"Are you excited? you are going to be turning eighteen tomorrow." Sang Xiu said to her daughter.

Yang Meiyi smiled and nodded "I have waited for tomorrow for a long time, I will finally be an adult."

Sang Xiu chuckled and asked "Are you having any troubles with your roommate?"

Yang Meiyi thought of Hou Fang, how arrogant and annoying the girl was and said "No, everything is fine."

"Will you be coming home tomorrow? I want to celebrate your birthday with you."

Yang Meiyi smiled and said "I will definitely come home tomorrow."

Sang Xiu chuckled and said "Now that you are turning eighteen, there will be nothing holding you back in your relationship with Fu Mingze right? Listen to me carefully Meiyi, I will definitely disown you if you get yourself pregnant."

"What do you mean by that? Your daughter is smarter than you think."

"I have no doubt that my daughter is smart but she tends to turn into an Idoit when it comes to her beloved Mingze. I just can’t help but be worried."

"There is nothing to be worried about, nothing like that will happen." Yang Meiyi said.

"I take your word for it, you better not get knock up."

"Yes ma. I won’t make you a grandmother very soon." Yang Meiyi said as she laughed softly.

"Whatever, I will see you tomorrow. I love you."

"I love you too, mom." Yang Meiyi said with a smile.

"Was that your mom?" Ma Xin asked.

Yang Meiyi nodded.

"Your mom is so cool. It’s a shame you won’t be spending your birthday with us." Ma Xin said with a frown.

Yang Meiyi smiled and said "I also won’t be spending the night here, I’m going to stay with him, but I’m definitely returning the day after tomorrow."

She and Ma Xin became fast friends and Meiyi ended up telling her all about her relationship with Fu Mingze but the only thing she hated about Ma Xin was that the girl lets herself to get bully by Hou Fang.

Meiyi looked at her friend and said "If Hou Fang and her minion dares to bully you, you better call me."

Ma Xin smiled and said "Will you leave your romantic get away to come fight for me?"

"Of course I will. Up till now, I still don’t understand why Wu Ling follows her around." Yang Meiyi said. Wu Ling was their fourth roommate and she has been practically licking the floor Hou Fang walk on.

Ma Xin scoffed and said "Unlike you, Wu Ling is obviously scared of offending Hou Fang. And the fact that you aren’t scared of her, bothers me sometimes, the Yang family isn’t that rich and definitely not richer than the Hou."

"Then what about you, why aren’t you scared of her?"

Ma Xin shrugged and said "Though I may not be from a rich family like you, Wu Ling and Hou Fang but my mother has always taught me to raise my head high regardless of the situation. She may be rich but she doesn’t scared me."

Yang Meiyi laughed softly and said "Your mother taught you well."

"Are you still not going to tell me the name of your boyfriend?"

Yang Meiyi smiled "Not yet." She carried her bag pack that contained some of clothes and said "I will tell you his name after our engagement date has been set. I have to go now, I will see you later."

Ma Xin smiled and hugged Yang Meiyi as she said "Take care and don’t have too much fun."

Yang Meiyi laughed and said goodbye to Ma Xin before leaving.

"Do you plan on sleeping in the office?" Bai Jian asked with a teasing smile as he placed a bottle of alcohol on the table.

"I’m not in the mood to drink." Fu Mingze said without taking his eyes from his laptop.

"You are about to get engaged, if you don’t balance your personal life and work life together, don’t be surprised if Yang Meiyi ends up leaving you."

Fu Mingze who was typing something on his laptop froze and looked at his friend coldly, he finally closed his laptop and asked "Do you think she might leave me?"

Bai Jian was surprised by the question, he suddenly laughed and asked "Were you worried about that? I was just joking, you and I both know that Yang Meiyi loves you."

"I know, I just..... Never mind."

"Do you feel insecure? She is young, pretty and now in the university, the possibility of her meeting younger guys and falling in love with one of them is high and then maybe she will realize that all she has felt for you were just childish infatuation and not real love."

