"Or even upgrade them directly to materials unknown to him, allowing them to unleash greater power and exhibit more potent effects."

Simon spoke directly about the essence of his Treasure.

Truth be told, Alka hadn't really looked into it.

"What about the degree of similarity in the imitation..."

"Close to 100%, but it will never reach 100%. There will always be some differences, as it's merely an imitation, after all."

Alka nodded in understanding at Simon's explanation.

"Want to try?"

"Let's try."

With that, the two of them immediately squeezed back down through the opening they had made earlier. Pororo followed closely behind. The others remained above, standing guard and waiting.

Soon, the three of them arrived at the door of the Treasure Vault. They had tried before; regular iron keys couldn't even be inserted into the keyhole. There were two possibilities. The first was that one needed to unlock it layer by layer before the key could finally be inserted. The second was that it required the correct key to be inserted through the hole.

"I'll try the first lock and see if it works," Alka said, gently placing his hand on the outermost groove. A large amount of Holy Light began to gather from his hand, pouring into the groove. The Holy Light flowed along the groove, quickly connecting its entire length. The light imprinted itself onto the surface, and then dense golden stripes began to spread out from the groove in all directions. Even after Alka released his hand, the light remained. However, the spreading light stripes stopped at the second circular ring.

"Hmm, it seems the requirement for concentrated Holy Light isn't very high." This indicated they already fulfilled the conditions for the first lock.

"Now it's my turn," Simon said as he walked forward with his mass of condensed liquid. Then, his Treasure's index finger touched the keyhole, gently sensing the entire lock's position. He had scanned it before; this was just to be safe. Then, the liquid metal in his hand began to solidify. It transformed into a peculiar key with various strange protrusions at its front, looking more like some sort of mechanism than an actual key. Looking at the key in his hand, Simon nodded in satisfaction. He repeated the earlier process, transforming the key to mimic the material of a specialized steel alloy. He gently pushed it into the keyhole. This time, it slid in exceptionally smoothly, meeting no resistance. The entire key was inserted completely into the keyhole. Then, pale silver-gray Energy spread out from the keyhole, its patterns spreading just like the golden stripes had.

"'It works. We can do this,' Simon said with a smile."

The three of them watched the stripes spread upward, but unfortunately, these also stopped at the second ring. They effectively already possessed the 'keys' for the first and third locks; now they only lacked the key for the second lock, the most difficult one to obtain.

According to the Treasure Information, one needed to possess the Power of Life and Death, which stemmed from the Nafasi Clan's unique constitution. Alka would either have to figure out how to simulate it or find living members of the Nafasi Clan. It wasn't that they didn't exist. As long as Alka was willing to put in some time and effort, he was sure to find them, provided his luck wasn't too bad.

From the information he had previously gathered about the Nafasi Clan from the archives, he recalled that when Church members had been investigating the reasons for the Nafasi Clan's extermination, they had deliberately sought out many prominent members who had been cast out from the clan's main lineage. Many of these clan members even still possessed the blood of the main lineage, technically belonging to it. They had only left due to differing philosophies and ways of doing things. Moreover, only a few decades had passed since the Nafasi Clan's extermination. The members from that time might not even have died yet, let alone their children. Alka was confident he could find information about them in the Church's archives.

Thinking this, Alka nodded and led the other two back up. They quickly returned to the ship and informed the others of what had happened below.

"'So, you're saying that to open the Treasure Vault now, we only need to deal with the final lock, and you already have a lead on it?' Chadite asked."

Alka nodded.

"'Exactly. But we definitely can't get it now. We'll have to return to Gemini Island to find some information.'"

Hearing this, Lucilia frowned. "'That's too much of a detour! You know we spent over a hundred days and nights just to find the Sea of Moisture.'" If they left now, the round trip could waste an entire year.

Alka nodded and said, "So, I've decided not to return for this reason alone. We'll head directly to the shore, return to the Dawn Sound, and go to this location."

With that, Alka opened the map and pointed to an area on the other side of the Land of Spirits, near the edge.

"There must be something more valuable there, or you wouldn't be going."

Alka smiled and nodded. "'The aroma of Treasure here is almost enough to knock me out!'"

Listening to Alka's joke, the group smiled and nodded, having no objections. If there was one thing they had learned on the ship, it was not to question any destination Alka chose. Even if he didn't tell them what was there, they just needed to go and search. They would inevitably find something, a reward countless times greater than the effort of the journey itself. This time was no exception. Moreover, they could gauge an item's value from Alka's description of its 'aroma.' Judging by Alka's playful description, it was basically certain that whatever they found would be a Treasure, at the very least. This was undeniable. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Although all of them already possessed Treasures, having one Treasure versus two was a world of difference. Even if this new Treasure didn't suit any of them, it could be sold or used in trade to achieve various other goals. No person or faction ever considered having too many Treasures. Treasures were the ultimate hard currency in this world, supreme items recognized and valued everywhere.
