" It’s the National Collegiate Athletic Association , well, kind of a board for all student players, and you were under them, but they let you go easily because you don’t have any records under them," Henry said while putting down the paper on the table.

" AH, it’s alright, I am not playing for free anyway." Lukas said, then grabbed the papers, there were thousands upon thousands of clauses in them.

Lukas looked back at George and smiled awkwardly because he doesn’t understand shit about paperwork and such official language.

"We have checked everything for you with our 13-lawyer team, and let me tell you, it really is a deal of a lifetime," George said with a smile on his face.

" Alright , I will trust you on this because if I go down, you go down with me, hehe," Lukas chuckled.

" Obviously, now then tomorrow is the day fixed for your press contract signing. It means just a show for your contract signing, but the real deal is this: give me your bank account number," Henry said, then took Lukas’s bank account number.

Henry gestured to Lukas to start signing, as he has to sign in twenty-plus places.

" Lukas? What are you doing"? Ashmika came with Anya in tow, and seeing the coach and a very formal guy beside him, they were kind of taken aback.

" Ashmika and Anya, Please wait a bit. I have to fill in a contract then we can talk," Lukas said in an apologetic tone.

Ashmika and Anya just sat beside Lukas’s table and saw him sign after sign. Henry came back after talking on his phone.

Lukas, after doing the last sign, gave the papers to George, who looked extremely happy. He stood up and once again gave his hand towards Lukas to shake his hand.

Lukas didn’t mind, he also accepted the hand with a smile and a nod. As he was doing that, a message popped up on his phone.

Lukas’s mind went numb as soon as he saw that reward, he was thinking about maybe a hundred million dollars or maybe just maybe a billion dollars, but this thing gave him shit.

Lukas was enraged, but he sighed and thought about dealing with it later on.

"Lukas, call your bank to check on your account, the money has been transferred. And what’s wrong with you? Why are you making such a face?" Henry asked, he saw Lukas was almost crying as if someone had died.

"Nothing, I just got a message from them, I got the money," Lukas said , showing his bank message.

Lukas’s phone rang, he got a call from an unknown number, he received it, and his mood turned sour hearing what they said.

"Sir, your account has been deposited with $15,000,000. I just called you to confirm you got the message. This technology is new to the bank, and $5,430,824.40 in taxes was deducted from it. Your total balance now is $10,548,675.6."

Lukas confirming his payment ended the call, he was now smiling because he had less money than he anticipated.

" You need to pay taxes as well," George said while taking the signed document inside a file.

"Well, they already took it," Lukas said with a deep sigh.

" You need maybe another filing. I will do that with our accountants, so don’t worry about it," George said with a smile. He didn’t ask for any payment right away.

" How does it feel to have multimillion dollars in your bank account? Congratulations! Trim your hair and be ready at 3 in the afternoon tomorrow," Henry said with a smile and a hug from behind, and then he left.

Ashmika and Anya were shocked to see the whole incident firsthand, they were so shocked that their mouths almost dropped on the floor.

Lukas just sat there with his sad face as everything seemed to betray him today.

Lukas sighed deeply once again and then gestured for the girls to come closer.

Ashmika and Anya did what he said, they sat on the table he was on. Seeing his sad face, they were very confused.

" Alright, I am in with your plan, Ashmika and Anya. How much would you need right now to get a small office and everything set up there?" Lukas asked, he was not out of money, but he was in a lot of pain.

" Now? Well, let’s say about $150,000, with our salaries, of course," Ashmika said. She was still confused why this was getting paid just by signing some documents.

" W...why did they pay you?" Anya asked, she used all her courage to ask that question.

" Well, do you know who paid me?" Lukas asked, as it was very clear they knew nothing, so telling them first would be somewhat bragging, and he would love to lift his mood anyhow.

" Who paid you? and why? "Anya asked, she was never this curious about anything, and that’s why she is just watching her friend with a shocked expression.

" It’s a team called the Philadelphia Phillies, they paid me," Lukas said with a smile. His intentions were just to brag, but Anya was not seeing it, she was just seeing the smile.

" Snap out of it." Ashmika tapped on Anya’s shoulder, but she was mesmerized by this storyteller and his smile.

" Are you a player on the Phillies now?" Ashmika asked, she too was shocked a little.

" Yes, I am a new addiction, maybe you will see me tomorrow in the news," Lukas said with a cheeky smile, but Anya’s heart was almost out of control.

In her imagination she was seeing a cool baseball player running on the field while she was running with a sandwich behind him.

" I am also hungry," Anya said when her daydream broke and she came back to her dead straight face.
