Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain-Chapter 125: SLEEPY AND SWEATY HAZEL
Chapter 125: SLEEPY AND SWEATY HAZEL
Olivia fiddled with her fingers as she stared at the park, where she agreed to meet with Marcus. She didn’t want to meet with him in her apartment; thus, she suggested a public area.
It sounded like a disaster. She shouldn’t have come here. It was the same circle; the same pattern, and she would reap the same result.
But... what if?
Marcus had been sending her a lot of texts, begging her to meet with him, telling her how much he was suffering, and promising her to let her know the truth about what happened to him.
She thought meeting in a public area would be a little bit wise, but it didn’t feel that way.
[Are you here?]
A text from Marcus came. It sounded desperate, as if he could sense her hesitation.
[Please. Don’t leave. I need to see you...]
Taking a deep breath, Olivia came out of her car. This would be the last time. She promised herself. She needed this closure for her sanity too.
She did this for herself. She used the same excuse to justify herself, knowing this was a bad decision.
This was the park where they used to meet in the past; thus, it brought back a lot of memories. The sweet moment when Marcus treated her right.
In the middle of this park, there was a lake with a few trees and benches under them, and there Marcus was, in their favorite spot, staring at the distance.
He looked awful. His eyes were sunken in and red, the evidence that he had not yet slept for so long. He lost so much weight to the point that Olivia could see how sharp his jaw was and how his shirt hung on his body awkwardly.
It didn’t feel right.
Marcus was in so much pain. He was suffering.
The second Marcus saw Olivia, he went to her and dropped to his knees. "I am sorry. I am really sorry..."
"What are you doing?" Olivia knelt down too and looked around. She didn’t want to attract unnecessary attention. "Get up; don’t be like this."
Thankfully, there were not many people in this park, and the people who were there didn’t pay close attention to them.
"No, I deserve this. I didn’t deserve to see you. I am very selfish to beg to see you."
"Don’t be like this, Marcus." Oliva clenched her jaw; she didn’t want to touch him, but it was against her instinct. She had this urge to comfort him. She wanted to hug him and tell him that everything would be alright.
Her resolution faltered. She knew it was a bad decision to agree to meet with him.
"You said you wanted to talk; let’s talk."

Hazel tried so hard to keep awake while waiting for Ranon. They were going to go to an island by a heli, and Ranon told her to wait as he took care of something.
Yet, Hazel fell asleep on the sofa, curling herself comfortably when Ranon returned. She snored softly with her hair falling on her face.
Her curls looked so cute; Ranon couldn’t resist playing with her hair, but Hazel had an intention to cut her hair short.
’It’s so hot, and it’s hard to take care of my hair.’ She complained when Ranon disagreed for her to cut her hair very short.
Ranon also noticed that she was sweating very often. He was worried when she didn’t wear enough clothes to keep her warm, but after he saw how furious Hazel was because it was too hot for her and the city they visited was rather humid, Ranon changed their plan to take her to a cooler place.
Even now, with the room cool enough because the air conditioner was turned on, there was a layer of sweat on her forehead.
"Wake up..." Ranon woke her up gently. "We need to go now." He kissed her cheek and caressed her head.
Wrong move. Hazel slept even more deeply.

"Thank you for coming," Marcus said in a low, hoarse voice. He kept his eyes on the ground; he didn’t dare to look Olivia in the eyes. "How... are you?"
"I am good," Olivia replied stiffly.
The familiarity was still there. The silence was not awkward, but there was a heavy tension between them as if there was a tall wall that separated the two of them, even though they were sitting next to each other, watching the sunset.
"I am sorry."
"I have heard that." Olivia sighed. "I came here because you said you would give me an explanation about everything. Let’s talk about it."
Marcus stiffened when he heard that. He didn’t say anything for a while, as though there was a war in his head that he had to win.
There would always be a war in his head, and Olivia knew that. He had told her about it. The problem with that was: that Marcus was fighting her too.
"Why did you change? What happened?" Olivia prodded because Marcus didn’t say anything for a full five minutes, and now all the street lamps had brightened the dark corners of this park, as the sun had set.
"I..." Marcus gritted his teeth; he was fidgety. "Your father approached me years ago."
"My father?" Olivia turned her head and looked at Marcus. With the mention of her father, she knew that it was not good news. Her father and his organization were not a piece of good news. "What did he say to you? Why didn’t you tell me about it?"

"The sound of the rotor is too loud; you are going to be awake anyway," Ranon explained to his sleepy wife, who was sulking though he carried her bag.
"Can’t you just carry me?" Hazel yawned. "You carried me before." Hazel referred to the time when she pretended to be asleep.
Ranon then handed her her bag, which Hazel took out of instinct and then carried her.
"See? This is better," Hazel said happily, nuzzling his neck.
