Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain-Chapter 96: THE NIGHT OF THE CELEBRATION
Chapter 96: THE NIGHT OF THE CELEBRATION
"Actually, it’s not something that I want. I called you because I want to warn you that the Lozens is a sinking ship, and you need to save yourself before you get caught in the middle of it."
Hazel wouldn’t tell Rafael directly what he needed to do, because someone like him wouldn’t appreciate being told.
"This is interesting; you actually warned me about your family. You said they are going to go down. Is it safe to say that you are the one who will bring them down?" Rafael was surprised with her intention to call him.
"I made this phone call to tell you that it’s not a wise decision to stay with the Lozens. If I were you, I would wash my hands of anything related to them.
"You are going to bring your family down." That was not even a question, but a statement. "Is it because you were betrayed by your sister and your ex-fiancé? Don’t you think that’s too much? I don’t think your father will agree with that."
"I don’t need his permission to ruin them. I called you because you are my precious client." The sarcasm was very thick when she called him her ’precious client.’ "That’s why I have this obligation to let you know what will happen."
"A precious client, huh? Why did when the word came out of your mouth, it sounded like you were mocking me?" Rafael stared at the dance floor, where people danced crazily to the loud music. "How can I trust you when you are going to stab your own father? It’s very obvious that you are holding a grudge against them. What if you actually let me walk into a trap instead? What game are you playing?"
Hazel knew how cautious Rafael was, but then she also knew how to startle him a bit. "Let’s say I know your deal with the Lozen family. I know everything more than your dirty deals with them. All of their dirty deals. I have every card that I need to ruin them. My warning is only a courtesy for you since they are going to go down. I warn you to make a better choice. It’s not every day that I am this generous."
The playfulness in their banter disappeared as they turned serious. "And what if you change sides and stab me instead?"
"Why should I?"
"I don’t know, since you are going to ruin your family, the family that meant so much to you. What am I in your eyes?"
"You are not that important for me to go through this trouble. Don’t flatter yourself."
"Not important... You are always full of confidence; I like that." Rafael stared at the distance. "You know what, River? You can tell someone to go to hell in such a way that makes them look forward to the journey. That’s one of the things that I like about you."
"I know, keep liking me; maybe I will follow your social media one day, Rafael."
And with that, Hazel secured the deal between Ranon and Rafael, making Arthur lose his client; even though Rafael said he was going to have more time to think about it, there was nothing to think about.
Hazel already knew his decision. After all, she had been dealing with him for four years. That was why she knew his movement and the way he thought.
In her line of business, that’s the necessary skill that she had to master.
And just like what Hazel had predicted, the next day, Rafael agreed with the term, and Hazel won the bet against Lucian.

"When will he come?" Logan entered Hazel’s bedroom without even knocking first.
"What?" Hazel turned around; she just finished with her makeup because Ranon just told her this afternoon that Rafael had agreed with the agreement between them.
It had already been expected, and now Ranon would treat her to a dinner. Obviously, Hazel would come, especially when she needed to collect the bet from Lucian.
"Why are you dressing up like that? But more importantly, can’t you knock on the door? I could have been naked."
"I know you are not naked. It will be unfortunate for me to see you naked." Logan made himself comfortable as he sat on the chair. "Of course, I dress up for dinner."
"I don’t remember that I invited you to come to the dinner."
"I overheard your conversation with your sweet husband-to-be, so I invited myself to go with you two. I heard you will celebrate something important. There must be drinks there, right?" Logan looked at Hazel smugly. "I need to remind him that he owed me a drink. I have tried calling him, but he has never picked up his phone."
Hazel crossed her arms. This man was really annoying. It had been a few days since he had bothered her because he had been away. She didn’t know where he had gone, and she couldn’t care less about that, but those were very peaceful days without him hovering around her bedroom.
She made a mental note to put a bolt on her bedroom door, but then she wouldn’t live here anymore after this week. Her wedding was so close now.
"So where are you going?"
"I don’t know, and you are not invited."
"Oh, seriously? Let me talk to him. He will invite me. I know how to talk with someone."
Hazel approached Logan; she then sat down across from him as she stretched out to grab a fruit knife and started to peel the apple. She liked it without the skin.
"You are angry. Why are you angry? You should be excited to have me come with you."
"I don’t feel excited, and I am not angry either."
"Are you sure you are not angry? Because I can see your mood. You have a knife in your hand, and I don’t think that means you are happy that I came with you. Is it a date?"
"Yes, this is a date, and you are a nuisance."
Logan scoffed at that blatant lie. "So why do Lucian and Ares come along too?"
"Why not? It’s a double date," Hazel replied without thinking.
"What?" Logan was surprised. "I don’t know they are together; is that true?"
Logan leaned over his body; he was so eager for a gossip, and Hazel was speechless; she didn’t know that her brother had this side of him. This man was insufferable.
"Stay away from me. You have been gone for the past few days. Why do you show up now? I like it when you are not here." Hazel didn’t even try to hide her displeasure.
"Seriously, don’t be too harsh with me. I am not in a good mood."
"You are always not in a good mood, and now you want to spread that virus to me."
However, Logan ignored her remark and then started to talk about his day. "I just ended a four-year relationship."
"You what? I don’t know that you are in a relationship. I thought you changed women like you changed clothes."
Logan looked at her angrily. "What?!"
"You don’t even mind sleeping with anything with a hole. I feel sorry for your girlfriend." frёewebηovel.cѳm
"It wasn’t my relationship."
Hazel was speechless. "So, did you ruin someone else’s relationship?" Logan groaned; he looked upset. "Look, if you are looking for someone to listen to your complaint, find someone else. Pay for therapy; it’s obvious you need one."
Once again, Logan ignored her as he continued with his rambling. "I slept with his girlfriend once. Why was he so mad with me?"
"Logan, stay away from me if you want to complain about that. I am not the right person for you to confess to. I don’t care how shitty your life is. I am not interested in knowing more about it."
"You are my sister; don’t you want to cheer me up?"
"I want to choke you down, actually." Hazel gave him a disgusted look. "You cheated with your best friend’s girlfriend. You are lucky that I don’t throw this knife at your head!"
"See? I told you; you are angry, right?!" Logan jumped to his feet when he saw Hazel was serious about throwing the knife at him. "He did the same to me! He slept with two of my girlfriends!"
Hazel couldn’t even think of what was right or wrong anymore. "You know what? I am holding back the urge to stick this knife in your asshole. Castrating you will be a service to humankind."
"Since when are you this cruel? You used to be very sweet."
Thankfully, right at that time, Renna came to her bedroom and told her that Ranon was already there.
"He owes me a drink. He is going to bring me along!" Logan rushed towards the main door, where Ranon was waiting for Hazel.
"Damn, that guy!" Hazel put away the knife.
"Is everything fine, Miss?"
"No, it’s not," Hazel said tiredly.
It was enough to deal with Logan at home; she didn’t want to deal with him outside of the house. However, to her dismay, Ranon actually agreed to bring him along.
That’s why two minutes later, Hazel was sitting on the back seat, while Logan was sitting next to the driver. She really wanted to murder this brother of Hazel, especially when he resumed with his complaints and rambles.
"Why did you bring him here?" Hazel hissed at Ranon, who was sitting next to her.
"Why not? The more, the merrier." It was very obvious he did this intentionally, simply to upset her.