Fu Mingze sighed and said "I change my mind, maybe I do need a drink." He was about to take a the bottle of alcohol when Bai Jian removed it from the table and said "You do not need a drink, what you need is to talk to her. In my opinion, I do not think what Yang Meiyi feels for you is just infatuation, if it was just that then she would have fallen in love with someone else by now. I mean the girl hasn’t even had her first kiss yet because she wants it to be with you."

Just then Fu Mingze phone vibrated, he picked the phone up and saw that it was a message from Meiyi asking if he was still in the office. He smiled and typed a reply saying [I’m about to leave.]

"Seeing that smile on your face, I guessing you just received a message from her." Bai Jian said and placed his hand on his chest and sighed dramatically "It’s so good to be in love."

"Stop being so dramatic and also stopped sleeping around. I see you with a new girl every week, aren’t you ashamed?" Fu Mingze said.

"Why should I be? I’m not just ready to get tied down yet." Bai Jian said with a smile.

Fu Mingze scoffed and said "I’m leaving, should I drop you off."

"No, I came with my own car."

"Ok." Fu Mingze said and left.

Jiachen Estate

Fu Mingze opened the door to his house and was surprised when he saw a female shoe lying on the floor, he knew it belonged to Yang Meiyi after all she was the only one he gave a spare key to his house.

"You are finally here." Yang Meiyi said as she came out of the kitchen and stood in front of him.

"Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?" Fu Mingze asked, he was still surprised that she was here, especially because they agreed to meet tomorrow.

"I wanted to surprised you. Are you not happy that I’m here?" Yang Meiyi asked, her happy face was already changing to a sad one when he pull her closer and gently press his lips to her forehead, he cupped her cheek and said "Of course I’m happy, I’m just surprised, if I knew you were coming, I would have been here a long time ago."

Yang Meiyi smiled and said "I know." She separated herself from him and asked "Have you had dinner?"

Fu Mingze noticed the apron she was wearing and asked "You cooked?"

Yang Meiyi nodded "Xia Lian told me you weren’t going to come home early so I started late, it’s almost ready."

After eating, Yang Meiyi smile never left her face especially because Fu Mingze complimented her on her food.

Now, as both of them laid on the bed looking at each other, Fu Mingze asked with a smile "Are you that happy about me complimenting your food?"

With a smile still on her face, Meiyi nodded and said "Since you like my food so much, I don’t mind cooking for you all the time."

Fu Mingze laughed softly and said "There is no need for that, I can always hire a chef."

Meiyi let out a disappointed ’Oh’ and said "It’s alright, I was just suggesting."

Fu Mingze suddenly held her hand and said "I like when you cook for me so I will really love it if you could do it sometimes, but I want you to focus on your studies and not on me, I will be fine."

Yang Meiyi smiled, this was one of the reason she loved him, he always think about her and her future. She looked at him and suddenly bought her hand to his chest asking "Does it still hurt?"

Fu Mingze held her hand that was placed on his chest and said "I’m fine. Doctor Fei prescribed new medicines for me and I’ve been feeling better ever since I started taking them. He even said if my condition keep improving then I might not need a new heart."

"That’s good. I get scared of just thinking of you being in an operating table."

Fu Mingze laughed and bought his thumb to her lips, he carress her lips gently. His eyes darkened with desire as he asked asked "Have you still not kissed anyone yet?"

Yang Meiyi was surprised by his question, she looked straight in his eyes and said "I want it to be you, I want to have all my first with you and no one else."

Bai Jian was right, perhaps he was just feeling a little insecure. She still kept all her first for him and he would be lying if he said that didn’t make him happy, if that didn’t feel his heart with warmth and excitement. He has always seen her as a little kid who did nothing but talk nonesense about how she wanted to be with him and the day he realized he also wanted to be with her, he felt as if it was wrong, after all she was just seventeen. But this seventeen years old made him felt things he has never felt before, he wanted her badly. His eyes moved to the small standing clock on his nightstand and when he saw the time was twelve am, he did what he has been craving to do since he realized his feeling for her, he pressed his lips to hers and kissed her like a starved man.
