Transmigration To Magus World-Chapter 29: Life-Saving Trump Card
Blood splattered on the ground, and a bloody mist filled the air with a nauseating stench.
Valentino had two of his ribs broken, and his internal organs were in excruciating pain from the shock. As soon as he landed, he spat out another mouthful of blood.
Aizen’s sudden sword strike had completely caught him off guard, especially with that overwhelming internal energy that was shockingly powerful.
If not for the inner armor he was wearing, and if Aizen’s Blade had not used the back of the blade to strike, that blow would have left him completely incapacitated.
Even so,Valentino was already terrified.
He never expected Aizento have hidden his strength so deeply.
That fierce strike had clearly been held back by Aizen; otherwise,Valentino would have already been cut into pieces.
"Brother Valentino."
Guts and Jerry were both startled by Aizen’s sudden attack, but they were currently being entangled by a series of flying darts. A moment’s distraction almost had them hit by poisoned darts, and both felt like crying inside, with an urge to flee in panic.
Aizen had moved too fast, so fast that neither of them could even comprehend what had happened before Valentino was struck and sent flying, coughing up blood.
It was a completely one-sided battle. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Valentino lay on the ground, coughing up blood, his right hand trembling with a split tiger’s mouth, eyes full of fear as he watched Aizen approach slowly with his sword.
He was like a lamb waiting to be slaughtered, resigned to letting Aizen strike him down.
"Aizen... what are you trying to do? If you dare to kill me, Elder Ronald won’t let you go. Whatever you want, just say it, and I can give it to you."
Valentino now looked nothing like his previously elegant self; his eyes, wide with terror, resembled those of a defeated, homeless dog, begging for mercy under Aizen’s sword.
Aizen’s lips curled into a cold smile, but he remained cautious, walking steadily towards Valentino.
The earlier sword strike had been meant to seriously wound Valentino, but when the blade struck his body, it had encountered a strong resistance, clearly from the inner armor he was wearing.
Since that strike hadn’t fully incapacitated Valentino, Aizen knew the principle: if you don’t kill a snake, it may strike back. So he stayed on high alert.
No matter how miserable Valentino looked now, even appearing defenseless, Aizen remained vigilant and did not relax at all.
"Aizen... don’t kill me, don’t kill me. I can give you my position. I can serve under you. As long as you don’t kill me, I’ll do anything."
Valentino kept backing away, struggling to get up and then turning to kneel before Aizen, kowtowing.
It was a comical scene.
Once, Aizen had knelt to Valentino on one knee, showing loyalty in submission. But now, it was Valentino kneeling and begging Aizen for his life. Their roles had completely reversed, and Valentino seemed even more spineless. In the face of death, he appeared even more willing to endure.
Aizen remained silent, acting as if he hadn’t heard a thing, and continued walking forward until he stopped suddenly 6 meters away from Valentino.
6 meters...
The moment Aizen paused, a venomous and murderous glint flashed in Valentino’s eyes. As he lifted his head from the ground, his left hand, hidden in his sleeve, flicked sharply.
"Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Two long needles, shimmering with a dark, ominous glow, shot out like arrows with the force of his wrist flick.
In an instant, they were right in front of Aizen.
This sudden sneak attack mirrored Aizen’s earlier unexpected sword strike: sudden, fierce, and terrifying!
Valentino even let out a sinister grin.
A hideous grin, like that of a demon.
He couldn’t help but smile because he was confident that this hidden needle technique would definitely kill Aizen when he was unprepared.
This life-saving trick had never been fully revealed, not even in his numerous confrontations with Leo.
In fact, no one in the entire Heavenly Demon Clan, aside from Valentino himself, knew he could use such a deadly hidden weapon technique.
This was his trump card, a life-saving move he would only use when facing death. Even when he had been humiliated by Leo, he had never used it.
He was indeed patient enough.
But unfortunately, his plan still failed. Aizen was also patient, and not only that, he never let down his guard for even a moment.
Aizen had kept his eyes on Valentino the whole time, never swayed by Valentino’s tears and pleas for mercy. He watched every move Valentino made, like a venomous snake observing its prey.
When he saw Valentino’s left hand subtly withdraw into his sleeve while kowtowing, his vigilance heightened to the extreme.
And sure enough.
He waited for that final moment.
The two poisonous needles came rushing at him, faster than his earlier sword strike, but Aizen, who had been ready, managed to intercept the attack with his long sword.
"Clink, clink!" Two crisp sounds rang out as Aizen deflected the two deadly needles with a single swing of his sword!
Valentino’s smile froze abruptly, his expression stiff and dumbfounded, his eyes filled with disbelief.
In a flash, Aizen appeared right before him. Valentino panicked and tried to get up and retreat, but Aizen kicked him down, pinning him to the ground.
"Spare me, spare me, please," Valentino begged, truly terrified now. Even after using his trump card, he had failed to kill Aizen, leaving him feeling only a chilling despair.
He knew now that Aizen wouldn’t let him go.
Aizen stepped hard on Valentino’s chest, causing the broken ribs to ache unbearably. Blood poured from his mouth.
Aizen’s heart was still pounding. Valentino had concealed his true abilities so well, even more terrifyingly than Leo.
Leo had been openly arrogant, his strength visible to all. But Aizen, with his hidden weapon technique, had kept his true skills secret.
If Aizen had chosen to confront Valentino head-on earlier, he might have been killed by this hidden weapon.
Back then, without sword skills, relying on only his bare hands, even if his internal energy was strong, he wouldn’t have been invulnerable to weapons. A single poisoned needle would have weakened him, and he would have met an unexpected defeat.
A scream suddenly erupted nearby: Guts had been struck by one of Lilith’s darts, pierced through the eye, and was now dead.
Hearing this, Valentino’s face turned even paler. He still had some fighting strength left, but he dared not resist, knowing that resistance would only hasten his death.
He still didn’t want to die.
"Valentino, do you want to live?" Aizen asked, a cold smile spreading across his narrowed eyes. Valentino saw only indifference and calmness in Aizen’s gaze.
It was a frightening message and a frightening man.
Someone who wore their killing intent on their face wasn’t truly terrifying. What was terrifying was someone who could hide their killing intent and remain calm and composed.
Valentino shivered inside, but Aizen’s words gave him a glimmer of hope. His tongue felt dry as he hurriedly nodded. "I do, I do! Don’t kill me. If you let me live, I will be loyal to you. I’ll do anything, even be your dog or your pig.
