Transmigrated into Another Apocalyptic World (BL)-Chapter 531 - 530: After new year 7
"Yes, and it would be the longest one for the time being, as it would be the farthest place that we would travel from the north."
"If the North Base had a helicopter or jets, then it would probably be easy to go south and we wouldn’t need to travel far at all.
Unfortunately, as I said before, the North military base isn’t an air base at all and is mainly focused on ground combat.
The north has a lot of weapons and cars for land combat, but it really doesn’t have any for air combat.
And the timing of the coming of the apocalypse was really bad for the base, as the four helicopters that the base had were used by a unit of the special forces going West for additional air combat training.
But something might have happened in the west, because as the largest air base of the country, they hadn’t sent any helicopters or jets at all.
And because of the timing of the joint special forces training in the west for air combat, almost all of the bases in the country had probably sent most of their helicopters as part of the training of their soldiers."
When they arrived at the North Base and had their first mission in a farther place to get research equipment, he had already asked about it.
Treyton had already explained the specialty of the North Base as well and what happened to their helicopters.
In fact, it seemed that they actually have two more helicopters, but it seems that they aren’t working anymore. As for why they weren’t working anymore, Luciel doesn’t know why.
As for the training schedule for air combat, it could only be said that almost all of the bases are unlucky.
As for the air base in the west, it certainly had problems as they hadn’t seen any jets or even just helicopters.
It’s also the same for Treyton; he was also an unlucky fellow. He had already asked before if he also had helicopters or jets, as he was also very wealthy.
Unfortunately, Treyton had just sold his helicopter to buy a new model and the new model hasn’t arrived yet.
As for jets, Treyton doesn’t have one, as he had thought before that owning a jet—which has a very high maintenance cost—is very impractical.
However, he indeed has a fractional ownership with one of the largest providers in the country, and he also has joint ownership of a jet with three of his long-time business partners.
As for his co-owned jet, it was currently being used by another business partner. However, since the apocalypse suddenly came, the jet is probably still in another country.
So, even though Treyton was very wealthy, they only had their modified cars at the beginning.
And until now, they still have to go by land when going out for a long-distance mission.
Of course, even if they had helicopters or private jets, they might not be able to use them a lot of times because the capacity isn’t enough for everyone to ride them.
However, for establishing communication with other bases, having those would certainly be easier for all of them.
At least they probably only needed a few combat personnel and those responsible for installation, and then they could finish most of their tasks in just a few hours.
Unfortunately, they don’t have those things, so they would travel through land again just like always.
"You guys are really unlucky. Most of the things that should make things more convenient aren’t available at all."
"Yes, we were. But at least we could still use our time for training while going south, so even though it would take a long time, it would still be beneficial to us."
"It’s indeed beneficial, but it’s tiring. Besides, we also couldn’t train most of the time, as we could only really train if we face stronger opponents and when we are facing a lot of zombies or mutant animals.
Since it’s a road that isn’t traveled by most people, we will probably encounter more things.
We will also need to go to places that are near the cities, as there might be bases in those places, so we still have a lot of places for training."
"That would be good too, as my abilities are also in a stagnant phase and hadn’t improved for some time already." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
His abilities also weren’t improving that fast, as he still needed a lot of energy as well as further refinement for his ability to level up.
He could only further refine his abilities if he really had to continuously use his plant ability in different ways; if not, then it would take a longer time for him to level up.
Of course, the most needed thing for leveling up their abilities was still the amount of energy that they had gathered and successfully internalized.
They were able to gather a lot of energy daily as well as absorb a lot of energy from the zombie crystals; however, they couldn’t internalize all of it for leveling up their abilities.
Most of the energy they have could still be used by them freely when using their abilities, but some of it would be internalized.
The feedback of internalizing the energy they have isn’t just based on the amount of energy that they were absorbing daily; using their abilities daily and mastering those would also help in making themselves stronger.
For example, for him, he had easily internalized a lot of the plant energy that he had absorbed before because he had already mastered his plant power, so it was very easy for him.
Even now, compared to other people, he could still internalize most of his plant energy faster than most of them because of his experience in the past.
But if he doesn’t use his high-level techniques or use up a lot of his plant energy to control plants in combat or other things, then it would be harder to strengthen his ability.
