, they started their meeting but started with less serious discussion.
"We’ve added new members this time. Have you all adapted to life here at the North Base?" Treyton asked while looking at Camille and the others.
"Yes, of course! Living here at the North Base is really great. It’s even better being part of this team," Camille said enthusiastically.
"Just a few months ago, I couldn’t even eat properly—I had to save every bit I could. But here, I can eat well and even cook the dishes I used to make before the zombies appeared.
"The work is also very reasonable. I go to the hospital in the mornings, and even though there are a lot of patients, we’re not overworked because there are plenty of people helping out.
I can even train properly to become stronger, something I couldn’t do before, even if I wanted to. And the best part? I no longer have to work for my scum ex-boyfriend."
"Of course," Camille added dramatically, hugging Zam’s arm, "the most important thing is that I get to see a lot of handsome guys every day—and I get to chase the most handsome one among them. So yes, everything is very, very good!"
Naturally, Zam tried to pull his arm away, but Camille clung on and said, "I cook for you every day! I’m just really happy today. Can’t you let me borrow your arm for a little while?"
In the end, Zam gave in. He didn’t pull away or move, especially with Camille acting so pitiful—as if he’d been terribly wronged.
Camille was undeniably beautiful, and when he wanted to act, he was very effective.
So Zam, with no way to deal with him, simply sat stiffly in place while Camille, who became bolder, clung even tighter to his arm.
Camille being a member of the team was definitely useful—Luciel could tell that if Camille weren’t a member, Zam wouldn’t tolerate his advances at all.
Zam wasn’t talkative and came off as cold, but it was clear he was very tolerant toward the people in his team.
That’s why, despite both he and Wes being the quiet type, the rest of their bodyguard team, who had been with Treyton for years, remained unaffected—still energetic and, at times, even very lively.
If Zam weren’t so tolerant, Camille wouldn’t even have the chance to chase after him.
After what Camille said, the others just looked at them without commenting on his behavior. They simply smiled teasingly and waited for the next person to speak.
The next person who spoke was Vivian.
"Yes, just like Camille said, it’s really great staying here. I can train my abilities properly using the right methods, and I can already feel that I’ve improved a lot compared to where I was a month ago.
Besides strengthening my superpowers, I’m also improving my combat skills through regular training and sparring with others.
If I hadn’t left the Sunset Base and joined this team, I probably would’ve stayed there, just supplying water to other people.
But now that I’m part of this team, I know I can definitely grow stronger—and I’ll be able to keep going out of the base."
After Vivian, the one who spoke was Lottie, who was holding her sister.
Luciel hadn’t invited Lottie on the team and was originally just accompanying them to go to the north base.
However, when they separated, her performance was apparently good.
Treyton told him that Lottie had a good reaction speed, and even though she wasn’t trained to fight, when they were fighting zombies along the way, she managed to kill a lot of zombies by herself.
She was also good at finding opportunities to attack, so when some people attacked them, Lottie was able to cause damage to some people on the other side without being noticed by their enemies.
She was also skilled at many things—like cooking, cleaning, and more—so in the end, Treyton and the others accepted her into the team based on her performance during the month she spent following them.
"I’m really grateful for the opportunity you gave me—and for letting me join the team. Originally, I wasn’t part of the group; I was just following everyone on the way to the North Base.
I have roamed the North Base for a while and saw that it’s a really good place to stay at.
It’ very orderly and wasn’t as chaotic as the Sunset Base."
