Transmigration:The Villain Wants A Happy End Without His BeastHusbands-Chapter 111: He Needs Time To Recover
It was said that Wind City was one of the cities closest to the heavens within the Heavenly Realm. The only place higher was the Sky Palace itself.
The city was filled with towering mountains and soaring structures that seemed to pierce the clouds. Mist and dew constantly drifted across the ground, and lanterns glowed softly through the haze, giving the entire city a grim yet vibrantly ethereal atmosphere.
At that moment, within the sacred grounds of a grand manor where the dragon clans resided, particularly the Jun family divine beast royals, servants and guards rushed about in hurried preparation.
"Hurry with the dishes! The divine beast prince has just come out of seclusion!" 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"Guards, take your stations!"
"Bring fresh sheets to the inner chambers!"
Voices echoed from every direction as servants moved quickly through the estate.
Just then, three carriages drawn by spirit horses entered the compound.
Guards immediately moved to surround them, standing at attention to welcome the arriving nobles.
The door of the first carriage suddenly burst open.
It swung outward so forcefully that it smacked the guard closest to it in the face.
Two small children, a boy and a girl with dark blue hair, leapt out laughing loudly.
Dressed in fine azure robes befitting their royal status, they giggled as they ran past the guards, chasing each other across the courtyard.
A moment later, a dragon-beast woman stepped out from the same carriage.
She wore elegant robes of azure and gold. Her grey reptilian eyes gleamed sharply beneath her long lashes, while dark blue dragon horns curved gracefully from her head. Her hair, the same deep blue shade, was decorated with delicate golden ornaments.
The guards bowed deeply as she stepped down.
Her lips curled into a faint smirk.
The second carriage opened next.
Shenzhen jumped out first, full of energy as always.
Han Yunyi followed after him more gracefully.
Shenzhen hurried over to the dragon woman.
"I think big brother is still asleep, Shanyuan," he said.
Jun Shanyuan glanced toward the final carriage. The one everyone else was quietly waiting for.
But the door remained closed.
She let out a tired sigh.
"Yes," she said. "I think he is."
"He only came out of seclusion last night," Yunyi said with an amused smile. "Of course he needs time to recover."
Shenzhen immediately burst into laughter. "This is so embarrassing."
At that exact moment, the door of the final carriage finally opened.
The courtyard instantly fell silent.
Everyone turned to look.
Jun Haoxuan stepped out.
Even half-awake, his presence was impossible to ignore.
His long hair fell loosely around his shoulders, and his exquisite robes hung casually around his tall frame as though he had dressed in haste. His reptilian golden eyes were half-lidded, clearly revealing that he had only just woken up.
Shenzhen immediately covered his mouth, trying, and failing, to hold back his laughter.
Jun Haoxuan slowly looked around the courtyard with a slightly confused expression, as if he had momentarily forgotten where he was.
All the guards and servants bowed deeply in respect.
Shenzhen’s laughter finally slipped out. "We’re in Wind City now, brother."
"Oh." Haoxuan yawned quietly.
Like the disciplined divine beast he was, he covered his mouth elegantly with the back of his hand.
Then he nodded slightly. "Let’s go inside."
Yunyi smiled. "Alright."
She moved first, followed by Shenzhen, who skipped along happily behind her.
"A-Sheng, A-Li! Time to go inside!" Jun Shanyuan called to her children as she began walking.
The two children immediately laughed and chased each other toward the manor.
Meanwhile, the guards and servants began unloading the luggage from the carriages.
Jun Haoxuan lingered behind for a moment.
His golden eyes lifted toward the sky.
Dark clouds had gathered above Wind City, thick and heavy, swirling restlessly across the heavens.
It looked like a thunderstorm was coming.
Haoxuan let out another quiet yawn before finally making his way inside the manor.
Soon after, he settled into his private chambers.
A servant prepared a hot bath for him, and once he had changed into fresh robes, Haoxuan sat by the table with a cup of wine.
He had barely taken a sip when a servant entered the chamber and bowed deeply.
"Your Highness, a letter has arrived for you from Earth City."
She stepped forward and presented a sealed scroll.
Haoxuan gestured for her to approach.
The servant immediately handed the scroll to him.
Haoxuan studied the seal. It bore the symbol of a pagoda.
His eyes widened slightly. "Old Master Gu?"
He looked at the servant. "You may leave."
The servant bowed once more and quietly exited the chamber.
Haoxuan immediately opened the scroll and read the letter.
Old Master Gu had written only a few lines.
But those lines made his expression darken.
She had discovered the whereabouts of the Dragon Crystal.
It had appeared in Water City.
And according to her message, the White Tiger prince had already begun moving.
Jun Haoxuan’s expression twisted into a deep frown. "Rong Yue..."
He reread the letter slowly before placing it down on the table.
Then he rubbed his temples heavily.
"If she sensed it in Water City... someone must be using its power. But who?"
He couldn’t deny his shock.
He had been in seclusion for nearly six months, but there had been no news of the Dragon Crystal during that time.
Not since the day it had mysteriously vanished from both his grasp and the abyss serpent clan’s.
And now it had suddenly resurfaced.
If the Lans learned of this before he acted, the situation would become even more complicated.
Jun Haoxuan immediately rose to his feet.
He stepped outside his chamber and approached one of the nearby guards.
The guard bowed respectfully.
Haoxuan placed a hand on the man’s shoulder.
"Prepare a carriage," he ordered calmly. "I will be traveling to Earth City."
He needed to meet Old Master Gu personally and confirm the information before heading to Water City.
Just then, Shenzhen approached from behind.
He had clearly overheard everything.
The guard bowed and quickly left to carry out the order.
"Why are you going to Earth City, big brother?" Shenzhen asked curiously.
Haoxuan turned toward him and gave him a gentle smile.
He placed a hand on Shenzhen’s shoulder.
"There’s something I need to take care of there," he said softly. "You don’t need to worry."
Shenzhen nodded slowly. "Well then... does this mean you’re leaving us here?"
"We came all the way here because of you, you know," he added with a playful grin. "To keep your boring life exciting."
Haoxuan chuckled quietly. "I’ll will return soon."
With that, he turned and returned to his chambers.
Shenzhen watched his brother’s back as he left.
The playful expression slowly disappeared from his face.
His eyes narrowed slightly.
Everything about this situation made him uneasy.
