Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1215: Love Can’t Be Hidden
With the recommendations from the waiter, both of them were eager to try, adhering to the principles of thrift, and ordered four dishes.
"Is that enough?" Ian Shelby asked, since it was his first time inviting her for a meal, he didn’t want to be too neglectful.
Jocelyn Morgan nodded, "Of course."
This restaurant not only had fresh ingredients but also had quick service.
A window seat on the second floor.
Jocelyn Morgan and Ian Shelby sat across from each other at the table, the waiter poured tea for him and her, "Please enjoy your meal."
"Jocelyn, you’re especially beautiful tonight."
Jocelyn Morgan met his gaze, feeling that what happened this afternoon was like a dream.
Just a few words in, her phone rang.
"Sorry, I need to take a call." She noticed the call was from Jasmine, and answered without avoiding, "Hello, Aunt, what’s up?"
"Jocelyn, when will you be back home?" Jasmine asked her.
"I’m already back, having dinner with a friend outside, will be back after dinner, what’s up?"
"That’s good, let’s talk when you get back, you go ahead." With that, Jasmine proactively hung up the phone.
Ian Shelby asked her, "Are you in a hurry to go home?"
"Not really." She smiled, putting down her phone, "Aunt was just asking when I would be back, since I’ve been traveling around lately, it’s normal for a girl to have some concern."
Ian Shelby nodded in agreement, "Yes, no matter where you are, you should pay attention to safety."
The dishes came out one after another.
Their conversation was relaxed and enjoyable, not awkward at all.
Ian Shelby constantly wore a gentle smile, and his eyes were almost always on her, filled with love in those deep and beautiful eyes.
You can tell someone likes you by looking at their eyes; love cannot be hidden.
For Jocelyn Morgan, she was also full of delight, being face to face with him made her feel joyful.
He was like a ray of light, shining on her.
She was very interested in the medical field, aiming to gain material for her writing, she would talk to him about topics he’s familiar with.
And Ian Shelby was also interested in the writing profession, saying he used to read novels, some of which were written so well that they were irresistible.
So they had plenty to talk about.
"It’s truly admirable how your little mind can contain so many plots." Ian Shelby spoke from the heart.
And Jocelyn Morgan always said, "I just like writing and have always persisted."
This dedication to her dream is already admirable.
They continued eating and chatting, spending two hours in total, until Jasmine’s call came again.
The ringtone sounded once more, she picked up her phone, "I need to take another call."
Ian Shelby nodded.
"Hello, Aunt." She didn’t stand up.
"Have you finished eating? Where are you?" Jasmine seemed to have something urgent to say to her in person.
Jocelyn Morgan felt a bit embarrassed and softly replied, "Didn’t I say I’m having dinner? What is it? You can tell me."
"Still eating? Does it take that long to eat a meal? Who are you with?" Jasmine sensed something was off and became vigilant immediately.
"I’ll definitely be back tonight." Jocelyn Morgan smiled to cover the awkwardness, "We’ll talk when I get home! Bye-bye!" With that, she hung up the phone.
Ian Shelby did not ask, nor did he urge her to go home, because he felt today’s experience was quite wonderful.
Being with her made every second particularly happy; he hadn’t felt this happy in a long time.
After the meal.
Ian Shelby suggested, "Would you like to take a walk? Stroll around."
"Hmm, sure." Girls are supposed to be reserved, but she didn’t refuse, because she liked Ian Shelby.
They had already kissed; isn’t that considered dating?
