Yang Meiyi woke up with a huge headache, she placed a hand on her head and muttered to herself "Why does it hurt so much?"

"Take this, it will help with the hangover." Fu Mingze said as he handed a glass of water and aspirin to her.

Yang Meiyi accepted it and after drinking it, she cleared her throat when she saw Fu Mingze just standing there giving her a strict look. She looked at him and said "I’m sorry, I won’t drink again. I just got so upset when I saw the way they all acted after my mom’s will was read, not even my dad called me back when I left."

"So your best idea was to go to the bar and drink yourself to stupor?"

"I just wanted to forget even if it was just for a little while." Yang Meiyi said softly.

Fu Mingze sighed and said "You should have come to me, if you need someone to talk to then you can talk to me. We have been together for three years, don’t you trust me?"

"Of course I do. I made a mistake and I won’t do it again."

"And what was your mistake Yang Meiyi?"

Yang Meiyi looked at Fu Mingze’s cold gaze and said "I shouldn’t have gone to the bar, I shouldn’t have drank instead I should have come to you."

Fu Mingze walked closer to her, he sat on the bed and said "Do you know how worried I was about you?"

"It won’t happen again." Yang Meiyi whispered before crashing her lips against him, she felt as if it had been long before they had a proper kiss, she smiled when Fu Mingze kissed her back and laid her gently on the bed.

Though Fu Mingze kissed her back, he wanted her to be in control, he wanted to take only what she gave to him and didn’t want to push her to what she wasn’t ready for. He was just going to follow her lead and as Yang Meiyi began unbuttoning his shirt, a loud ringing tone broke the atmosphere.

Fu Mingze broke the kiss and said "That’s your phone."

Yang Meiyi nodded and collected her phone that was placed on the nightstand, she immediately sat upright when she saw that it was a call from the Sang mansion, she answered it and before she could say hello, she heard the frantic voice of the maid saying "Old Master Sang had an heart attack and has been rushed to the hospital."

"What? How did that even happen, his doctor said he was fine. I’m on my way."

Fu Mingze had already buttoned his shirt when he heard the maid’s voice and said "Let’s go. I will drive you."

Yang Meiyi stood up from the bed and anxiously said "I didn’t even ask which hospital."

Seeing her anxiousness, Fu Mingze held her hand and said "Calm down. I will find it as soon as we get into the car so don’t worry."

"What if something happens to him? Mom will never forgive me for not taking proper care of Grandpa, I was out drinking instead of looking after him." Yang Meiyi said as tears fell from her eyes.

Fu Mingze put her into his arms and said "It’s not your fault. Your grandpa’s health is unpredictable so it isn’t your fault. Your mom won’t blame you for anything, because it isn’t your fault so get that idea out of your head." As he hugged Yang Meiyi, he silently prayed that nothing should happen to her grandfather, it would destroy his Meiyi. Please, let the old man be saved.

"He is gone." Those were the words her dad told her when she met him in the hospital. He tried to embrace her but Yang Meiyi pushed him away and looked at him in disbelief as she asked "What do you mean by he is gone? You must be mistaken because Grandpa Sang is one of the healthiest old men out there. Though he was a little shaken up about Mom but he was fine. His doctor said he was fine!"

Yang Jiu looked at his daughter in sympathy and said "Meiyi I’m sorry. If I had come sooner perhaps he would still be alive. By the time I entered his office, he was already there lying on the floor."

"Grandpa can’t be gone, it isn’t possible." Yang Meiyi said as she burst into tears, she bent down and cried like a baby and didn’t even realize when Yang Jiu held her in his arms.

Once again Fu Mingze’s heart ached for his wife and for some reason, he wondered if Yang Jiu was telling the truth.
