Transmigration To Magus World-Chapter 98: The Perfect Sharpening Stone
The cold night wind over the lake carried a biting chill and a strong scent of blood.
All eyes were fixed on Aizen, filled with anger, coldness, and trepidation.
The Man who has no name began to approach, his body moving with subtle rhythm. Each step was steady and powerful, like a dragon or tiger in motion, demonstrating a firm foundation rooted in the "Dragon-Tiger Stance."
The old steward glanced at Aizen with a sharp look, his expression briefly flickering with a warning. Then, turning toward the Man who has no name, he smiled.
"Young master, it is better to focus on stabilizing your friend’s injuries for now. Let us avoid unnecessary conflict. After all, this is the city lord’s residence. If there are grievances, they should be handled by the city lord himself," he said.
"Step aside," replied the Man who has no name, frowning slightly.
He appeared to be a refined nobleman, even carrying a decorative sword. However, when he frowned in anger, an imposing and aristocratic aura surrounded him, hinting at a privileged upbringing.
Such noble bearing could only come from a family with generations of legacy, likely one ennobled by the imperial court.
"Young master... this matter..." the steward hesitated. While he sensed the Man who has no name was no ordinary figure, his patience was wearing thin, and he felt growing resentment toward Aizen for causing the incident.
This was, after all, the city lord’s domain, and the steward had been tasked by Morning Star Magus to host the group. If the matter escalated, he would undoubtedly face punishment.
"I told you to step aside! He must kneel and apologize today!" the Man who has no name demanded, his gaze sharp as a blade aimed at Aizen.
"I will not allow you to act rashly. This matter must be resolved by the city lord. Your friend initiated the provocation and was injured as a result—it’s his own fault!" the steward said firmly, his face darkening.
Even though the Man who has no name came from an influential background, this was still the city lord’s residence. Backed by Morning star Magus, the steward was unafraid of the young nobleman’s threats.
Aizen, meanwhile, let a smile slowly form at the corner of his mouth. He had expected things to unfold this way.
Even if the situation turned out differently, he found himself intrigued by the Man who has no name , who might be a martial artist ranked on the "People’s List." Judging by his energy, however, Aizen estimated the young man’s strength to be lower than Ryven’s, likely ranked low or not at all.
Ryven was formidable, but his terrifying display had been the result of extensive preparation, using rare weapons and poisons. Against such an opponent, even someone ranked in the top 50 might struggle.
In terms of raw strength, Aizen felt that with his recent breakthrough to the Blood Refinement Stage and mastery of bone refinement, he had the ability to survive against someone like Ryven, though he might not win. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
The enhancements from absorbing the Pool of Primordial Flame Essence at the Treisenberg treasure vault further solidified Aizen’s foundation. His internal energy had been refined, his vitality strengthened, and several key Triggers acupoints—Spring Point, Big Toe Point, and Foot Surge Point—opened.
While opening these acupoints had not yet enabled him to unblock his meridians fully, the progress significantly boosted his abilities.
For example:
Opening hand acupoints enhanced his striking speed and strength.Opening foot acupoints improved his agility and balance, making his movements more stable and fluid.
With his recent rapid gains in strength, Aizen needed an opponent to test and refine his abilities.
The Man who with no Name seemed to be the perfect sharpening stone—not as strong as Riven, but considerably more powerful than opponents like Martin and Alester. Facing such a foe would provide the pressure necessary for Aizen to adapt and perfect his newfound strength.
For now, however, the steward’s intervention made a fight unlikely.
The Man with No name’s face grew dark with frustration. Though confident in his abilities, he recognized the steward’s strength. A half-step innate martial artist, the steward exuded the aura of a dormant lion, with subtle energy vibrations indicating that he had opened 80 to 90 acupoints.
Even with his noble status, the The man who has no Name knew he was no match for the steward in combat.
"Brother , let it go for now. The city lord will give us justice," one of the officials said, attempting to defuse the situation.
"Exactly. Let’s tend to Brother Jin’s injuries first. That ruthless demon won’t escape Treisenberg city," another chimed in.
Reluctantly, the group began treating the tall-crowned youth, stemming his bleeding and bandaging his wounds.
The steward seized the opportunity to diffuse the tension further. "Rest assured, young master. Once I report this matter to the city lord, he will undoubtedly deliver a fair judgment."
He then turned sharply toward Aizen, his gaze cold. "You’ve injured someone. Until the city lord decides, you are not permitted to leave the residence. Follow us to meet the city lord."
Aizen sheathed his blade calmly and nodded, unbothered by the order.
While Morning Star magus might lean toward the officials, Aizen believed the city lord would not risk offending the Heavenly Demon Clan. As a disciple selected to benefit from the treasure vault, Aizen represented an important faction within the Clan. Harming him would amount to insulting the sect itself.
Even so, Aizen anticipated some form of punishment and a challenge from the Man with No name to avenge the tall-crowned youth.
As the group entered the study where Morning Star Magus awaited, the city lord listened intently. His piercing gaze flicked toward Aizen, assessing him.
Unsurprisingly, the Man with no Name seized the opportunity to issue a formal challenge.
"City lord, though Brother struck first, this man acted with excessive brutality. I, Marques, must seek justice for my brother!"
The other officials joined in, their voices filled with righteous indignation, their gazes on Aizen as cold and unyielding as iron
