Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain-Chapter 94: A DOUBLE DATE
Chapter 94: A DOUBLE DATE
"No, you need to stay a little bit longer. The doctor said that. You need to stay."
"No." Olivia then corrected what the doctor actually said. "The doctor said I could leave the hospital."
"Yeah, but it’s better if you stay."
"And it’s fine if I leave as long as I return once a week for a check-up." Olivia then glanced at her reflection in the mirror. The bruises had faded; if she put a little bit of makeup on and used a bit thicker foundation, she would be fine.
But what upset her the most was the fact that she received a wedding invitation from Hazel this morning. That woman actually invited her to her wedding, which would be held within a week.
She couldn’t believe that.
The boldness of the Rose and the Leighton family to invite someone to their wedding within a week. They must be crazy.
But then, Olivia knew the guests would come to their wedding regardless. They would be so eager to get to know the Leighton and the Rose family or this ’rushed’ wedding.
It had been a talk in this country since both of them went out to the public to announce that they were dating and they were going to get married.
Olivia didn’t want to come, but then she could see the opportunity to widen her connections with the other guests. It would be her opportunity to stop being stuck in her career as a designer.
Not to mention Hazel was going to wear her design. She should be there. This completely annoyed Olivia.
The other guests must have seen this invitation as an opportunity to widen their connections too. That’s why most of the guests would come, even though the invitation was only a week away, which was already very crazy for them.
"These crazy people," Olivia talked to herself. She clicked her tongue in annoyance, especially when Lyle was still berating her in the background to stop her from leaving the hospital. "Look, I don’t want to stay here. So, stay away from me."
"What?"
"I don’t have the patience for this, Lyle."
"Seriously, you don’t have patience for me while you have a lot of patience for your stupid boyfriend?"
Hearing that, Olivia gave him a digger look and then walked away from her overprotective brother, while Lyle knew no matter what he did or what he said, he would never be able to stop her from leaving.
And right at that time, when they were still bickering here and there about how Olivia would deal with Marcus, someone brought a bouquet of flowers.
"You need to leave him. Don’t tell me you are going to take him back like usual."
"I don’t want to discuss it with you."
"Why? Because you are going to do that? Please, Olivia, you are not stupid, but why, whenever you are with him, does your brain suddenly stop functioning? Seriously, you can find someone else better, but why do you have to stay with him when he gave you nothing but shit?" freēwēbnovel.com
"I don’t want to talk about this." Olivia growled at Lyle when someone came to her and handed her a bouquet of flowers. He was a lanky man with a baseball hat, and Lyle stepped in front of Olivia, glaring down at the man. "Who is this from?"
"This. This comes with a letter."
However, before Olivia could read it, Lyle had snatched it from her hand. He opened it, read it so fast, and then snarled.
"This is from that piece of shit!"
Olivia knew who he was talking about, even though she knew already from the very beginning that the flowers must have come from him.
This was always like this. The same old trick, the same old song, and the same old dance.
But Olivia used to fall for this time after time. Marcus would start to be very sweet with her. He would be anything and everything that Olivia wanted after he just hurt her.
After he beat her up to the point, she was close to her death.
"Don’t tell me you are able to be persuaded with only a bouquet of flowers. I can buy you the whole flower shop if you really want it, as long as you leave him."
Olivia glared at Lyle for his comment, but then she walked towards the dustbin and shoved the flower bouquet into it before she walked away.
She didn’t even spare Lyle a glance, who actually smirked with victory. Yet he knew he shouldn’t be too happy with it, since Marcus wouldn’t stop with only a bouquet of flowers, and Olivia used to cave in a lot in the past.

Hazel was staring at her reflection in the mirror; Ranon said he was going to pick her up after his meeting with Rafael Scar.
"It’s already late at night. I am already eating. Why does he want to have dinner with me? Shouldn’t it be called a supper instead?"
"Miss Rose, this is still evening. Some people eat dinner around this time," Yara told her with a chuckle.
She and Nolu got into big trouble because they lost Hazel once again, but knowing Mr. Leighton’s personality, they wondered why they had not yet been replaced; it was not the first time they failed to track Hazel down.
Nolu became overly alert since he couldn’t believe that the young daughter of the Rose family managed to trick him, while Yara was rather impressed by Hazel’s ability to get away from them right under their nose.
"Yes, but it’s already past my bedtime."
"Miss Rose, you are going to be awake two hours later to eat something. It’s no different from this, right?"
What Yara said was true. Hazel used to wake up around this time to get some snacks since she was hungry, and to her annoyance, Logan would be there to remind her how much she had eaten during the day.
Thankfully, not long after that, Ranon came. He looked neat and sophisticated like usual. He had taken off his outer suit and was only wearing his white shirt, with the sleeves folded to his elbows.
Renna called Hazel down, and when she approached him, he opened the car door for her, as he drove here by himself.
"Didn’t I tell you that you need to get a bodyguard? Do you have nine lives? Why are you being so reckless?" Hazel was still not happy with Ranon’s decision not to give himself a bodyguard while he gave her two.
"You don’t need to worry about that; I have someone else better to protect me."
Hazel frowned. "What does that mean?"
However, Ranon didn’t answer her question, and she didn’t ask further. She was still unhappy, actually, not with the fact that Ranon didn’t get a bodyguard for himself, but with the fact he gave her two, which was not necessary, yet she didn’t want to argue with him about it.
"How is the deal with Rafael Scar?"
"It went well. That’s why I came here to thank you."
"With a supper?"
"It’s still evening, Hazel; it’s not supper yet."
"It passed my bedtime."
"From what I know, you used to wake up..."
Hazel cut him off immediately, knowing where this conversation was going. "Okay, okay, okay. I have heard that before." Obviously, if Yara and Nolu knew about her habit, it went without a question that Ranon would also know about it.
Hazel had helped Ranon to secure a deal with Mr. Rafael Scar since she knew about his dirty deal. He was involved in the illegal shipping that was run by the Lozen family.
On the surface, the Lozen family was a family that specialized in transportation, and Hazel let Ranon know.
This was going to help her to achieve her goal of getting revenge. She hated how messed up her father was for treating her differently from Aubrey when she was the one who literally put her life on the line for him.
"Have you closed the deal with him?"
"He asked for two days to think about it."
Two days... It was understandable. It was typical of Rafael Scar, after all; she knew that man was very cautious.
"Two days to think sounds reasonable enough." Actually, Hazel was going to use this opportunity to create a discord between the Lozen family and Rafael by using Ranon, even though the latter did not realize that Hazel was slowly using him.
His connections and whatever power he held were going to help her with her revenge.
Once Hazel knew they were going to the Imperial Restaurant, Ranon could see how her eyes lit up.
"Will I get a lamb chop?" She could feel her mouth watering. It has been a while since the last time she ate a lamb chop.
"Yes." Ranon glanced at her, and the way she was beaming brought a smile to his face. He parked the car, turned off the engine, and then walked around the car to open the door for Hazel.
However, this woman had opened her own car door because of how excited she was and then grabbed his hand, pulling him towards the restaurant.
"Come on, you walk so slow like a pregnant woman."
Hazel had the audacity to talk to him like that as she dragged him away. Ranon was speechless with the way she was acting.
But, inside the restaurant, in the private room where Hazel closed the deal with Ranon for the first time, she saw Lucian and Ares were already there.
Hmm? What was it? A double date?
