Chapter 140: Chapter 141: The Thorny Beauty

The Twilight Shadow Clan was rumored to be a mysterious and powerful faction from outside the known regions. Its headquarters were neither in the Central Plains, the Southern Jungles, the Eastern Viggo, nor the Northern Family territories.

In truth, it was almost impossible for the Twilight Shadow Clan to establish a headquarters within the Skywind Dynasty, as the court’s relentless suppression left them with virtually no room to operate within the empire.

For one of the three Holy Maidens of this generation, the seductive Ken Ken, to appear suddenly at Aizen’s residence late at night was entirely unexpected.

"The night wind is chilly, and Ken ken is feeling unwell. Since the Devil’s Heir seems interested in a little... sparring, why not invite Ken ken inside for a chat?" 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Ken Ken’s graceful figure swayed alluringly, her delicate, charming face carrying an enchanting smile. Her words, however, were enough to make any man’s stomach churn with heat.

Aizen shook his head and chuckled lightly. "Let’s not beat around the bush. If you’ve dared to enter my residence tonight, you must have come prepared. But I have no interest in whatever your Twilight Shadow Clan is planning, nor do I wish to have any dealings with you.

"Let’s pretend nothing happened tonight. Miss Ken Ken, please leave."

"Are all men so heartless? Ken ken came here out of admiration, eager to catch a glimpse of the Devil’s Heir. But now it seems quite disappointing... A grand Devil’s Heir, yet so wary of little old Ken ken ? Could it be... you’re afraid I’ll devour you?"

Her voice was mesmerizing, but by the time she finished speaking, her tone had grown colder.

She stopped talking altogether because Aizen’s hand was already resting on the hilt of his blade, his gaze and energy locking firmly onto her.

Words were no longer necessary.

Any more wasted breath would only lead to crossed blades.

"There’s still time to leave. If you don’t, I will have to test just how deep the Holy Maiden’s skills run tonight!"

Aizen lowered his eyelids, his aura becoming dense and oppressive.

His grip on the blade was steady, unmoving, but anyone could imagine that the moment he drew it, it would strike with the speed and force of lightning.

The wind rustled his dark hair, his eyes cold and his smile growing darker.

Anyone familiar with him knew that the more he smiled, the stronger his intent to kill.

Aizen was not familiar with Aizen—or perhaps, even if she were, her fearless nature meant she wouldn’t retreat over a single threat.

"If the Devil’s Heir wants to test Ken ken’s depths, then I shall oblige... But if you happen to get hurt, Ken ken would feel terribly sorry..."

As she spoke, her figure suddenly darted forward.

In that moment, the thin veil draped over her seemed to fall away, and she appeared as though she were about to disrobe entirely, rushing toward her lover.

Her fragrance filled the air as her glowing skin shone faintly. Her movements shifted into seven or eight seductive postures, and suddenly, six or seven identical shadows lunged toward Ken ken simultaneously.

It was a beauty throwing herself into his arms.

Surely, no man could resist. Surely, no man could draw his sword against such a scene.

This was a unique technique, combined with a spiritual charm, designed to be most lethal against men.

Aizenwas no exception—he was still a man.

But his mind was steadfast, silently reciting the Ice Art. In that moment, faced with the eight shadows and the vision of a seemingly naked beauty rushing toward him, he closed his eyes.

"Shing!"

The blade unsheathed with a sharp, piercing sound, shattering the enchanting atmosphere. The murmurs of a woman’s seductive voice instantly vanished.

With the blade in his hand, the faint scent of blood seemed to fill the air, leaving nothing but a murderous intent.

The temperature in the courtyard plummeted as if it had dropped by a dozen degrees.

The flower branches around them trembled, petals cascading to the ground.

The blade’s light flashed briefly, like a cold moon slicing through the night. At an impossible angle and speed, it instantly dispersed seven of the shadows

A figure suddenly drew close, carrying a fragrant breeze as she fell into his arms.

This beauty was fiery and passionate—who could push her away?

In that instant, Aizen’s eyes snapped open, like two flashes of lightning under the moonlit night. His mental energy surged, radiating from his gaze.

Ghost Eye Enchantment!

The figure that had fallen into his embrace was none other than Ken ken clutching a cold, gleaming dagger. If she managed to plunge into his arms, a single stab would surely pierce him through.

This beauty, who had just claimed she’d feel sorry if she hurt him, was clearly a ruthless and deadly opponent.

But before she could fully enter his embrace, Aizen’s piercing gaze locked onto her.

In that instant, Ken ken felt her mind go blank, as though her consciousness had been shattered. By the time she regained her senses, a sharp pain shot through her wrist, and her dagger was already flying through the air.

She countered with a palm strike, her hand soft and gentle as if caressing a lover, aimed at Aizen’s chest.

Aizen smiled faintly. His hands darted out like lightning, as swift and fierce as an eagle’s talons, gripping her shoulders. With a gentle twist using the Cloud Hand technique, he flipped her body effortlessly.

Ken Ken spun like a ball, her back pressed against Aizen’s chest as he held her firmly in his embrace.

"You heartless scoundrel."

Ken Ken pouted playfully, but her eyes glinted with murderous intent. Her right hand darted like a serpent, slipping under her arm as her five fingers aimed for Aizen’s heart.

But her hand froze mid-motion.

Aizen’s grip on her shoulder had already shifted to her delicate swan-like neck.

Her soft, slender neck was far too fragile to withstand the strength of his hold.

"Men may be heartless, but I’m not just heartless—I’m ruthless. Since you refuse to leave, why not stay the night? I can be a good host."

Aizen whispered into Ken ken’s delicate ear, his breath warm and playful, while his grip on her neck remained firm and unyielding.

"Truthfully, I’d love to stay the night," Ken ken replied with a teasing smile, her tone light despite the situation. "But as the Holy Maiden of the Twilight Shadow clan, if word got out that I spent the night here, who knows how much attention it would draw to you?

"And if I return late, those bumbling subordinates of mine—well, they aren’t the most polite. If they start causing trouble and offend you, what then?"

Ken Ken’s composure was extraordinary. Even in such a predicament, she spoke to Aizen as though they were sharing intimate whispers.

"Heh..." Aizen chuckled and shook his head. "Miss Ken ken, I’m not afraid of heaven or earth, but I do fear one thing—beautiful women telling lies.

"I told you to leave, and you didn’t. Now that I’ve kept you here, do you really think you can escape from my grasp?

"As for what others think or do—well, I’ve already decided to keep you here. Not even the King of Heaven himself can stop me from taking a woman tonight."

"You... you really dare?"

Ken ken’s chest heaved with anger at Aizen’s crude, overbearing words, her demeanor finally cracking.

Who wouldn’t fear getting entangled with the Twilight Shadow Clan?

Who wouldn’t fear the chaos their fanatical followers could unleash?

No one—except for Aizen. He was a true madman who feared nothing.

"What’s wrong? Didn’t you say you wanted to stay?"

Aizen leaned closer, biting gently on Ken Ken’s earlobe before exhaling, his playful gaze full of mischief.

"I did want to stay, but tonight isn’t the right time," Ken Ken sighed, her tone soft yet tinged with regret. "Devil’s Heir, oh Devil’s Heir, the world underestimates you. With your strength, you’re far more than just the bottom of the Human Ranking List...

"I think I might actually like you now... But you’d better be careful. Don’t let me accidentally kill you one day."

Her voice carried a hint of melancholy, and the regret in her tone made Aizen feel an impending sense of danger.

Suddenly, his instincts flared, and a chill ran down his spine. Without hesitation, he leapt backward.
