Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain-Chapter 68: DID SHE MEET SOMEONE ELSE?
Chapter 68: DID SHE MEET SOMEONE ELSE? ƒrēenovelkiss.com
Actually, Olivia didn’t want to answer him; she didn’t even want to talk with him. She was still pissed with the fact he barged into her apartment without permission, but after Arlo glared sharply at her, that woman scoffed derisively at him.
"Fine. I will answer your questions, but you need to answer mine first." She looked at him with this disgust in her eyes.
Arlo narrowed his eyes. He didn’t like to be interrogated, but if this could make things easier and he could find the information that he needed faster, he would compromise for it.
"Ask your questions."
Olivia didn’t beat around the bush when she fired her questions.
"Why would you want to find River when you already have Aubrey now? She is your current woman; why would you want to find River?"
Arlo didn’t expect this question since, as far as he knew, Olivia and River were not close. They actually didn’t get along well, but then River had purchased a wedding dress from Olivia, so he couldn’t say that for sure.
Now he figured out there were a lot of things he didn’t know about River. When he thought he had figured her out, that woman was still a mystery, and he couldn’t get over himself from her.
"That’s none of your business, Olivia," Arlo said sharply. He looked tired.
"Yeah. You cheated on her, and now you look for her like crazy. What is the meaning of it?"
"That’s none of your business. I can do whatever. This is not your place to know anything about my relationship with River or with Aubrey."
"I have a right to know."
"You have no right."
"Yeah, fine, I have no right here to talk about it." Olivia scowled. "Fine. If you don’t want to tell me, then answer me. Why do you care about River now?" She still didn’t let go of the topic.
"I told you, that’s none of your business."
"That’s not even an answer."
"I don’t have any obligations to answer you."
"So do I." Olivia crossed her legs and folded her arms defiantly. "I don’t have any obligations to answer you."
Arlo glared at Olivia. She knew this woman was difficult; because of this attitude, he didn’t like her, and right now, Arlo looked like he was going to murder her.
However, Olivia didn’t back down. If there was one thing about her that she inherited from her family, it would be her bravery.
She used to get this murderous glare from her father. It’s not like she walked out from her family easily. She actually had to butt heads with her father, and he almost killed her.
In fact, Olivia was pretty much already disowned by her family now.
"Fine, what answer do you want to know? I do care about River, but I want Aubrey to be my wife, and I don’t feel sorry about that."
"Yeah, because she is pregnant with your baby, right?" Olivia said bluntly, and Arlo didn’t even deny it. "Oh, fuck, you are really a jerk, Arlo. Do you know that? I thought the only good thing about River was she could find someone sane enough to match her insanity. But actually, compared to you, I prefer River more. That meant a lot from someone like me who really doesn’t like that woman. Now, answer my question."
"I have answered yours."
Olivia looked frustrated, but then she gave up to dig more about Arlo and Aubrey. She thought she could gather more information; after all, River was going to call her, and she was not going to tell Arlo about it.
"I also don’t know what the relationship between River and Hazel is. I am also confused why she suddenly made an appearance in my boutique."
Arlo narrowed his eyes. He seemed to not believe what Olivia said, but he knew this woman didn’t lie. He could see it.
And for a while the room fell into silence. There were only the two of them there, and this quietness was pretty annoying for Olivia.
She didn’t like it, and before she could combust with the awkwardness, she got up and got some glass of wine.
She poured two glasses of it for her and for Arlo. After that, she gave it to him. "Don’t worry, I didn’t put poison inside."
Yet, Arlo didn’t even let her finish her word when he chugged it down almost immediately. As if he really needed the alcohol in his system to keep him sane.
"You look so bad, you know, I don’t remember seeing you very pathetic like this. Are you sure about your choice to be with Aubrey? As much as I hate River, I hate her stepsister even more. She is such a brat with no good head on her shoulders."
Olivia liked to run her mouth; she would say anything that crossed her mind. That’s why most of the people didn’t like her, but she couldn’t care less about people’s opinions.
If she cared, she wouldn’t have left her family, or she would have left her boyfriend now.
"Don’t talk about her like that."
"Fine," Olivia replied, shrugging her shoulders. "But I am telling you the truth."
Arlo glared at her, this time more viciously. No matter what, Aubrey was still the mother of his baby, and he wouldn’t let anyone talk about her like that.
"Why did River buy the wedding dress from you? Tell me everything."
"I don’t know. I didn’t ask her why she wanted to buy that wedding dress. She gave me the money, and I gave her the item, as simple as that."
"Is there someone else? Did she meet someone else?" Arlo asked through his gritted teeth.
"Seriously, Arlo. I am not close with her; we don’t even like each other, so why would I want to know about her private life?" Olivia used her eyes to judge the man before her. "To be honest, I hope she really finds someone better than you. Because you suck."
