Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 658 - 302 Regional Information Revealed_2
"That's a region where large ships can't navigate at all. Just beneath the sea surface, tangled plants intertwine like a dense web.
"Small boats carrying too many people sometimes struggle to glide smoothly. In most places, people can even walk on the plants.
"But those tangled plants have holes in some places. A careless step could lead to falling into an endless abyss. The surrounding plants will entangle you, making it impossible to climb back up."
Hearing this description, Jason nodded. He probably understood, though he still couldn't quite imagine it.
Alka sat in a corner of the Great Cathedral Library, quietly flipping through the book in her hands. She read:
""It is a vast sea region completely occupied by greenery. From afar, a green line can be seen on the horizon. While sailing past, it often feels as if one is navigating along the edge of a prairie."
This was an extremely heavy book; lying flat, it was as large as Alka's chest. Inside, various detailed illustrations vividly described for Alka what this region, known as the Sea of Moisture, was truly like. The *Sea of Moisture Travelogue*, as it was titled, had been written by a joint team from the Holy Mother Church and the Holy Machine Church after their survey. The travelogue continued:
""This sea region is estimated to be roughly three times the size of Gemini Island and its surrounding island chain.
"This exploration team divided it into three regions, naming them based on their characteristic features.
"First is the largest part of the entire region. This part contains the largest safe zone—an island typical of the ocean.
"The island has significant chaos, with many natives worshiping a being named the 'Jade God.'
"This is an unrecorded life, perhaps just a powerful creature.
"Its main body has not been found, but traces of its power have been discovered.
"It is suspected to be a mighty offspring of a Divine, or a being about to undergo Ascension to Divinity.
"This island hosts a very unique natural spectacle—a gigantic ancient tree, almost larger than the entire island itself.
"Its branches and leaves form a canopy that shelters the whole island underneath.
"Thus, this region was named by us—Giant Spirit Perch.
"The other two regions are equal in size, though separated on either side.
"Combined, they form the other half of the Sea of Moisture.
"One side features a chaotic mix of spirits, Evil Spirits, and undead, interwoven with vibrant plant life, creating the most extreme chaos.
"Here, death and life intermingle, forming the most wicked area and monsters.
"All life here is abnormally chaotic and distorted; we dared not venture deep, only daring to peek from the fringes.
"A deep-seated threat pressed upon us; the stronger one's power, the more perceptible this threat became.
"It is a pressure stemming from biological instinct.
"For safety reasons, with the Bishop's approval, we abandoned deep exploration of it.
"Many members of the Holy Machine Church attempted to venture deeper, despite the great risk to their lives.
"This action reduced the number of Holy Machine Church members in the exploration team by half.
"It made us deeply realize just how boundless the Holy Machine Church's curiosity was.
"The other region is much better; it is also the best landing spot.
"It boasts the densest concentration of islands in the entire Sea of Moisture. Although these islands are smaller, they are interconnected by underwater vines, effectively forming a large island with a unique ecosystem.
"Here, verdant greenery flourishes, a veritable paradise for all plant growth.
"Unfortunately, we do not possess sufficient strength to incorporate this region into the Domain of the Holy Mother's Grace.
"This is because a fixed faith has long been established here; we suspect it to be a site where a Divine may soon revive.
"The Holy Mother also gave us revelations here, allowing us to operate freely but instructing us not to take any hostile actions towards this place without cause."
Alka carefully looked through the records for some relatively important information.
"Little girl, judging by your appearance, you must be quite strong. But I still have to warn you, don't harbor too much curiosity for that region; it would be detrimental to you all."
In a shop, a hunched old lady earnestly warned Chadite, explaining how dangerous this region was.
At the Holy Machine Church's Great Library, there was almost an entire wall devoted to various research about the Sea of Moisture.
Faced with such a vast and peculiar region, members of the naturally curious Holy Machine Church and various scholars practically explored every nook and cranny they could. They paid a tragic price for doing so, but the results they obtained were fairly pleasing.
Simon, like a sponge, was frantically absorbing from this ocean of knowledge, soaking up all available information regarding the Sea of Moisture.
"Friend, are you interested in the Sea of Moisture too?" inquired a woman dressed in unique mechanical attire, a smudge of oil on her face. She had been watching Simon for a long time as he pored over materials in this section.
Simon glanced up at the person speaking to him, then lowered his head to continue reading.
He nonchalantly replied, "Yeah."
"Are you interested in joining us? We are preparing to form an exploration team to venture into the Sea of Moisture."
Simon, fully absorbed in the recorded knowledge, nonchalantly waved his hand.
"Sorry, I already have a team."
"Alright." The woman was not disappointed, nodded, and walked away.
