Chapter 124: RIVER...

After the wedding, Hazel and Ranon went on their honeymoon for ten days, where no one knew where this couple would go.

It was a secret, and the media went crazy about it with a lot of theories about the place that could be their honeymoon destination.

Their wedding alone had plastered all the media platforms and become the topic of the day. Many people couldn’t accept someone like Hazel Rose to be Ranon’s wife.

They didn’t think Hazel Rose was a good fit for Ranon Leighton.

Most of them didn’t even know her until recently when the two of them appeared in public, and only then did they learn that she was Greyson Rose’s daughter, the politician.

Because of this wedding too, the upcoming election where Greyson Rose became the candidate was put under the highlight.

"Hm, I like this picture..." Hazel said happily as she rested her head on Ranon’s lap. They were in his yacht, enjoying the sunset. "I look beautiful here."

"You look beautiful," Ranon agreed, but his eyes were still on the bruise on her wrist.

Aubrey woke up very early this morning and called Arlo a few times to check on him, whether or not he was already on his way to the hospital. She couldn’t wait to see him again.

She missed him so badly.

The waiting for him to come was torture because Arlo had to stop a few times to get a cup of coffee, which made Aubrey very impatient.

And when he stepped into the room, Aubrey threw herself at him. She hugged him very tightly and kissed him so hard.

"I miss you. I really miss you..." Aubrey buried her face against his chest and breathed in his scent. He smelled like coffee and tobacco, which was not very pleasant, but she didn’t mind it.

"I miss you too," Arlo replied; he hugged her back and kissed her head. "I need to take a bath first." He tried to push her body away gently, but Aubrey tightened her arms around his body.

"No. Let’s stay like this for a while. I still miss you."

"I only left for two days, Aubrey."

"But before that, you left me for days."

Her answer shut Arlo up, and he relented. He let her hug him as long as she wanted. He caressed her back and kissed her forehead like a loving partner.

"Do you know, I just learned about the gender of our baby." Aubrey pulled away from him and looked at his expression.

"Is it a boy?" Arlo guessed.

"How do you know?"

"A lucky guess."

Aubrey stared closely; she wanted to make a surprise for him, and when she learned her baby was a boy, she was elated. She thought Arlo would be over the moon, but his reaction was lukewarm. This was far from what she expected.

"Are you happy with me? Are you happy with our baby?"

"Of course, I am happy."

That didn’t sound convincing at all, and Aubrey couldn’t accept that. She tiptoed and kissed him. She circled her arms around his neck and pushed him against the wall.

"I am still dirty," Arlo said; he didn’t reciprocate the kiss or even react when Aubrey ground herself against him.

"I don’t care. I want to show you how much I love you." Aubrey lowered her hand and caressed his chest, down to his pants. She unbuckled his belt and slipped her hand inside his boxer. It was disappointing when Arlo didn’t have the reaction she wanted.

"I am not in the mood," Arlo said; he caught her hand to stop her as he could feel her disappointment.

"You used to say that I can turn you on with only a touch." Aubrey was stubborn; her ego was hurt. She wouldn’t stop until she got what she wanted, especially when Arlo was being agreeable.

"You don’t need to do this," Arlo said when Aubrey knelt down in front of him. His eyes slightly darkened, but he was being honest when he said that he was not in the mood; yet, he didn’t stop her.

"I want to do it," Aubrey replied. She pulled down his boxer and kissed his shaft. Her innocent eyes stared at him when she stuck out her tongue and licked him.

It took a while for Arlo to focus on what Aubrey was doing rather than the thought of how to meet with Hazel again. There were so many questions he needed to find out from her related to River.

After some time, when Aubrey felt her jaw turn numb, Arlo gave the reaction that she wanted. He grabbed her hair and twisted it around his fist as he moved his pelvis and pushed himself deeper to her throat.

Aubrey wanted to gag when he moved faster; she wanted to tell him to slow down, but in the end, she endured it when she felt he was so close.

Arlo’s breath became heavy as he found his release. He didn’t realize how painful his grip on Aubrey’s hair was, and she couldn’t complain about it.

"River..."

He whispered her name...

It was a whisper, but in this quiet room when there was only his heavy breath and the wet sound that echoed against the walls, it was so loud.

And for Aubrey, it felt like someone just stabbed her.

A whisper had never been this loud for her...

Meanwhile, Arlo realized it almost immediately, and once he simmered down, he pulled away from Aubrey, who coughed so hard and cried.

"I am sorry." Arlo dropped to his knees and hugged her, but Aubrey kept crying; she felt humiliated. "I am sorry; I didn’t mean it."

"How... how could you be so cruel...?!" Aubrey screamed at him. "Why?!" She tried to push him away, but he was way too strong for her.

Aubrey couldn’t believe it. Even when she pleasured him, the only person in his mind was her stepsister.

"I am sorry." Arlo didn’t have any excuse for his mistake.
