Transmigration:The Villain Wants A Happy End Without His BeastHusbands-Chapter 38: Dance Of Dragons (2)
All the way within the manor of Jun Haoxuan, the great divine beast prince of the Azure Dragon Clan, two dragon beast men stood locked in combat in the open grounds.
Their curved dragon horns gleamed beneath the lights. Reptilian eyes glowed with fury. Swords clashed again and again in their grips, each strike ringing sharply as they fought with ruthless speed.
The ground beneath their feet cracked, spiderweb fractures spreading outward as violent waves of aggressive spiritual energy erupted with every collision.
Other dragons stood along the sidelines, watching with guarded expressions. No one stepped forward. No one dared.
Within seconds, the fight escalated.
Brilliant light flared as both combatants were swallowed by shifting glows, their forms expanding, twisting and then two enormous dragons tore free into the sky.
Flames spilled from their jaws as they clashed midair, claws and fangs colliding.
Roars thundered across the academy, echoing through buildings as the sky itself seemed to tremble beneath the violence.
That was when Rong Yue arrived.
He stepped into the manor grounds with a deep, severe frown, guards following closely behind him.
A dense silver glow wrapped around his body, heavy and oppressive, pressing outward with unmistakable authority.
Murmurs rippled through the gathered dragons.
One dragon beast hurried forward with several guards at his back. "You are not permitted to enter until tomorrow night, Prince Rong Yue."
Rong Yue shot him a cold, murderous glare.
"But you prideful morons are allowed to shatter the peace with your bickering?" he snapped. "Intervene and stop the battle. Or I will."
The dragon beast frowned, his reptilian eyes narrowing. Around them, some dragons glared openly at Rong Yue while others exchanged uneasy murmurs.
"We can’t just—"
"Do not do as he says, Canglin." A voice cut through sharply.
Rong Yue turned, blue feline eyes flashing as he glared at the beast.
Headmaster Fang Lingbo.
"Why shouldn’t he?" Rong Yue asked coolly.
Fang Lingbo strode closer, deliberately closing the distance in a clear attempt at intimidation.
Rong Yue didn’t flinch. His eyes glowed brighter as he tilted his head, daring Fang Lingbo to try something.
"Why shouldn’t he?" he repeated. "You’re the headmaster of the academy, aren’t you? Then you should understand this. Just because your festival is sacred to you dragons, it doesn’t give you the right to disrupt the rest of us with your unnecessary noise."
Fang Lingbo’s expression darkened. "We cannot interfere in each other’s battles. We... dragons are—"
"Ugh. You overgrown snakes."
A lazy, deep voice cut through the chaos, drawing every gaze upward.
Yan Wuhen stood atop one of the roofs, nine tails fanned out around him, framing his body and loose robes. A red-gold glow clung to him like living fire as he tilted his head back, watching the night sky blaze with dragonfire.
Above, enormous beasts clashed, their wings beating violently, flames spilling from their jaws as roars shook the air.
Rong Yue’s lips twitched when he saw him. "Are you here to annoy them, Yan Wuhen?"
"No," Wuhen replied lazily, finally looking down at him. "Is Haoxuan dead or something?"
"Hey! Speak of the prince with respect!" one dragon barked.
"Damned fox," another muttered.
"Shut up," a third hissed. "I’d rather not provoke him."
"Lingbo already provoked the tiger."
"We should stop Yi and Bai Lu—"
"Do you want to start a war? Let them kill each other."
As if on cue, the dragons above suddenly shifted.
Flames rained downward, scorching the academy grounds. Trees ignited. Flower bushes burned to ash.
One massive dragon dove low, its fire spraying dangerously close.... straight toward the imperial library.
Rong Yue leapt onto the roof, his eyes narrowing sharply. "Oh no."
Yan Wuhen, on the other hand, leaned forward, watching the chaos with bright interest. A wicked grin spread across his face.
"Oh, they’re really going to piss off the slippery one if they scratch that building," he said gleefully. "This is thrilling."
Rong Yue rolled his eyes. He thrust his hand forward.
A colossal astral projection burst from his palm. Silver light exploding outward as a massive tiger took form, its size rivaling the dragons themselves.
The tiger lunged.
With a thunderous snarl, it slammed into the low-flying dragon from behind, headbutting it away from the imperial library and forcing it back into the sky.
Yan Wuhen’s grin vanished instantly. "Aww. Why?"
The silver tiger bared its fangs at the dragons, growling low and deadly. Reluctantly, they retreated higher into the sky, returning to their battle.
Rong Yue dismissed the projection with a flick of his hand.
Yan Wuhen clicked his tongue, crossing his arms.
"It’s boring now," he sighed. "Get Haoxuan to stop them. Because if I end up stopping this—"
He smiled sweetly. "—it won’t end well for anyone."
The dragons murmured uneasily.

Meanwhile, Ningyan was already out of the manor.
He sprinted across rooftops, his eyes locked on the chaos above.
Dragons tore through the sky, flames raining down as students below rushed to contain the damage. Water users extinguishing fires that had caught trees, bushes, and nearby buildings.
It was terrifying.
Especially when he saw it.
That enormous astral tiger, silver and blazing, slamming into a dragon midair, diverting it away from the imperial library.
The dragons were monsters.
They fought without restraint, without care, as if the lives below meant nothing.
Ningyan spotted Rong Chao in the distance, charging forward with several tiger beasts in full beast form. They were heading toward the direction of the Azure Dragon manor, nestled deeper into the mountains than the others.
Why were they going there?
He leapt onto another roof to follow. When fire exploded in his path.
A dragon crashed straight into the building beneath his feet.
Ningyan wasn’t fast enough.
The impact sent him flying. He slammed hard into the rubble, pain shooting through his back as debris rained down around him.
The dragon roared and surged upward again. Another blast of fire came roaring toward him.
This time, Ningyan scrambled to his feet in sheer panic, diving out just as the building ignited behind him. Flames swallowed the structure as the dragons took to the sky once more.
He gritted his teeth, wiping dust and blood from his face.
"Do they even care if they kill other beasts?" he muttered. "Selfish pricks."
He didn’t stop moving.
Climbing a tree, leaping onto another roof, he ran hard, his eyes constantly tracking the battle above, refusing to let them catch him again.
Somewhere along the way, he lost sight of Rong Chao.
But he could feel Yan Wuhen’s presence closing in.
Is he already at the Azure manor?
Ningyan frowned. Going there was a terrible idea. But what was unfolding above him felt unreal. Something he’d only ever read about in books.
And books hadn’t done it justice.
The dragons suddenly hovered face to face in the sky, locked in a deadly standoff.
"Are they... going to finish each other off?" Ningyan whispered and... stopped.
Fire gathered in both their mouths.
Then, lightning split the heavens.
Deep blue arcs wrapped violently around both dragons, striking with terrifying accuracy. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
The beasts roared once before being slammed downward, crashing into the ground and morphing mid-fall into their wounded beastmen forms.
They didn’t move.
Silence followed.
Ningyan stared, heart pounding, breath caught in his throat. "...What the hell was that?"
