"What.....what are you talking about?" Ye Qingyi asked with a laugh.

Fu Mingze held his daughter tightly and said "Don’t bother denying it, I already have the proof I need so just confess already."

"Well, your evidence must be false because I did nothing wrong. Four years ago, Nie Yujie came to me, asking for me to help her kill Yang Meiyi but I refused. Whatever happened to Yang Meiyi four years ago has nothing to do with me, it’s Nie Yujie doing and since I’m done here, I’m leaving."

Ye Qingyi trembled slightly at his threat but quickly composed herself. It’s a good thing that Yang Meiyi has lost her memory and now Nie Yujie is no longer her problem. She just has to leave this country as soon as possible before anything goes wrong.

"How was the surgery, are they both safe?" Tao Hui asked as soon as the surgeon came out of the operating room.

The surgeon removed his mask and said "The boy is safe but his mother..."

"What about my daughter? Is everything all right with my daughter?" Tao Hui asked anxiously.

"Unfortunately, your daughter suffered from internal bleeding and slipped into a coma." The doctor said.

"What?" A horrified voice said behind them.

Both the doctor and Tao Hui turned to see Fu Mingze’s horrified expression.

Tao Hui became angry when he saw Fu Mingze and immediately rushed to punch him in the face

Fu Mingze staggered backwards due to the force of the punch and Tao Hui dragged his collar shouting "This is all your fault, if anything happens to my daughter then I will kill you with my own hands."

"Mr Tao, you have to calm down." The doctor said, trying to separate the two men.

"I never should have brought her here, meeting you turned out to be her greatest misfortune." Tao Hui said in anger.

"Nothing will happen to her, my Meiyi will survive." Fu Mingze said, forcefully removing Tao Hui’s hand from his collar.

He looked at the doctor and said "I want to see her, I assure you that she will wake up once she hears her Mingze’s voice."

The doctor sighed and said "You can’t see her now. Tao Luqi will only be allowed visitors after an hour, we still need to monitor her situation."

Just then the door to the operating room opened and an unconscious Tao Luqi and Fu Liang were wheeled out of the operating room.

Fu Mingze immediately stopped the nurse and moved closer to Tao Luqi. He bent down to kiss her forehead gently and said "Our daughter is safe and times to you, our son will be able to live a healthy life. It’s just you now Meiyi, you have left us before, and for that, I will forgive you but please don’t leave us again, there is no way the kids and I can live without you. Come back to me Yang Meiyi, let’s finally have our happy ending."

A tear slipped out of Tao Luqi’s eyes and a soft laugh left Fu Mingze’s mouth when he saw it. To him, those tears were a sign that his Meiyi would definitely come back to him.

"I need to take her to her ward." The nurse said.

Fu Mingze nodded and kissed Tao Luqi’s lips saying "I will be waiting for you, my love."

After the nurse took Tao Luqi away, Fu Mingze faced the doctor and said "Is the result of the DNA test ready?"

"DNA test?" Tao Hui asked with a frown.

"Mr Fu asked me to conduct a DNA test between Tao Luqi and little Fu Liang and yes, the test results are ready. I will ask a nurse to bring it to you." The doctor replied and left the two men, hoping they wouldn’t fight again.

"That result will prove to you that she is Yang Meiyi and not Tao Luqi." Fu Mingze spoke out without looking at Tao Hui and left him alone when he saw the nurse coming with the test result.

"The doctor asked me to give you this." The nurse said.

Tao Hui slowly took the test result and then realized that his hands were shaking, but why? He was sure Tao Luqi was his daughter and not Yang Meiyi so why did he feel so nervous?

Standing alone in front of the operating room his daughter just come out from, Tao Hui slowly removed the result from the envelope and looked at it.

"This can’t be....it isn’t possible. Tao Luqi is my daughter so how is she Yang Meiyi? Did Mother lied to me or did you deceive me once again, Sang Xiu."

Fu Mingze smiled at his son and softly said "You made it little champ, daddy is so proud of you."

Fu Liang opened his eyes slowly as he heard his father’s voice "Dad, it hurts."

"You just had surgery, of course, it will hurt but it’s only for a little while. I need to inform the doctor that you are awake now."

"Dad, don’t leave me. Can’t you please stay till I fall asleep?" Fu Liang spoke softly, he could feel himself struggling to breathe but he refused to tell his dad, telling him would just make him even more worried.

"I will, dad will stay by your side till you fall asleep." Fu Mingze replied with a soft smile on his face, hoping that his son wouldn’t ask about his mother, how was he going to tell the kid that his mother had slipped into a coma while saving him?

"Little Mei, where is she? Mom said she was going to get us a matching bracelet." Fu Liang softly spoke, wanting to see his little sister who was a crybaby, he wanted to show her that he was all right and in no time he would be able to play with her again.

Fu Mingze laughed softly and said, "Your little sister is planning on how many games she will play with you before visiting you." There was no way, he was going to tell his son that his sister was kidnapped and was currently sleeping due to the exhaustion.

"And mom? Is mom all right after giving me her liver?"

Fu Mingze was silent for a moment and said "Your mom is stronger than you so of course she is alright, but she will be even better if you get well soon. Now stop asking me questions and rest, I will go call the doctor."
