Chapter 752 - Side Story 10: The Orphanage (2) + Mini theater

(Special mention for web novel [without space between the two words] reader aistitch, who work under web novel [without space between the two words] reader Deelah)

"YAYYY!"

Seeing the children were happy, Deelah nodded in satisfaction. Behind her, Sister Aina peeked her head and grinned. "Also, since there are a lot of guests today, they will all sing a song once we have finished our lunch."

The children's eyes landed on the young men and women who came. They could only smile bitterly and nodded. Well, it was just singing. No harm would happen if they sang.

"I'll play the piano to accompany you," Lyna suggested.

"That'll be a good idea."

"Now, who wants to hear a story before we begin to eat?" Lyna asked again because she noticed that the food was not ready yet. She needed to buy some time for Deelah and Sister Aina to finish cooking.

"Me! Me!"

"I want a story of Fiore Group!"

"Ah, that story again?"

"YES!"

A young man named Ronoa shoved Lucas' ribs. "Your brother's group is very popular."

"Everyone is talking about Fiore Group lately," Lucas replied with a smile. "It's not that weird to say that they're famous."

"Of course, I have already heard a lot about their endeavor," another young man chirped in. "But I could never expect that the leader is bad at cooking."

The others: "…" everyone has their own weakness.

That was all they could think in their mind to console their hearts. Kanae and Kevin visited the orphanage a few times in the past, so they knew them. When they found out that both were really bad at cooking, they didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

However, it was needless to say that they idolized them very much.

"Ah, if I'm not wrong, they should be coming here too, right?" Lucas remarked.

"Did your brother say anything?"

Lucas smiled but didn't reply. Tommy did say that Kanae and Kevin would make the time to come here later at night. However, at that time, most children might be already sleeping since the younger ones would have problems to stay awake when it was so late.

However, let it be a surprise for the older ones.

"Oh right, since you're Tommy's younger brother, how about introducing him to us?"

"Yes, yes. I want to know more about him too."

"Agree!"

In the end, Lucas had no other choice but to agree to their request.

In the kitchen, Sister Aina had just finished putting the braised meat on the plate when she heard the cheers from the children. She arched her eyebrows. "Are they having another story telling session again?"

Deelah laughed and skillfully turned the braised meat on the wok. They were cooking by parts since they had to prepare a large portion. "What else can possibly make them so happy? These children love stories about Fiore Group and Ryukalin Clan the most."

"Most of the stories are a bit exaggerated," Sister Aina said with amus.e.m.e.nt.

"Even if it's exaggerated, it gives the effect that they wanted. Besides, who can say that their lives' stories are not interesting?" Deelah asked. She put on the braised meat on the plate and smiled brightly. "They're amazing children. I only hope that they can learn cooking."

"You can teach them when they come here tonight."

"Please, I'm incapable of handling their innate ability to turn perfectly well food to have awful taste."

Sister Aina laughed and helped Deelah to prepare the food. She glanced out of the door and saw the children laughing happily. This was only the small portion of the city that had changed ever since Ryukalin Clan, Wells Family, Nali Family, Fiore Group, and many other small organizations began to unite and try to improve the city.

It was not easy.

There were many obstacles.

But seeing the smile of these children, Sister Aina knew that it was one of their goals. These children would have a much better future in a much better shaped city. Unlike the previous state when the city was still very dangerous and unsafe, this version was clearly much better.

She hoped that things would continue to progress this way.

So that the children, a.d.u.l.ts, and everyone living in this city could have a chance for a better and happier life.

"Sister Aina, is the food ready?"

"I can smell it from here."

"You brats are so impatient," Sister Aina said with a laugh. "Don't worry, we have made enough for all of you."

"YAY!"

(End of Side Story 10)

P.S: This is also the last side story that I make. I want to thank Piku1309, Helpful2468, nicacob, aistitch, kawaiishieli9, and Deelah for their lovely suggestions for all of the side stories.

There are many other suggestions given to me, but I can't write all of them. I can only pick some of them. >.<

.

P.S 2:

There was one request from Helpful2468 for the characters to torture the author…

I don't want to be tortured. (That's obvious) But since I have gained a lot of 'rioters' thanks to this novel…. I decided to make a mini theater:

Kevin: Ah, is this already the time for me to make an appearance? I have been itching to give you a lesson for making me wait very long to know her real identity.

Author: Ah, that's….

Kanae: *cracked her fist* you're right, I have been wanting to ask so many questions to you, Author.

Author: *backed away* Uh, can I leave now?

Kevin: How about if you start answering, Author. We have a lot of questions to ask. Don't worry, I have a lot of free time before I have to return back to the story and finish the work as Ryukalin Clan head.

Author: (I should have made you have much more work)

Kevin: Did you say anything?

Author: I still have to make the epilogue, so… BYE!

Kanae: You can't leave now!

In the end, it was impossible for the ordinary author to beat the two experienced fighters. The 'questioning' session turned pretty long.

.

P.S 3: Just like what I said in the mini theater, there will be 3 epilogues that I'll make. It'll be continuing the real timeline in the far future.

The release rate will still be a bit erratic, but I'll try to finish it as soon as possible.

.

P.S 4:

Reader: Why are there so many P.S, Author?

Author: This is the last one. I want to thank everyone who read up until this far. :D

I wish you enjoyed the journey so far and have a good day, Lovelies! <3
