Chapter 634: Chapter 431: Ghost Princess, Undead vs Undead!

"There are so many of them."

Guna felt a chill pierce straight to her heart. She gestured the all-clear to those behind her, then walked over to carefully examine the unfortunate dead.

Like Fang Zhou and his expedition team, the races of these dead were varied and bizarre. They were predominantly natural creatures, but many Swamp Natives were mixed in as well.

It was clear that these people weren’t ordinary civilians but well-trained and well-equipped elite warriors. Some of the well-equipped natural creatures still bore emblems representing Moonlight Spring.

"Merciful will of nature, have mercy..."

Having just arrived from the rear, Miliou the Flower Elf cried out in a mournful voice upon seeing the tragic scene. He then closed his eyes to pray. The other natural creatures all joined their allies in prayer, their solemn chants echoing all around. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"This emblem is the mark of the party from our Queen’s Tribe that previously went to crusade against the Undead Tomb," Kai explained, his expression grim. He then moved closer to the dead, trying to recognize their faces. It was like a group sculpture of victims, frozen in death.

"Let’s keep moving," Liu Diewu suggested after a moment of silence. "We’ll find a way to give these warriors’ bodies a proper burial on our way back."

"Alright!" Miliou slammed a fist into his palm, his voice full of resolve. "The Undead Demons in the tomb won’t be expecting us so soon. Let’s catch them off guard!"

Fang Zhou, however, shook his head. "I’m afraid the Undead Demons here already know we’ve arrived. Remember that thunderous voice we heard before those undead Mud Spring Banshees attacked?"

Miliou fell silent. Everyone else quietly made their final preparations.

Less than two kilometers from the frozen warriors, a tomb built of gray megaliths stood upon a low, rocky hill. According to the intelligence provided by Queen Bilodis, this Undead Tomb was not an underground structure but a tall, multi-storied tower that rose high above the surface. The tomb had been abandoned for years by the long-extinct Naraku Civilization, and its accessible upper floors were ruined by the ravages of time.

However, a massive, black-blue block of ice now sealed the entire upper half of the tomb. Its immense weight was even causing the whole tower to tilt to one side.

Lanky skeletons bustled around the tomb, seemingly engaged in some massive project. From a great distance, the faint sound of clinking and clanging reached their ears.

"Skeletons," Kai’s voice was strained. "Just as we thought, this place has been overrun by Undead Demons."

"Prepare to attack, everyone," Fang Zhou whispered.

"Not bad at all. So many bones... Let our Wolf Howl Tribe handle them," the werewolf leader replied, practically drooling.

"Alright, the Wolf Howl Tribe will take care of the skeletons," Fang Zhou commanded, raising the Undead Magic Ball high in his hand. "Everyone else, pay attention! We’re not to get entangled with any enemies. Charge straight into the tomb!"

"Forward! May the will of nature protect us!"

The united chant of the natural creatures shook the earth, yet an even louder sound erupted from the Heroic Spirit Battle Banner that Fang Zhou raised. It sounded like countless war horns blended together—a clear, piercing call to arms that made one’s blood boil with fervor.

Immediately, an azure light spread outward with Fang Zhou at its center. All the human cadets from Sea City Military Academy were engulfed by it, feeling an indescribable courage surge within their chests. They let out a collective, pent-up roar and charged with unstoppable momentum toward the abandoned tomb!

The air exploded with battle cries, like the furious roar of Nature’s Will itself.

The skeletons around the tomb seemed stunned for a moment before they finally reacted, turning to meet the charge. Perhaps because they were not warriors, their hands held no swords. Instead, they wielded awls and chisels made of bone. The lanky, gray-white figures staggered forward, ghastly green phosphorescence burning in their hollow eye sockets. A faint clattering arose as their bones knocked against each other.

But what met them were Skeleton Warriors of their own kind.

However, the skeleton servants summoned by Fang Zhou were a different matter. Empowered by his specialties, talents, skills, and equipment, they were visibly stronger in both size and power, despite also being of the Black Iron Lower rank.

Furthermore, unlike the disorganized skeleton laborers, whose ranks ranged from Apprentice to Black Iron, Fang Zhou’s Skeleton Warriors were armed with swords and bows. They were commanded by Elite Officers created through his Undead Coronation skill, allowing them to march and charge with superior discipline.

First, two volleys of Arrow Rain poured down, inflicting massive damage on the scattered skeletons. Then, the other melee skeletons, mixed with zombies, formed a mighty flood of death and crashed directly into the skeleton laborers.

The pale, withered bones of the laborers were crushed under the charge of the armed skeletons. Greatswords and giant axes, imbued with Death Energy, slashed left and right, breaking countless skulls and wrist bones in their wake. The Combat Professionals in the Natural Expedition Team also joined the slaughter under the cover of their allied Undead Creatures.

The Swamp Natives, led by the Mud Spring Banshee Guna, also fought with great ferocity.

Guna’s cackling laughter hadn’t ceased since the battle began.
