Yang Jiu looked at his daughter in surprise and asked "Does that mean you know the truth?"

Yang Jia nodded and said, "I can’t believe that you killed old master Sang and then thought you could hide it from me."

"I wanted to protect you, I didn’t want you to think of me as a murderer because I am your father and every father needs their daughter to always think of them as a knight and I am no different Yang Jia." Yang Jiu said with a bitter smile.

Yang Jia smiled and hugged her father, after a few seconds she separated herself from him and said "You will always be my knight dad, besides, you only did what you thought was right. Yang Jiu felt comforted that his daughter didn’t hate him and thought of him as a murderer but at the same time he felt troubled by how unbothered she seemed over her father killing someone.

"I do? Even you look familiar. I’m Nie Yujie." Nie Yujie said as she stretched forth her hand for a handshake with a gentle smile on her face.

Yang Meiyi raised her brow in surprise as she shook Nie Yujie’s hand and said "I’m Yang Meiyi."

"Yang Meiyi? You are Yang Jia’s sister." Nie Yujie stated as her smile left her face.

"Step-sister to be precise and you are Gu Zhen’s fiancee and also Zhang Chun’s love interest, how did that come to be?"

Nie Yujie widened her eyes when she heard Zhang Chun’s name and asked "You know Zhang Chun?"

"Apart from the fact we went to the same university, he is also my best friend." Yang Meiyi replied.

Nie Yujie narrowed her eyes suspiciously at Yang Meiyi and asked "You want to be friends with me?"

Yang Meiyi shrugged and said "I see no reason why we can’t be friends. If the rumors I have heard about you are true then you need some real friends in your life and I can be that person to you."

Nie Yujie scoffed and said, "Why would I want to be friends with the sister of the woman who wants to take my fiance away from me."

Nie Yujie looked at the outstretched hand before sighing, she shook the hand and said "Friends."
