Transmigration To Magus World-Chapter 67: Cruel and ruthless
In every human body, there are three major Core fields of energy: the upper, middle, and lower Core. Magus teachings describe these three Cores as the only fertile lands within the body, with the rest regarded as barren. Yet many who cultivate internal energy fail to fully grasp this concept, often treating the three Core as a single entity, which is quite a misconception.
The lower core is the center for cultivating essence, the middle Core nurtures Aura, and the upper Core houses the spirit. The upper Core lies slightly above the area known as the Ancestral Aperture, called the Mud Pill Palace. One’s mental strength, or spirit, is stored in this upper Core, but typically, only those who reach a profound level in Aura cultivation can refine their spirit.
In the Magus world, it’s rare to find individuals who cultivate to the point of connecting Aura and spirit. Only certain innate masters at the Sorcery Innate stage might achieve such a feat, nurturing the primordial soul, the essence of spiritual power. For now, Aizen is unaware of any method to strengthen his spirit to that level. He suspects, however,
*Ding*
"that techniques like the Nie family’s Ice Spirit Technique from Fengyun Tianxia or the Road to Seed Devil Heart from Fuyun Fanyun might help him do so."
But unfortunately, he hasn’t come across these kinds of techniques in any system treasure chests so far, so it remains a mere fantasy for now.
Brushing off the blood from the strip of human skin he held, Aizen tore a clean piece of fabric from Marco’s clothes, wrapped the skin securely, and tucked it into his robe. With that, he mounted his horse and sped back to where he’d come from.
By the time Aizen returned to the tavern, he found Blackhearted Hand sprawled out on the floor, gasping for air.
Six bodies lay scattered across the ground, with the last to die being the guard skilled in Iron Ring Fist.Aizen took a closer look; the guard had been killed by a poisonous dart that pierced his right eye, causing instant death. His eye socket, along with half his face, had already turned black, and a dark red-blue liquid seeped from his eye, still fresh, indicating he hadn’t been dead for long.
"Whew...whew...Senior Brother, two of the female attendants managed to escape..."
Blackhearted Hand was panting heavily, struggling to lift himself with one hand.
"Oh, is that so..." Aizen’s gaze lowered slightly, his mouth curving into a faint, sinister smile.
"Senior Brother?" Blackhearted Hand’s face tensed, sensing something was wrong.
But before he could fully grasp the dread building in his heart, Aizen’s palm was already pressed on the top of his head.
With a swift, practiced motion, Aizen activated the Devouring Technique.
Blackhearted Hand’s body convulsed as he let out a heart-wrenching scream. His eyes rolled back, veins bulging across his face as his last reserves of inner strength were drained by Aizen.
"Crunch."
The scream cut off abruptly. With a single squeeze,Aizen’s fingers crushed Blackhearted Hand’s skull, the force exploding it like a watermelon, scattering fragments of bone and brain matter. Aizen didn’t care about the gore staining his clothes—after all, these clothes weren’t his own, and he’d abandon them soon enough.
Unfazed,Aizen moved with the agility of a hawk taking flight. He had no intention of letting the two female attendants escape. Now that he had begun his slaughter, he intended to finish it completely, sparing no one. Woman or child, it made no difference to him—everyone would be silenced. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
The two women hadn’t made it far. In their panic, they had fled down the widest, clearest road, not realizing that the rain, though it washed away tracks, couldn’t hide them from Aizen’s pursuit. Within moments, he spotted his targets.
"No, please...don’t kill me! I’ll do anything..."
One of the women, seeing him closing in, realized escape was hopeless. She collapsed to her knees, tearing at her already-thin clothing in desperation, baring her pale, shivering skin to the rain. She was cold, yes, but she was far more terrified. Her eyes, wide with fear, begged him to spare her. Feigned charm mixed with genuine terror shone through her gaze. She offered her body—the only asset she had left—to try and buy her life.
"Who among us doesn’t feel emotions? Even a hardened heart can’t be entirely immune," thought Aizen. For a moment, his gaze flickered, his brow lifting slightly as he approached her.
Kneeling down beside her, he reached out, gently brushing the rain-soaked strands of hair from her face, tracing his fingers down her trembling cheek. She continued to shiver, her bare chest heaving with a mix of fear and hope, as if thinking she might seduce him into sparing her.
However, her hopes began to crumble. Although his hands touched her, Aizen’s face showed no hint of pleasure or interest. His expression was cold and distant, as if he were touching something revolting rather than a woman’s soft skin.
The second woman, still fleeing, hesitated as she looked back, her eyes filling with a sliver of hope. She, too, wanted to survive and thought she had more to offer than her companion. She considered herself prettier, with a better figure, and, most importantly, she was well-practiced in the art of pleasing men. Seeing Aizen stop for her companion gave her confidence. Surely, he wouldn’t be able to resist her charms as well.
"He’s a young man after all," she thought. "Why would he refuse such an opportunity?"
She bit her lip and turned back, deciding that returning to serve Aizen might give her a better chance at survival than trying to flee alone. After all, a woman with no Sorcery skill could only run so far—her escape would only delay the inevitable.
She had only covered a short distance back when a piercing scream shattered her composure, causing her legs to go weak as she stumbled to the ground.
Aizen’s hand, which had been idly stroking the first woman’s chest, suddenly became like a beast’s claw. His fingers plunged into her left chest, gripping her still-beating heart.
He held her life in his hand, and with a brutal squeeze, he ended it.
The woman let out one last scream before falling silent, her lips parted as blood spilled over them, dripping onto Aizen’s wrist. A cruel smile crept onto his face. While beauty held some allure, nothing tempted him more than strength.
Without hesitation, he crushed her heart as if it were a soft fruit, blood spurting from her chest wound, staining the ground. Channeling his inner energy through his fingers, he felt the blood sink into his nails, causing a tingling in his bones as if they were strengthening.
The woman’s eyes dimmed, her face frozen in a grotesque expression of pain and terror, her pupils dilating in her last, fearful moments.
Aizen withdrew his bloodied hand, faint streaks of crimson lingering on his fingers. His previous wounds were already healed, and his fingers felt stronger, tougher than before.
This was the initiation technique of the Demonic Clan’s Heaven-Destroying Demon Claw. The initial stage required fresh heart blood from a young girl to be absorbed into the fingers, combined with inner energy to refine the blood. This not only strengthened the claw technique but also accelerated the bone-tempering process, helping the practitioner advance in cultivation quickly.
This merciless, shortcut-based technique was a hallmark of the Demonic Clan and was loathed by righteous Sorcery artists.
But Aizen didn’t care about labels of good or evil. As long as a technique made him stronger, he would use it without hesitation, unconcerned with ethics or consequences.
The process didn’t matter to him; only the outcome.
And in this case, the outcome was that he lived, satisfied and unscathed, while his enemies died in terror.
