The headmaster was a higher being that had created the entire island space with his own magic and investments.

It was only a small mass of this world, a small land present in the ocean a long, long time ago when he found it, and overtook it.

It did not belong to anyone back then, but after that time, it was property of the academy and the headmaster of this world himself.

{ "Unit 2 reporting, we have cleared the area 32B." }

He had made the place into something that could sustain itself even without his presence and the personal system that controlled the rest of the academy also looked after this particular training space.

The testing island of the academy was one of the oldest places that had existed after the academy came to be.

It had served as the testing area for not only this batch but also hundreds of other batches that were fortunate enough to get this place as their test area.

There were no energy beasts on this island, the entire ecosystem was maintained artificially, the environment itself was also controlled by the system and aside from the occasional natural phenomenons, there were no other factors that affected this region.

Just like the great academy, this place was also isolated from the outside world, but its existence was still known to a few of this world since the students had previously been to this place.

There was data available on this place so since their backers had money, they had concrete information about this place as well so, they had planned things out thoroughly.

For months they had planned for this one attack.

They organised, they practised, they ran simulations, and they did many things to take this place for themselves... however, even their perfect ambush was interrupted by a sudden burst of strange messages.

Many of their units were suddenly facing some kind of trouble.

The higher units knew that they were being ambushed at the moment but, the way this was happening was so sudden that even those in the higher positions did not understand how it was happening.

Their connections with the attacked units were cut off in a matter of moments, some of them didn’t even get to finish what they were going to say.

It was like whatever was attacking them was first cutting off their communication or was killing them in an instant so that they don’t even get a chance to fight back... which was less likely to be the case.

They were demonic humans with superior magic and strength and they possessed skills great enough to at least defend themselves against a powerful enemy.

There was no way someone here was strong enough to kill multiple of them in one strike, if anything, they must have noticed them somehow and cut off their communication network.

That was the best possibility they could think of at the moment, that was the only logical answer to this question...

They already had some data on the students that were attending the academy this time around and though this data was very limited, they still possessed enough of it to know who they had to look out for.

"The twin! The master...! It was true...!"

They knew there were rumors about a new sword master appearing in the academy, and they also knew about the special twins that stood as undisputed top stars of this batch.

They knew how the two of them were top of everything and anything they took part in and how there was practically no one that could defeat them in anything.

They knew about them and they knew about the individuals that the two of them hung out with.

They knew about how there was a girl that they were close with and they were going to use her to deal with them, that much was at least their plan since they did not want to take any risks.

It was said that one was a swordmaster and the other was on the verge of becoming a spellmaster. There was another swordsman that was on par with the swordmaster and there were a few other individuals that were remarkably good.

But, aside from the two top students, no one was going to be anything remarkable.

They were children and however strong they might be, they weren’t strong enough to go against a demonic human that was contracted with a demonic noble.

"They told us to look out for the ones in black hoods and masks... they should have just told us there would be demon bastards attacking this place."

The demonic human knew a lot about this island and the students that were going to give the practical tests today.

They had prepared extensively for this, however, at the end, they underestimated the individuals that were present throughout this island.

Ras’ high level had increased significantly in last few months thanks to the good advice the two of them gave him, Lux had sturdily gotten stronger over time and thanks to the connections the two of them had, and the opportunity they gave her by bringing her to that shrine of the past, she was stronger than before, and possessed good weapons.

And then there was Nes. Someone that can kill a demonic human contracted with a (Baron) level demon as if it was nothing at all with her special spatial chains and newly developed Null magic... a power even those special demon contractors did not understand.

She didn’t kill them just because El had told them to kill the individuals in black robes and strange masks like the ones these units were wearing.

Instead, she judged them to be bad people with her unique skill and she could sense that darkness from them that was completely different from a pure kind of darkness.

They were bad people with many impurities. She judged it wasn’t even possible to help them overcome the darkness since they enjoyed what they were... so, she had no choice but to free them from this world and this miserable life.

"It was already surprising that we ran into each other, but to think we would run into demon contractors as well... unique turn of fate, hun?"

Somehow, after they finished their written exams and wandering in the woods they found themselves in, they encountered one another and at the same time were given a ’test’ by the system.

However, while they were trying to figure out the test they had received, they spotted some suspicious looking people that matched the features that El had mentioned right before they were transported here a while ago.

"Well, thankfully, they are only this strong."

They were fighting the enemies together right now and though the opponents were strong enough, with the strategies they had learned during their time in the Shrine of Chiragya, they knew how to defeat an opponent that was several times stronger than them.

The enemy enemies they were facing were only two and they were two as well.

They had prior experience of fighting strong opponents individually and they had always had this special synergy with one another.

They were fighting the two strong opponents with most of the strengths they had, were using skills and artifacts that they certainly weren’t going to use in their exams, and they were focused on the battle, unlike their usual bored selves.

They were strong enough to defeat the ones they were facing right now at the very least and since Cathy was here, the demonic humans who mainly rely on their demonic energy weren’t going to do much to the two of them.

And, the same could be said for Lily’s side.

She had already killed three of them and two had barely managed to run away from her.

She was a strong force that not many demonic humans could face without proper preparation because of her unique powers that had started awakening recently.

And, as the one who managed to clear a special trial in that shrine, she now possessed the perfect artifact for her skill... so, she one sidedly eradicated the weakest bunch among these intruders.

And though the rest of them did not face these people yet, there were hundreds of them present on this island at the moment.
