Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain-Chapter 20: I AM PREGNANT
Chapter 20: I AM PREGNANT
"I am pregnant... Really?" Hazel was sitting on top of the toilet lid, crossing her legs and leaning her back, as if she was meditating. She was still unable to believe that she was pregnant. Inside her womb, there was a baby. "A baby?!"
She didn’t know what to feel about this.
"There are so many women who don’t get pregnant on the first try, but he actually got me in one shot?" Hazel shook her head. Well, to be fair, there were so many shots that night.
Right now, she was thinking of what to do. Should she let Ranon know about this? Or let her father handle this? What was Greyson going to do about it? Telling her to get an abortion? Going on with Dylan’s plan to marry her off to force a connection with the Leighton family?
"Damn..." Hazel scratched her head. "None of my plans have worked out yet, and now I have a problem like this?" She stared at her flat stomach. "Damn..."
And she remembered Ranon reminding her to take a pill, but she brushed it off lightly.
"I don’t think he will be happy with this news too..." Hazel clicked her tongue, annoyed with the mess she created.
Hazel went back with Dylan and the driver because Greyson had an important meeting to attend. Their visit to the hospital was a secret, and because of that, Greyson chose to come to his old friend.
Their journey back to Rose Mansion was filled with silence, and when Hazel wanted to turn on music, Dylan growled at her to turn it off. In the end, she chose to take a nap. She would think of this pregnancy later.
However, when they arrived, Dylan followed her to her bedroom and cornered her there. His voice was cold and harsh.
"You are going to keep the baby," he said. It was not even a request but a demand.
"I don’t think Father will agree to keep the baby; more importantly, shouldn’t you ask me first whether I would like to keep the baby or not, since it’s in my womb now?"
"I don’t need your opinion."
"Too bad. Didn’t your parents teach you the right way to ask for a favor from someone else? At the very least, you can say ’please’..." Hazel made a sweet tone and drawled the word ’please’, which irked Dylan.
"You killed our mother."
Oh, right. Hazel forgot they had the same parents, and in their eyes, she was the reason why they didn’t have a mother now.
"Oh, my bad. Sorry, though I don’t remember so much, since I was so little and my brain had not fully functioned."
Dylan glared at her taunt. He looked like he was going to slap her. "Get inside your room and do not step out without my permission!"
Hearing that, Hazel raised her brows; she wanted to give him a piece of her mind, but then she decided not to because in the end, she indeed wanted to get inside her bedroom and end this meaningless conversation.
"Okay." Hazel walked past him and entered the room; she didn’t forget to slam the door in front of his face and lock it so he wouldn’t be able to get inside and punish her for her rudeness.
However, Dylan didn’t care about that because just now, he received a message, and this changed his expression. He immediately left the house. Something urgent had come up.
A maid would come to bring food for Hazel, but aside from that, Hazel spent her day lying on the bed, thinking of what she was going to do with this pregnancy. And how it would hinder her revenge plan.
She was going back and forth with her decision about whether or not she had to tell Ranon about it. And in the end, she decided to call him instead.
"I have an emergency, and I need your help."
"Name?"
"What?" Hazel frowned.
"The name of the Lozan’s target."
"I have not found it yet. I need more time."
There was a pause before Ranon talked again. "I think this is a bad deal. I got nothing from this." He did her more favor than what she could offer.
"Don’t be ridiculous. We are a team." Hazel then grimaced when she spoke again. "And I am pregnant with your child."
The Leighton family had more opportunities to meet with the Barlowe family than the Rose family. In fact, they had a joint business that Hazel just remembered. If she were a part of the Leighton family, she would cross paths with the Barlowe family more often than if she stayed as a ’Rose’.
Therefore, the thought of being with Ranon was not that bad.
"Hello? Are you there? You are not passed out, right?" Hazel frowned because there was no response from Ranon.
"Is this a trap?"
Hazel could hear his voice dripping with anger.
"Look, we are both victims here, and I just learned about it a few hours ago. I am still in shock too."
"I asked you about the pill."
Hazel grimaced again. She felt stupid now. It was not easy to adapt to someone else’s body. Her mind was still unable to comprehend that.
"Okay, I am sorry for that; I was reckless." Hazel threw her arm up, as if Ranon could see her. "You can’t put the blame on me completely, okay?"
"I am not going to talk about this over the phone."
"Fine. Let’s meet up. Where are you? I will come to you."
Dylan had told her not to go out, but right now, he was the least of her worries; more so, he would be thrilled if he learned she was going to meet with Ranon Leighton.
"No. You can’t. I am currently abroad."
"Buy me a plane ticket and pick me up at the airport," Hazel said calmly. She was not going to waste time here. "Look, I don’t know what my father will do; he may decide to flush your baby down the toilet, you know."
