Chapter 92: The Game. (3/3)

Lukas came to the parking lot. He looked at Jay and Roy, who were talking happily with each other. He frowned a little because he was missing his little brother now.

I have so much money, maybe I should buy that kid a laptop and a car. This Saturday I will visit home and help out however I can.

Lukas, thinking of this, smiled and remembered how his little brother worked on three jobs just to bail him out and give him an iPhone each year after that and a comfortable life.

He became too mature last time because I was immature, this time it’s upon me to create beautiful memories for him to enjoy.

Lukas, shaking his head, went ahead and smiled at the brothers. He then said, "Take me to the hotel. Where is the coach?"

"He took your stuff to the field, your room is booked at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, so it’s kind of the same," Roy said with a smile, and Jay just nodded his head.

"Alright, take me there, and I will come to warm up with the team later," Lukas said, as the time was only 3 PM in the afternoon.

The Four Seasons hotel here in Chicago was vastly different from Philadelphia, it was in a tall building called the 900 North Michigan Building, and the hotel was on the 30th to 46th floors of it.

The car went through the VIP lane only to be stopped by the security there. They looked at the expensive Mercedes and frowned with doubt.

Lukas rolled down the window and showed his face, the security instantly jolted awake and let them pass with a marine salute.

As the VIP lane was mostly vacant, nobody saw Lukas, and he entered through the VIP elevator and sat on the 46th floor.

Then Jay took a $5000 check from him to go downstairs to pay for the room for him, as tomorrow is also a game, so he plans to stay here for two or three day’s.

"You got the presidential suite this time." Jay came with a big smile and a huge key in his hand. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com

"Alright, you got your room?" Lukas asked while taking the key, he was just seated in front of the presidential suite.

"Yep, one double bedroom. Call us when you need anything," Jay said and then left with the elevator.

Lukas entered the room and was amazed at how big it was, the whole thing was different than his hotel in Philadelphia.

This room was big, and he could hardly say it was a room because it was so big it was more like an apartment.

So, money gives you this, huh? Look at that.

Lukas, while standing In front of the glass looked outside. There are people sleeping beside the road, which reminded him of his past life. After he had taken a mortgage on his brother’s house and failed to pay it back, he made so many poor decisions in his past life that he still gets shivers in his spine.

After taking a bit of rest, it was time to go back in the field, so he called Jay and asked him to bring the car.

He just drank a bit of water before going downstairs. The car looked implacable, as if someone had just washed it.

"You washed the car?" Luka asked, and Jay and Roy were standing still.

"No, we took it to a nearby car wash. I hope you don’t mind, it took $25 just for the exterior washing. The place is called River North Hand Car Wash." Jay said he even showed Lukas a receipt.

"Don’t worry about it, I will hire you guys, so we’ll talk about your payments after this match." Lukas, saying this, winked at the duo and sat inside the car.

The car was smelling nice, and this car was a little different from the one he uses in Philadelphia, but he can’t put a finger on what the difference is.

Lukas reached the stadium at 3.50 PM in the afternoon. Seeing people have already gathered around the stadium wearing Phillies jerseys, he smiled.

As soon as he entered the field, he saw Henry waiting for him, and seeing him, he came running.

"Go change into the training gear and warm up with the team, the coaches are on the ground," Henry said, then took Lukas to the changing room himself.

Lukas, after changing his clothes and wearing a cap, came to the field and saw Terry was clapping at the players who were training, maybe fielding.

"Go warm up, then do some pitching drills," Terry said. He was the field manager and also was looking out for the players.

Lukas, nodding his head, ran around the away team’s training ground and saw a coach training Jimmy in the bullpen.

After he ran around ten minutes, Terry gestured to him to do different exercises to ease his muscles.

Lukas nodding his head did that, then Coach Galen waved at him and gave him a ball to throw.

"Practice here, don’t overdo it. Rest is also important, just do twenty pitches and go take a shower and eat something," Galen said. He was although sick, but he had to come today as today was their pitching prodigy’s debut, and as a pitching coach, he has to do whatever he can.

Lukas nodding his head just did four seams, the pitching felt as natural as breathing for him.

"WHAT THE FUCK!!!" Galen screamed, his sickness was nowhere to be seen when he saw Lukas pitching.

"Coach, is there something wrong with my pitching?" Luaks asked very innocently, he ignored Galen’s shocked expression.

"N... nothing, just don’t use your leg like that, hang it in front of you and swing it with your waist in a singular motion, and you’ll feel great." Galen said he was very shocked but realized what a great talent Lukas was.

Lukas did the swinging motion with his leg and felt his whole body connected with his hand.

"Nice," Lukas said. He felt his arm was more flexible with this new technique he acquired, he was more than ready for this upcoming game.
