Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 640 - 296: 100 Days and Nights_2
"Hello, Captain!"
"Captain!"
The voices of the Puppet Girls rose around them.
Alka nodded repeatedly. "Good, good, you're all good. Thank you for your hard work." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Alka seemed a bit helpless; after all, the persona intellect of these Puppet Girls was awakening. As Lucilia's power grew stronger, the persona intellects of these Puppet Girls were also awakening under her influence. Nowadays, their personalities were somewhat like those of the former second-class people, each with its own uniqueness. The only difference was that they all, more or less, carried a bit of Lucilia's shadow. And in her childhood, although Lucilia wasn't as mischievous as Chadite, she wasn't far off. It's just that during her childhood, Lucilia's leg condition had repressed this aspect of her personality. Now, these Puppet Girls were helping Lucilia perfectly release that repressed childhood vivacity.
Lively, active, carefree, always laughing and chatting—that was the current portrayal of these Puppet Girls.
Fortunately, they weren't mischievous and didn't play pranks; at least half the time, they remained relatively quiet.
Thank goodness for that, Alka thought.
"I'm going ashore first. I'll leave the ship to you, Ling. Keep an eye on them."
Upon hearing Alka's instructions, Ling, standing at the ship's edge, lifted her skirt slightly and bowed gracefully.
She looks so elegant and polite, Alka observed.
"Rest assured, Captain. Leave it to me," Ling replied.
Alka nodded. Ling, having possessed her own persona intellect long ago, had now matured and developed a complete personality.
As soon as he reached the shore, he saw the large ship at the harbor preparing to leave. Looking at the camp being tidied up at the port, Alka saw Nova, a young man with dark green hair, directing the work. Nova was one of the six members of the Tarutass Clan from back then. He was also one of the only two members who had remained on the island.
"Nova? Are you preparing to leave?" Alka called out.
Hearing Alka's voice from behind, the young man named Nova turned his head, smiled, and walked over. He gave Alka a brief hug.
"It's you, Alka! I haven't seen you for several days. Have you met the instructor's requirements?"
"Yes, I'm waiting for my companions now."
Upon hearing this, envy was obvious in Nova's eyes. "How nice. Your team has so few people, yet everyone's talent is such that the instructors are willing to guide them."
Hearing this, Alka just smiled without explaining. He couldn't just say that everyone on their ship had formal qualifications, could he?
In the eyes of others, having an instructor was a sign of exceptional innate talent. Among the six who had come together, only Nova and one other clan member had managed to gain the recognition of two instructors, who were willing to guide them in the Tower of Trial. Even their leader, the Fourth Stage member Maru, hadn't been chosen. Hence, only one of their ships remained here, waiting for these two. The others had already left Trial Island with the other two ships.
"We are preparing to leave," Nova said. "My brother and I have met the instructor's requirements."
Hearing this, Alka glanced at him and smiled. "And you say you're envious of us? Your talent is even more enviable."
"Haha, you're exaggerating," Nova chuckled.
"By the way, you wanted the Guiding Banner for reaching the Great Cathedral on Landmark Island, right? I don't have that one with me. Take this one instead," Nova said, handing Alka a Guiding Banner.
Alka looked at the flag in his hand. It was wheat yellow, bearing the emblems of both the Holy Mother Church and the Holy Machine Church.
Two church emblems on one flag? How could a flag have symbols of two churches? Perhaps in the Endless Sea, these two churches have already joined forces? Alka couldn't help but wonder.
Nova explained, "This is the Guiding Banner to our clan's base, Gemini Island. Gemini Island is a vast island, and though it's divided in two, it's still considered a whole. The island is occupied by the Holy Mother Church and the Holy Machine Church respectively, which is why the flag is like this. Right Son Island is where the Holy Mother Church is located; it also houses one of their larger cathedrals. So, if you need to, you can head there first."
Upon hearing Nova's explanation, Alka nodded and accepted the flag. "Thanks, I owe you one."
"Oh no, it's just a Guiding Banner. It's not that serious," Nova replied. "We're all children of the Holy Mother; helping each other is only right."
Hearing this, Alka didn't say much more, merely crossing his arms. "May the Holy Mother bless you with a safe journey."
"May the Holy Mother protect you," Nova responded.
The two bade each other farewell.
Alka walked through the ruins and arrived at the foot of the Tower of Trial. At this time, he only saw Julia and Chadite there.
"Why is it just the two of you? Where are the others?" Alka asked as he approached.
Chadite glanced at the woods behind them. "They're either clearing out Inner Elemental Bodies or fishing. Anyway, they're not here." She added, "By the way, Juanlu has already met the requirements. Now it's probably just Matilda left."
Alka hadn't been to the foot of the Tower of Trial for several weeks, so he wasn't sure of everyone's progress. Previously, Juanlu, Matilda, and Jason were the three who hadn't yet met the instructor's requirements.
