Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 612 - 287: Origins of Oneself/Desperate Rescue
"This is the current situation. We must find a way to pull Alka out of this immense grief; otherwise, he’ll be trapped in it forever, never to return," Chadite stated, looking at everyone. All the people on the ship stood on deck, listening as she shared the overall situation.
"How can we pull him out now?" Jason asked. "Considering the current situation, he must have encountered a problem within the Dream Realm. The problem is, we can’t freely enter and exit our own dreams as Alka can, let alone enter his Dream Realm."
"Do you remember? I once touched the Dream Catcher and obtained a Spell, [Deep Sleep]," Julia said. "Later, Alka and I researched it. The Spell’s effect seems to be a weakened version of how the Dream Catcher forcibly pulls someone into the Dream Realm. Could we use this Spell to achieve something?" Julia asked, uncertain. The researchers on board might have a better understanding of these matters.
Everyone fell silent, contemplating. Alka’s situation was dire, and they knew very little; they couldn’t even enter his Dream Realm.
"I have researched the Dream World. Let me think... give me a little time," Simon said, repeatedly clutching his head. As a Mechanic, his curiosity about the Dream World’s existence was insatiable, compelling him to research it. Alka had willingly shared his research on the Dream World with Simon. In fact, Alka had awakened him from the Dream Realm several times. Everyone on board had similar experiences. This was especially true for Chadite and Lucilia, who often found themselves awakening within dreams. When Alka first mastered the Dream Catcher, they, along with Alka, had continuously experimented with various conditions and abilities within the Dream Realm. With increasing frequency of these awakenings, both had nearly mastered how to consciously fall asleep or wake up within the Dream Realm.
After a brief discussion, Chadite spoke for herself and Lucilia, "We both can awaken within the Dream Realm, but the issue is we can’t exit our own Dream Bubbles, let alone enter Alka’s Dream Bubble."
"Think... contract, contract... Palace..." Simon muttered. Frowning in thought, he looked up at the others. "I have an idea," he said, "but I’m not sure it will succeed. Through the contract in the Palace, our Dream Realms should manifest near Alka’s Dream Realm. We know Nyx is almost certainly inside Alka’s Dream Bubble. I’ve seen her in the Dream Realm before, freely entering and exiting Alka’s Dream Bubble. And Nyx exists thanks to Lucilia’s Treasure; they share a close connection."
As Simon spoke, he raised his forefinger and continuously retrieved various materials from his Pocket Ring. These included many dream-related materials obtained from Alka, typically used for research. After all, materials capable of harming souls were rare and valuable.
Simon began smelting and manufacturing on the spot. With the aid of his Treasure-enhanced finger and the Hand of Precision providing dual support, he quickly crafted two intricate constructs. One was a light pink orb, encircled by a quietly spinning and floating metal ring.
"Take these two items," Simon instructed. "They can accompany you into the dream world. They’re crafted from pure dream materials and infused with Alka’s pink mist. I’ve enhanced the pink mist. Through Lucilia’s link, it will strengthen your connection to Alka, increasing your chances of entering his Dream Bubble. Now, it’s up to you to succeed." Simon finished speaking, placing one item into Chadite’s hand and the other into Lucilia’s.
They were the only two who could awaken freely within dreams and had entered Alka’s Dream Realm more often than anyone else. Combined with their existing connections, they were the best candidates for this attempt to enter the Dream Realm.
However, this was merely conjecture—a hypothesis that they could enter Alka’s Dream Bubble by combining this item with the link between Lucilia’s soul and Nyx. Everyone knew the actual odds were not very high. Alka was now a Divine Descendant and one of the Dream Kings. His Dream Bubble had long been extraordinarily resilient and difficult to penetrate. But the situation was urgent. There was no time for verification; they had to proceed with this potential solution and adapt as events unfolded.
"This isn’t secure enough," Matilda, who had also studied Alka’s Dream Bubble, remarked, feeling it was too risky. She then looked at Julia, and the two exchanged a few quick words.
Afterward, Julia addressed Chadite and Lucilia. "Lucilia is essentially a soul. Didn’t she often reside within Alka’s body before? They still maintain a soul connection. We’ve researched this connection. Matilda and I will perform a ritual to create a simple link between your souls. This way, Chadite, you can also share in the enhanced ability to enter Alka’s Dream Realm through Lucilia’s existing link."
Chadite and Lucilia exchanged a glance and nodded simultaneously, agreeing to the proposal without hesitation. There was no more time for deliberation.
