Transmigrating from a zombie world to become the mecha kings wife-Chapter 410: Beord’s night of fun.
Chapter 410: Beord’s night of fun.
Back home, that same evening, for the first time in a long time, Beord took up an offer from his friends to go to a club and have some fun, taking them all by surprise.
It was generally agreed around the office that minister Beord was a very boring man. He went from work to home and home to work. He did not participate in office gossip or take long lunch breaks.
The only known activity he participated in was rugby, he was an avid enthusiastic of the sport. He often said that it was the perfect sport for a man of his size.
On this day, after a satisfying end to a match, he assented to visiting a club for a fun night of drinks and dancing on the insistence of his teammates.
That was how Beord Su fund himself nursing his third beer on the sixtieth floor of a night club and longing for the warmth of his bed.
It was not that he hated fun but loud noise, endless alcoholic drinks, high pitched screams of women and men that were twisting their waists and gyrating so hard that it looked as if they would break apart at any moment was not exactly his idea of fun.
And then there were the weird ones who came with their virtual helmets to the club. They were dancing to a completely different rhythm.
Last on the menu were the virtual idols on the pillars in the middle of the dance floor whose inhuman moves were being replicated by some people. Did they realize that virtual idols had no bones so they could move as they wished which was not the case for the human body!! Somebody would be going to the hospital tonight surely.
He would take a night at home watching a movie in front of a fire place with some popcorn, a cold beer and company over this any day.
"Come on old man, are you going to be grouchy all night?" One of his work mates who was also a team mate asked him.
He took away the beer bottle in Beord’s hands which was now empty and handed him another.
This would be his fourth beer and Beord was not so sure that he should be having it. He was already feeling a bit intoxicated and unbalanced as it was.
His colleague pulled him to his feet and forced him to stand, "I bet some money that you would dance tonight and get some female company. I will make sure that you do both so that I win the pool."
The persistent colleague was Jimmy, the funny guy around the office. He could fit in anywhere and join any conversation smoothly in the middle as if he had been part of it right from the beginning.
"It won’t work." Beord said.
Jimmy ignored Beord, he looked at the variety of female dancers on the floor and whistled.
"Take a look at all these beautiful women here tonight. I mean really, take a look at them. Not just the ones here in VIP sections but those in the regular sections on the monitors around us."
The monitors were only available in VIP sections, and they were there for the sole purpose of giving rich clients an opportunity to invite regular people that caught their fancy to the VIP section.
An invitation was not cheap, it was made with an expensive bottle of liquor.
There was a rumor that the club planted beautiful women in regular sections for this specific purpose.
Beord looked bored and uninterested in the women . "I think you seem to forget that women run the other way they see me. Look around, a few have smiled at me but none has dared to approach me."
He was a handsome man, and many were attracted by his face but the moment he approached them, they eyed him from head to toe and suddenly got nervous.
If he could earn money from the number of times he had been asked about the girth of his manhood, he would afford the new Varakas flying car.
"Just one dance man,-with me." Jimmy added after a brief pause.
Beord pulled away from Jimmy and looked at him suspiciously. I take you as my friend but you want to eat me, his eyes conveyed.
Jimmy covered his mouth and guffawed. Then he punched Beord on the chest and said, "Get your mind out of the gutter man, I don’t mean a romantic dance but two guys jumping around on the dance floor."
"Will this get you to leave me alone?" Beord asked reluctantly.
"Yes." Jimmy assured him.
Beord gulped the entire beer in three sips and picked up another one from the table.
"One song." he told Jimmy.
"One song," Jimmy agreed.
Just like that, Beord was dragged to the dance floor, against his better senses.
He did as Jimmy suggested, bopped his head, tapped his foot and danced with his arms.
In his mind, he thought that he probably looked like a weird giant out there. Worse even, he did not know how to dance so this whole thing was an exercise in futility.
On the seventieth floor, Elroy who was hanging out with a group of fellow hockey players saw his brother on the monitor.
"Oh-ho-ho." he laughed and took and took a picture. "This is so making the rounds in the family. Our quiet Beord knows the way to a club after all."
Quiet Beord was already making plans to exit the club, he had had enough fun for the night.
Before he could tap Jimmy and tell him that he was done, a pair of female hands snaked around his waist suddenly and hugged him from the back.
Beord froze, he stopped moving because not only was he puzzled but he was also surprised. He was like a frozen ice cube and stayed still in one place.
The hands tugged on his shirt persistently, encouraging him to turn around.
Awkwardly, Beord faced the woman who dared to embrace him.
"What?" he asked defensively.
He practically barked the question out loud, and even though the music was quite loud, his friends managed to hear him. Jimmy for one slapped his forehead in frustration.
It was not that women always run from Beord because of his size, it was the scowl on his face and the way he shouted at them sternly without intending to.
The woman waved her hand, inviting Beord to lower his head so that she could speak to him clearly.
He lowered his head until their faces touched, and he was practically breathing on her neck.
He had not been this close to any woman like this in such a long time.
"Dance with me." she whispered to him.
Beord’s already blushing face became somewhat even redder, when she requested this.
He wondered what a beautiful woman like this was in search of from him.
"Don’t be shy big guy, some of us like them built like this, like you." she added.
Beord touched his neck and he scratched it.
"Me?" he pointed to himself uncertainly.
She smiled and nodded, "You." she repeated.
He was taller than her, all this whispering was straining his neck.
He looked at the private boxes which were available for those who wanted to dance privately. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
The woman grabbed his hand and said with a laugh, "I like the way you think big guy."
