Chapter 343: 343 Blue test

[El’s POV: ]

This time, the place that we ended up in was also a place that we knew very well... too well actually.

[{ "The great forest this time." }]

[{ "Forest means creatures, creatures mean fighting, and fighting is what you want right now, no?" }]

[{ "Why are you telling me something I already know?" }]

There were trees all around me and from the angle of the sun, the shadows of the trees, these specific flowers and these plant types meant I was in the western end of the forest.

[{ "Well, I’m just reminding you that you’re angry right now. Better not lose that anger since... you really screwed up~." }]

[{ "Fucking bastard!" }]

He was mocking me now, fuck!

"Bastard!"

Damn bastard!

[{ "I’m not going to forget this one! Remember that!" }]

[{ "Of course I’ll remember how you got pounded by that dumb version of mine~. Hahaha!" }]

It was rare but this bastard enjoyed mocking me for my failures more than anything else in this world.

Especially when I do something silly like this! He repeated it over and over until I engrave that mistake on my very soul!

’Fuck I want to slap myself for doing that.’

But my pretty skin will get red if I do that so fuck that...

[{ "By the way, I’m on the eastern end. And it looks like we will have to get to the centre of the forest, around the lake area if I’m right." }]

[{ "And how do you know that?!" }]

Fucking bastard! Acting like he knows everything like there’s a system window before him telling what the objective of this test is.

Fucking bastard.

We didn’t have anything like that back when we started the first test either and there’s no way they would give out the objective of the test just like that.

’We would first have to observe things, fill out some certain conditions, explore things, and then if the things around here and there fall into places, only then should the real object should be revealed.’

That’s how the things worked, in my opinion.

And that was the only logical way to do it anyway.

There was nothing that could explain how that bastard knew about the objective of the test and how he was so fucking sure about this thing.

That fucking dumb bastrd might be smart but he was nothing compared to me.

He was a fucking bastard that desired nothing! Not even the tie that he got against that cheap ass copy of mine!

"Fuck!"

This was just too frustrating!

That test! That fucking test we had! How the hell could I have done that!?

It was just a fucking dumb doppelgänger impersoting my darling, it was just a creature that practically knew nothing about us.

It was sloppy with the techniques that it was using and there was nothing that he was capable of even though he was supposed to be a perfect copy of my bastard.

’Even my copy that he was fighting did justice to my character.’

She started with the heavy spells and since she had limited Mana, she used all that she can in that short time before she had to shift to the other method— that runes.

She defeated Lucy fair and square, I had no problem with that... she was my Copy so it was obviously supposed to be the perfect thing, but the one that I was fighting was nothing even close to perfect!

[{ "El, calm down and look up. Don’t act like you are blind..." }]

[{ "Why the fuck should I look up?! I already know there’s nothing up there! Do you think I’m blind?!" }]

[{ "Dummy... climb a tree or something. Look at the forest from the upper side." }]

[{ "The fuck is that supposed to mean?!" }]

[{ "Just climb a damn tree." }]

He was definitely thinking that I was a dumb person... and I am a dumb person!!!

’I was too angry about how that fucking thing was using all the skills that it was using in the worst possible way, how it was not even properly using his techniques, and how he was even using the physical techniques that we had developed when we used to sleep in that room on the top floor...’

It was eternally frustrating looking at something that you had seen for the longest being done wrongly by things that didn’t even have to put as much effect into learning it as someone that created it had to.

’I got angry and even though I controlled myself throughout the battle, I still made many mistakes thanks to that dumb anger of mine.’

I missed opportunities, I didn’t catch the obvious openings, that fucking dumbass started with a passing approach against me for the love of nature!!

’That fight should have been a surefire victory ever since that creates underestimated me after evaluating only my visible strengths!’

There were a good lot of things that I could have done in that fight, a lot of things and openings that I could have exploited... I could have practically toyed around with that thing!

