Chapter 332: Chapter 332: Going Out for Sketching

Looking at Pomelo’s innocent and pure little face, Seraphina Sinclair felt a softness in her heart: "It’s nothing, I was just thinking, with such nice weather, shouldn’t we go out for a walk?"

Pomelo obediently nodded, but then sighed with regret: "But it’s already five in the afternoon. If we go out now, it’ll soon be dark, and it’s dangerous outside when it’s dark. Let’s go out next time, okay?"

"Silly girl." Seraphina could see that Pomelo was genuinely thinking of her. How could such an adorable little girl possibly be Eric Holt’s person?

"The school has assigned a sketching assignment." Listening to their conversation, Jude Sinclair suddenly appeared out of nowhere and joined in.

"A sketching assignment? Is there anything specific to draw?" Seraphina asked.

Jude shook his head: "You can draw whatever you like."

Pomelo’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Seraphina: "Aunt Seraphina, let’s go to the zoo!"

"To the zoo, huh? What do you think, Jude?" Of course, they could go to the zoo, but Seraphina first sought Jude’s opinion.

Since it was his sketching assignment, naturally, he should decide what he wanted to draw.

Pomelo eagerly gazed at Jude, her clear big eyes filled with longing for the zoo: "Brother, can we go to the zoo? Pomelo wants to see the big tigers!"

Jude was very fond of this sister, always meeting her requests.

He affectionately ruffled Pomelo’s hair, his tone incredibly gentle: "Sure, wherever you say we’ll go."

Back then, even though Jude was a gentle little boy in front of Seraphina, he was usually quiet and a bit aloof. Now facing Pomelo, he couldn’t maintain any of that cold demeanor.

However, Seraphina couldn’t decide for them to go out.

She was a bit embarrassed and looked at the two children: "Whether I can go out or not, I have to ask your brother Camille White. If I can’t go, how about Aunt Rosalie Quinn takes you?"

Pomelo pouted pitifully: "Although I like Aunt Rosalie Quinn very much, I want to go out with Aunt Seraphina even more."

"Alright, I’ll try my best." Seraphina smiled slightly.

Finally, Camille agreed for Seraphina to take the two children out. However, upon learning of Seraphina’s outing, Desmond Fairchild strongly opposed it.

Seraphina frowned: "What do you mean by this? It’s a rare parent-child time on the weekend, yet you shirk your responsibility as a father and won’t let me go either?"

"You can go, but I must accompany you." Desmond stared deeply into Seraphina’s eyes.

"You’re so busy, do you even have time?" Seraphina didn’t really mind Desmond’s company. Having both parents around would surely be better for Jude’s growth, but wouldn’t that essentially count as them having a date?

Seeing her hesitation, Desmond said, "You know very well that Eric Holt is eyeing me. He knows Jude is my son and that you are my woman. If you all went out together, it would give him a clear opportunity. I don’t want any of you, mother or son, to get hurt."

His tone was so serious that Seraphina couldn’t think of anything else.

She could only nod: "In that case, you can come with us."

The two of them took Jude and Pomelo out, really looking like a family.

While Rosalie was packing for them, she couldn’t help but joke: "You two need to be careful when you go out, don’t focus too much on your date and forget the kids."

"Who’s going on a date with him?" A suspicious blush appeared on Seraphina’s face as she coughed lightly to hide her embarrassment.

"Anyway, the weather has cooled down, so make sure to keep warm when you go out. Especially you, Seraphina, your health hasn’t fully recovered yet, so definitely don’t stand in the wind." As she spoke, Rosalie took a beret out of her bag and placed it on Seraphina’s head.

Seraphina tugged at it: "What’s this?"

"This is a piece from Milan Fashion Week. I spent quite a bit of money on it. It’s one of the winter fashion items, a must-have for trendsetters, and it looks amazing. If you weren’t a patient now, I wouldn’t have the heart to give it to you." Rosalie looked at the beret, a bit reluctant, as she hadn’t worn it herself yet.

Seraphina raised her eyebrows: "I’ll just get you two more when the time comes. Look at you, being so stingy."

"This is a limited edition, did you know?" Rosalie pouted, frustrated, "Anyway, anyway, you should head out, it’s already late."

In October, it was already quite cold, so Seraphina wrapped the children up warmly, fearing they’d catch a cold.

"Mommy, I’m not cold." Wearing a thick leather jacket, Jude felt particularly uncomfortable.

"You’ll feel cold once you catch a cold, now put it on," Seraphina insisted, putting a little hat on him. Winter should look like winter, after all.

Pomelo, however, was well-behaved, putting on a cute and light little jacket herself, imitating Seraphina by putting on a pink little hat.

As Seraphina put a hat on Jude, she told him: "Look, your sister is all dressed up warmly. You, as the big brother, should act like one and quickly put on your shoes."

Jude, with a straight face, went to the foyer to change his shoes. Ever since Pomelo came to their home, Seraphina always compared him to her.

He didn’t really mind the comparison but always felt a bit embarrassed.

Just as he finished putting on his shoes and was about to open the door, the doorbell rang.

Jude tiptoed to open the door, revealing Keith Hughes’s handsome face outside.

He was momentarily stunned and asked: "Uncle Hughes, why are you here?"

"I heard your mommy was sick, so I came to check on her." Keith Hughes raised the fruit in his hand, showing Jude a warm smile.

Jude, a bit awkward, scratched his head: "We, along with Dad and Pomelo, were just about to go out. Uncle Hughes, your timing isn’t great."

Seraphina had finished packing and approached the door with Pomelo and Clay. Seeing Keith there made her a bit embarrassed.

They had told him before that Keith liked her. Since then, Seraphina had deliberately avoided him. She didn’t expect Keith to come to the door.

Standing outside and seeing the happy family inside, Keith couldn’t help but feel a warning sign.

Could it be that those two had reconciled?

"Junior, where are you all headed?" Keith asked with a smile, "Weren’t you supposed to be unwell? Why are you heading out?"

Seraphina awkwardly smiled: "We were getting ready to leave. Jude has a sketching assignment to do, and Pomelo wanted to go for a walk, so we’re planning on going to the zoo."

"Speaking of which, I haven’t had a good rest in a while. I’ve never been to a zoo all my life. Why don’t you add me to the trip?"

"Well..." Seraphina hesitated. Today was supposed to be a family outing, and bringing someone else didn’t quite fit.

If it were any other time, Seraphina wouldn’t have minded, since the more, the merrier.
