When Yang Meiyi left Yang’s Mansion, she took a cab and asked to be taken to the nearest bar.

As Yang Meiyi sat on the bar stool facing the bartender, she said "Can you give me the strongest drink you have?"

The young bartender looked at her and was about to ask if she was of age, but when he saw the immense sadness in her eyes, he decided to just get her the drink.

Just then her phone rang and she saw Fu Mingze’s name on the screen, she had saved his name as ’My Mingze’ seeing his name put a slight smile on her face, she picked it up and slurred "Mingze."

Fu Mingze frowned when he heard the sound of her voice, he could also hear the soft music from the background "Where are you?"

"Hmm... I’m in a place where I can forget everything." Yang Meiyi replied giggling.

Fu Mingze sighed helplessly and asked, "Are you drunk?"

"Hmmm....no."

"Give the phone to the person serving you drink." Fu Mingze said as he collected his car key, ready to leave his house.

Yang Meiyi nodded and pointed her phone to the bartender, the bartender collected the phone with a sigh and after a while, he spoke out the address of the bar before giving the phone back to Yang Meiyi.

As if knowing the phone was already in Yang Meiyi hand’s, Fu Mingze said "Stay put and don’t go anywhere."

Yang Meiyi giggled and replied, "Yes sir."

The bartender looked at the drunk woman in front of him and said "You have to stay put and no more drinks for you. Your boyfriend has threatened to kill me if I serve you any more drinks and truth be told I love my life, so just stay here and don’t make a fuss."

Within twenty minutes, Fu Mingze was already at the bar, he entered inside and could not find Yang Meiyi. He immediately went straight to the bartender and asked "Where is she?"

"She was here a while ago and I was really looking after her but then my boss called me and when I came back, she was no longer here."

"And you didn’t think to look for her?" Fu Mingze asked in anger.

The bartender shrugged and said, "My job is to serve drinks and not to babysit."

Fu Mingze would have beaten this guy to a pulp if he didn’t have a drunken wife to look for, he decided to ignore the bartender and look for his wife. He took out a photo of Yang Meiyi on his phone and asked a woman to help him check the female restroom and when the woman said she was not there, he decided to look outside.

When he came outside, he saw her looking through his car window as if trying to see the person who was inside the car, he sighed in relief and walked up to her and said "I told you to stay put, why did leave? What if something bad had happened to you?"

Yang Meiyi looked at him in daze and suddenly hugged him as she said in excitement. "You look just like my hubby."

Fu Mingze hugged her back tightly and inhaled deeply as if he were breathing her in, after a while, he pulled away from her and asked "Do I look just like your hubby or am I your hubby?"

Yang Meiyi cupped his cheek and turned his cheek from left to right as if examining him, she let out a cheeky l grin and said "You are my hubby."

Fu Mingze laughed softly and patted her hair gently as he said "Since I am your hubby then why didn’t you listen to me, I told you to wait for me in the bar."

"I got tired of waiting so I decided to go look for you and then I found your car but no matter how much I looked I just couldn’t find you." Yang Meiyi as her eyes became teary. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Fu Mingze noticed how she was about to cry and said "I’m here now, ain’t I?" It was best if he didn’t argue with her, the most important thing to him was that she was ok. He held her hand and said, "Let’s go home."

"Can we get ice cream?" Yang Meiyi asked with pouted lips.

Fu Mingze chuckled and said, "Yes, we can get whatever you want." He sighed in relief when he had worn the seat belt on her and turned to get in the car.

Fu Mingze drove to Jiachen estate and carried Yang Meiyi to the bedroom, he placed her on the bed when he heard her saying "I feel sick."

"What else did you expect when you drank so much." Fu Mingze replied mockingly. "Don’t move, I will get you a glass of water."

Fu Mingze went downstairs to get her a glass of water and when he came back upstairs, he saw that she was already asleep. He placed the glass of water on the nightstand and sighed, sitting on the bed he arranged the loose strands of her hair and said "I hate seeing you like this. You have no idea how much it kills me to know that you are hurting and there is nothing I can do to take even a little of your pain. I hope you will talk to me more about how you feel, I hope you will tell me how to help you Meiyi. Sang Xiu may no longer be here to protect you but I will always be here, to protect, love and cherish you." He kissed her forehead and whispered, "I love you."

"Say what you want to say and get out of my sight." Grandpa Sang said to the man he has always hated, he warned his daughter not to get involved with such a gold digger but as always the girl didn’t listen to him.

Yang Jiu looked at the old man and said "How does it feel for your daughter to leave the world before you?"

Grandpa Sang let out a short laugh and said "Are you crazy? Not even when I am dead will you be able to lay your filthy hands in my company."

Grandpa Sang hit his desk in anger and shouted "Do not utter my granddaughter’s name from your mouth." Suddenly, the man felt a pain in his heart, he held his chest as he collapsed on the floor while Yang Jiu just watched.

Yang Jiu walked towards Grandpa Sang, he bent down to check the man’s pulse and when he felt like there was no pulse, he smiled and shouted in agony "Help! Somebody call a doctor!"