But my emotions got the best of me...

-Shrrr. Shrrrr...

"The hell?"

[{ "What the hell is that?" }]

[{ "Our test objective, perhaps?" }]

There were only a few trees that were tall enough that we could see the rest of the forest from the top of them.

But thankfully, I had one present right around me and since we didn’t have any restrictions in this round, I just used the floating spell and flew up to the top and... when I reached the top area from where the sky was visible, in a distance around the centre of the forest, there was something that should not be there.

[{ "How can you be sure that we have to go to that place... it surely looks dangerous to me." }]

[{ "Of course it does, and no I have no idea if we have to go there or not but that is the most attractive and weird thing that should be present here.

It doesn’t belong to any of the rulers of the forest and even if it does, we should be able to take down a ruler on our own, right?" }]

[{ "No we shouldn’t! And fuck that! Tell me if you’re already running towards that thing!" }]

[{ "Of course I am... the one that gets there first gets a wish." }]

[{ "You damn bastard!" }]

I didn’t need to hear anything more so I just jumped down the tree, wrapped myself around a few support spells and skills, and took off towards the centre area...

I had to get there first even if I had to use blink and short distance teleportation multiple times!

’There must be dangerous things all around this palace and my Mana senses were already picking up some disturbance in the distance...’

-Swiiiiiiiiiish...

There must be enemies littered all around this forest just like normal and there should also be countless creatures here that we still couldn’t deal with.

This was a great forest filled with things that were not only dangerous, there were a good number of those things that were strong independently And lived in colonies.

’I don’t even want the thing ahead of me to be a [Grrrat Green Beetle] colony... it will take hours just to deal with those nasty things.’

Though, from the looks of the signals I was picking up, it didn’t seem to be a group.

’It was one opponent.’

One enemy that was dumb enough to block my path when I was in my complete form... it was a bug that was asking to be smashed!

He was getting ahead of me with each passing minute.

I don’t know if he will have enemies to face as well or not but he was the lucky one among us.

In a realistic setting like this one, there should be a number of factors into play here that decide what the test giver would have to face.

The headmaster had created it and just like those dumb doppelgängers, he must have created this place with his excellent skills so there’s no way Luck wasn’t a factor in play here.

’He might have even gotten lucky during the last test... or not, I don’t know.’

His stats were restricted but even the headmaster shouldn’t be able to restrict the special Luck stat.

It must be in play here as well so he might reach there before me and then, not only I’ll have to give him a wish after losing to a mere clone of his, I’ll even lose a skill in a fair race like this one.

’It was absurd.’

I had no intention of giving him anything at all.

That’s why... I didn’t ignore the creature and reached the open area where I was sensing him.

It didn’t have much Mana according to what I could sense so this should be an easy fight... it should have been an easy fight... logically, it had to be an easy fight.

But, no.

[{ "El... I think we should call off the bet this time." }]

[{ "Lucy... there’s [Silberblade Mentite] before me." }]

A <S> rank rare species that doesn’t exist in this forest... hell this creature doesn’t even exist in this part of the Worldline!

[{ "What the hell...? There’s [Yellow headed Trihorn] before me." }]

[{ "What the fuck?" }]

The creature before him was also a <S> rank exotic species that was rare even in the higher parts of the Worldline.

[{ "That fucking bastard..." }]

[{ "Good luck to us, El." }]

So, ultimately, we will have to face creatures that not only weren’t part of this forest, they weren’t even part of this world.

’They weren’t easy creatures to deal with either.’

They were rare for a reason and since we knew a good lot about them, we know just how dangerous they really are.

’And there are going to be more than one of them...’

It was now understandable why he would have given us our complete strengths for these tests.

’And it was even more understandable that there was a pillar of light shooting up in the sky from the centre of this forest.’

It really was the end goal of this test.

"Fuck..."

I hate that bastard headmaster.

He’s the true piece of absolute shit.
