Trapped In A Marriage I Never Wanted-Chapter 83: Special Nickname
Still not satisfied with their beach fun, Victoria and Matthias played tag along the shore, splashing each other with water until they were soaked. They laughed happily, not wanting to lose the water fight.
"You are really very naughty, Matthias!"
"Weren’t you the one who started attacking me earlier?" Matthias continued to splash water on his wife’s face swiftly.
"If you keep acting like this, should I call you Matty?"
Matthias suddenly stopped in his tracks. Hearing his wife finally utter that nickname made his eyes well up with tears. That sweet nickname was one she had specifically coined two years ago. Now that she was calling him again, was there any doubt she was starting to remember everything?
"Matty, what are you doing?" Victoria waved her right hand in front of her husband’s face.
Matthias’s smile widened as he lifted his wife up again happily. "Since you call me Matty, I’ll call you something new, Tory."
Now it was Victoria’s turn to feel the familiarity of the nickname. Suddenly, a flash of memory flashed through her mind. She could see Matthias openly calling her Tory, bringing tears of joy to her eyes.
Just a flash of memory crossed her mind, and she immediately tightened her embrace around her husband. "I really like that nickname, even though it sounds like a man’s name."
"Really? Wouldn’t you be really annoyed to hear that nickname?"
"I really like it. I’m not lying to you. You were the first person to coin that nickname for me, so of course I won’t be upset. Even now, none of my friends or my ex-fiancé ever call me by that special nickname."
Matthias smiled warmly as he gently stroked his wife’s head. "I want us to go home now. You’ll catch a cold if you’re drenched like this."
Victoria was delighted, enjoying a daylong date with her husband. While waiting for him to finish showering, she looked at all the photos Tyson had secretly taken during their date and during the photoshoot. While she used to be extremely reluctant to look at his annoyingly beautiful photos, now she was addicted to his handsome, sweet face. Unconsciously, her right hand reached for her phone screen, specifically his photo.
"Matthias..."
While dating Ansel, Victoria always posted photos of herself and Ansel. Now, without hesitation, she chose a photo of her and her husband as her phone wallpaper. Because of what she said on the beach, she meant it. While it sounded like a hint, it was a sign that she wanted this marriage.
Hearing her husband’s footsteps coming out of the bathroom, Victoria immediately put on a straight face and leaned back on the bed. She pretended to act normal again, though her heart was in overdrive, eager to spend time with her husband.
Matthias’s face lit up with a smile as he saw his wife waiting for him after her first shower. Even though they had always slept in separate rooms, she was still unaccustomed to this kind of atmosphere.
"Are you nervous now?" Matthias teased, putting the towel on the hanger and sitting next to his wife.
Victoria’s reaction was a stiff blink. "I’m not nervous. I’ve always wanted to sleep with you from now on."
"By the way, have you seen all the photos we took earlier?"
Victoria nodded as she took her phone which accidentally showed her wallpaper was now decorated with their photo.
Matthias’s eyes widened. He immediately grabbed his wife’s phone and flashed a mischievous smile. "You move faster than me, I guess. I didn’t expect you to choose our photo as your phone wallpaper."
"That’s because I like my appearance, which is very beautiful."
"Isn’t it because you really like taking photos with me?"
Victoria swallowed nervously as she clutched the blanket tightly. "Let’s just say I like taking photos with you because you’re so handsome. Every woman in the world would want a photo with you, too. But out of all of them, I’m the luckiest one, able to take a photo with you without much effort."
Hearing his wife’s thousand ridiculous excuses, Matthias burst out laughing, his face turning red. "Is it normal for you to have our photo as your phone wallpaper if you don’t like me yet? Didn’t you ever act like this when you were dating Ansel?"
"Back when I was dating him, of course I put our photo as my phone wallpaper."
"Meanwhile, now you put our photo as your cellphone wallpaper even though you always thought of me as a contract husband."
"Because I just like our photos. Why don’t you understand what I mean?"
Matthias put his arm around his wife’s shoulder affectionately as he looked through the photos they’d taken together throughout the day. "Actually, I like all the photos of us. I want to set one of these as my phone wallpaper."
"Then, I want to help you choose for you."
"If you choose it, it will definitely be the best."
Victoria nimbly swiped through her husband’s phone screen, then pointed to a photo of them embracing on a yacht. "You can use this photo as your phone wallpaper."
"If it’s your choice, I’ll definitely like it." His lips landed on his wife’s forehead. "Thank you, my wife."
"By the way, why did you call me Tory at the beach? I felt familiar with that nickname."
"Why do you feel so familiar? Do you remember everything? I never called you that during our contractual marriage."

Meanwhile, Ansel and Amber ran into each other at a bar. Ansel was disgusted every time Amber suddenly wanted to see him, even if it meant ruining their already sweet relationship. Furthermore, seeing Amber’s furious expression, Ansel began to suspect her.
"What do you really want to tell me? If you want me to destroy Matthias and Victoria’s relationship, I won’t do it!"
"Do you know what your ex-fiancé is doing now?"
"Isn’t she on a business trip out of town?"
Amber laughed slyly, patting Ansel’s arm. "You really are an idiot, Ansel. You still don’t know your ex-fiancée is on her date with Matthias!"
"What?"
