Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 641 - 296: 100 Days and Nights_3
When the two individuals who had already mastered their Treasures met the instructor again, the standards imposed were even stricter. It seemed the instructor held Jason to particularly high expectations, simply because he was the Warrior of the Crystal Dragon.
Now, only Matilda was left, so it wouldn't be long.
Just as expected, before Alka could respond, a blue light flashed from the Teleportation Array beside him, and Matilda appeared on it.
Judging by Matilda's condition, she seemed to be in a much better state. Her demeanor was no longer as delicately weak as before. She appeared far stronger and more poised.
"How are you doing, Matilda?" Chadite asked as he approached her.
"No problems now," Matilda nodded, her voice tinged with excitement.
"Looks like we also need to start preparing to leave," Alka mused.
"Congratulations to all of you," a Triangular Figure floated over, addressing them. "I look forward to your next attempt at the full-group challenge."
"Of course. You won't have to wait long," Alka said with a smile.
Soon after, the others returned as well.
Alka noticed that Pororo had several bleeding wounds on his body.
"What happened?"
Given their current strength, could they still get injured by brawling with elemental creatures?
"I just caught a big one down by the sea," Pororo explained. "It was decently strong and managed to scratch me."
So, they'd gone fishing in the sea.
Powerful sea fish and Sea Beasts were not uncommon in the Endless Sea; they were encountered from time to time.
Matilda glided over. A few fine needles, with water flowing around them, materialized and floated beside her. Under her control, they pierced the wounds. Water swiftly flowed into the injuries, and they began to heal at a rate visible to the naked eye.
This Treasure was called the Plague Healing Needle. It was a Holy Grail Level Treasure, similar to the Divine Essence Juanlu had acquired; both were obtained after completing a challenge. However, learning from their previous experience, this time they had made extensive and careful preparations before attempting to forge an item to house the Divine Essence. It had to match the capabilities of the Divine Essence and align with Matilda's methods and concepts. Finally, they had crafted this set of fine needles, sixteen in total.
As its name suggested, this Treasure was not merely for healing; it could also swiftly infect enemies with virulent plagues. The ability this Treasure bestowed allowed Matilda to freely create and control both toxins and medicines. Combined with Matilda's existing medical knowledge and compatible Spells, it was exceptionally practical.
"Alright, everyone," Alka announced. "Our journey on this Island concludes today. It's time to prepare for departure."
No one was surprised by Alka's words. This had been decided long ago; they were merely waiting for Madeleina to meet the instructor's standards. It wasn't that they absolutely had to meet the instructor's requirements to leave; rather, meeting those requirements was the expected display of strength for their current stage. Besides, with the instructor still offering guidance, there had been no need to rush.
Now that everyone had met the instructor's requirements, they only needed to wait until they had fully mastered their respective Treasures. When they returned later for the challenge mode, they would likely obtain a Treasure suited to their then-current level. This was evident from the Treasures Juanlu and Matilda had obtained. The challenge mode was something they absolutely had to attempt again, but only when they were 100% confident of success. Otherwise, the loss would be significant.
The group returned to the Sound of Dawn.
"To the Tower of Trial, cheers!"
"To a better tomorrow, cheers!"
They shouted various toasts, drinking the beer in their hands. Before them, a large spread of roasted meats sizzled over an open fire.
Their time on Trial Island had not only increased their strength but also perfectly honed their abilities. Each of them had undergone systematic training, gaining a much deeper understanding of combat. They no longer attacked haphazardly, as they once had. Moreover, they had each learned some very practical skills from the instructor—skills that had existed even before the Divine War.
Having completed the trial, it was only right to celebrate properly.
The Puppet Girls were also darting about.
"Two, don't run around! Why are you sneaking a drink!" Vice Captain Ling reprimanded, like an elder scolding a child.
Alka quickly scooped up Xuan, who was trying to sneak away, and deftly plucked the small cup from her hand.
"What's in here?" he asked, looking at the orange-yellow liquid in the small cup, which gave off a faint smell of alcohol.
"Uh... it's... Lucilia's drink. I'm just getting it for her," Xuan said, her smile stiff.
Hearing this, Alka turned his head to look at Lucilia, who was already slumped over the table, mumbling incoherently, completely drunk.
He turned back to look at Xuan.
"Heh-heh..."
He flicked her forehead sharply with his finger before placing her back on the ground. "Don't let me catch you sneaking drinks again, or you'll face the consequences."
"Yes, Dad!" Xuan chirped obediently.
Then, as soon as Alka turned his back, she made a face at him.
"BLEH!"
She darted to a corner and, who knows from where, produced another cup, which she began to sip with relish.
"YUCK! So bitter! This is awful!"
Amidst the joyful laughter and chatter, Chadite, sitting beside Alka, asked him, "Where do we plan to go next? Just sail randomly?"
Hearing this, Alka took out the flag they had obtained that day. "Let's make this flag our goal for now. If we happen upon other Islands along the way, we can check them out too. There's no rush this time."
Chadite was also puzzled why the flag bore the symbols of two Churches. After Alka's explanation, the others nodded in understanding.
"Islands like that actually exist?"
"I didn't expect we'd be meeting colleagues from the Endless Sea Church so soon," Simon remarked, looking rather pleased.
"Let's set off first thing in the morning."
