Twin Reincarnation: Epics Of The Worldline-Chapter 345 Arising problems
[OP: ]
There weren’t many ways that they could have used to clear all the creatures present in the forest around them and they knew very well the test was designed to make them fight the strong creatures of <AA> rank and above individually.
They only had to fight the creatures that came in their paths. And most of the time, these creatures were a single unit.
There were times when the opponents were a large group but they were creatures that worked together and were of a lower level and class compared to the single opponents that they were facing.
They were strong but not strong enough to deal with the two of them when they were at full power, had their weapons, and in addition to all that, possessed their Storage spaces.
They were forces that one could only fear as there was nothing that they could do against them.
They were strong and they knew the weaknesses of these creatures so, even though they took all the time they needed and hunted these creatures day and night, they won the battles and passed through the areas containing the creatures.
They wanted to finish it as soon as they could and the only way to do that was to deal with them faster than what they were doing at the moment. However, the creatures weren’t allowed to leave the certain areas that they were assigned to, so hoarding the creatures and using big skills was out of the question.
It was a waste of energy and resources to deal with the creatures that wouldn’t even let them pass through them with the skill that the headmaster had added in them, so they were only left with dealing with these creatures.
-Swiiiiiiiiiiish...
They fought the creatures as efficiently as possible, ran without a break, tried avoiding as many fights as they could and in the places where combat was inevitable, they used all their knowledge about the opponents to deal as great a blow as they could.
And with this ineffective but the fastest kind of method, they were able to reach the last junction leading to the centre of the forest, the lake where the light was coming from.
[ "Where are you?" ]
[ "On the other side, perhaps. There’s still one last battle left before we see the very last opponent or thing, or whatever is present back there." ]
[ "Right." ]
They had won the battles and they had reached the destination. Now the only thing left between them and the centre where both of them could meet again was the one last opponent.
{ "Klink! Klink! Klink! I’ve been waiting ptssssss~." }
There was a single new creature blocking their path now.
[ "Sunborn Naga." ]
[ "Moonborn one here... which means they are twins." ]
She was facing a humanoid creature that had a snake-like head and the body of a human that was covered in white-god scales.
And similar to her opponent, the creature her darling Lucy was standing before a creature that possessed almost the same physical features except its black scale covered body.
[ "Twins? Really? What colour is their eyes?" ]
[ "Green. Tell me the ones your one has is green as well." ]
[ "It is... the hell?" ]
She was curious how there was a pair of high intelligence beasts before her that not only were a rare <SS> rank species, they were also creatures that were only found on three certain planets.
There were not many of them in this world so their population was limited already, but since the fact that they were strong creature that possessed unique abilities that were unique not only to their kind, but to every individual of their species, they were one of the most unique creatures of the Worldline.
And, two creatures like them were standing right before them right now.
"Looks like you know who were are."
{ "We? Haha, as expected. You already know about us!" }
There were rare cases of creatures like these two so they knew about them well.
"It would be wrong of us to not know the pinnacle of element holders after knowing a all the other creature that we fight until now, right?"
They knew the two of the creature that were standing before them... creatures that were connected with one another just like the two of them through a unique bond, knew well what was happening with another counterpart.
They were like the Sun and Moon, on one side, and if they wanted to gauge the level of difficulty they were going to face while fighting these creatures, they could confidently tell it would be more than facing a genuine dragon.
"Well, let’s get started without useless talk then."
She looked in the green eyes of the Naga before her while Lucy also did the same on his end with the black scaled creature.
{ "Brother wants me to do the same... then please excuse us." }
They were powerful creatures and the two of them did not need to see their starts windows to know just how powerful and dangerous the two of them were.
She knew just how much Mana the one before her possessed even though it had many restrictions on it like the rest of the creatures that they had faced until now, and Lucy could tell how difficult it was going to be facing a creature that had already passed the level of a Grandmaster.
"So... you wield a greatsword."
{ "Ptssssss... and you are a honourable master of blades." }
"Swords..." Lucy corrected him, and smiled back at the curious look his opponent’s head.
"I prefer them double edged."
He was a swordmaster and swords were a kind of blade that were pretty different from the general blades that some people mistakenly thought to be blades.
It was a common mistake that a grandmaster wouldn’t make. And he knew that better than anyone else.
That’s why knew he the creature before him was mocking him when he called his weapon a blade instead of a sword.
{ "This is going to be fun." }
One was a tall creature that possessed not only the blood of dragons, but also blood of the angles, divine, demons, celestials, outlanders, as well as were a unique lineage that had helped the original Supernovas, the first borns of the Worldline, ever since the dawn of the Worldline.
{ "I greet the Master of swords and request for a honorary duel." }
"I accept the ’request’ of the Grandmaster of the great Sword."
He mocked him first so by the traditions of the Nagas before him, he couldn’t possibly not give his opponent the taste of his medicine.
{ "I greet the Master of the Power of origin, and request for a honorary duel." }
"I accept. Though... it’s pretty unfair that a Magus would be fighting a normal magic user like myself."
The opponent that’s she was going to face right now was much more difficult than what was facing since the difference between a Magus and an Irregular mage was much wider than the difference between a Master and a Grandmaster.
Both beings were in their own power class and possessed powers that were unique to their own domain of strengths.
One fighting the other was one thing if the objective was to teach the other person, but if we were talking about a formal duel of Nagas, they were the fights to deaths that only stopped when the other person had died or relinquished all their rights to their identity.
{ "We weren’t, ptsss... the one that decided on this. Fate is what we call this. And fate is what you are facing." }
"Says a fake recreation."
They got into their positions.
-Swish.
And in the blink of an eye, they also vanished from their positions.
-Boooooooooooooooooooom...!
And the very next moment, the entire forest was shaking with shockwaves so strong that trees that were around the area where the first class occurred had completely been unearthed...
-Ooooooooooooooooooong!
But then the wave of magical powers and destructive Aura swept through the entire area they were in, creating a crater so deep that it seemed like an object had fallen down there from hundreds of thousands of feet above.
It was a grand clash between a mage that possessed the best powers in this world at her complete power capacity. While on the other side, the Youngest swordmaster was facing a grandmaster wielding a greatsword twice its own height... which made the sword itself almost three times larger than Lucy.
-Booooooooooooom!
On one side, the clash of spells so profound that it seemed like the creature that she was facing right now knew the foundations of magic better than even her.
Not only was it strong, it was using spells of the same kind as she did— spells that were weaved so profoundly that no other being in this Worldline could recreate them as well as the original creator of these spells.
-Oooooooooooooooong!
It was a magus, a being that had understood the truth about magic and had transcended the realm of mortal understanding in the aspect of magic.
So, even with all the restrictions it had right now, it was strong enough to produce strong spells that could counter all the spells she was throwing at him And at the same time, counterattack with his own powerful spells that she was having a hard time blocking.
-Boooooooooooooom!
Lucy was in a similar position... or perhaps he was a little better for now as the opponent he was facing was only testing him, seeing his strengths and flaws, finding his weaknesses and evaluating his talents.
He was doing only that much... and still the wreckage that it caused was as bad as what the other side had made during their true face off.
-Boooooooooooooom!
Clearing the rest of the creatures during the last few days had proved to be hell to them. And they were not expecting beings of this level when they reached this last junction...
But now that they are facing these beings...
-Booooooooooooom!
They were worried if they would even make it past them or not.
