Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain-Chapter 97: THE NIGHT OF THE CELEBRATION (2)
Chapter 97: THE NIGHT OF THE CELEBRATION (2)
Hazel couldn’t believe it. Ranon brought Logan along only to piss her off. She didn’t know what else to say.
"Are you my enemy?" Hazel clutched her chest dramatically. She was not happy with it, while Ranon simply caressed her cheek.
"I thought you would like it since both of you look really close with each other."
"Close?" The corner of Hazel’s lips twitched. "In what eyes do you see me close with him?" In truth, Hazel was so close to killing Logan a few times since that man upset the hell out of her.
"It’s okay; siblings usually don’t show their affection with each other." Ranon retracted his hand from caressing her cheek when Hazel looked like she was going to scratch him. "Moreover, I owe him a drink."
"Just like how you show your affection towards your siblings?" Hazel scoffed.
And Ranon replied shamelessly. "Yes."
With that, Hazel couldn’t say anything; she simply shook her head. Both of them knew that it was a lie, and Hazel wondered what hidden agenda Ranon had.
They didn’t go to the Imperial Restaurant again, but they went to a bar. Ranon had booked a private room here, and Hazel recognized this bar as one of the bars that the Leighton family owned.
"Why do you bring me here? I can’t even drink. What’s the point of coming here?" Hazel opened the car door even before Ranon could open it for her.
She was too preoccupied by the fact this man took his future pregnant wife to a bar; therefore, she failed to see the displeasure in Ranon’s eyes when she opened the car door by herself.
"Because I owe him a drink."
"You owe him a drink, but I thought this dinner was for me."
Ranon rested his hand on her waist. "I have cucumber juice for you."
"Is that supposed to appease me?" She felt like a child that was being appeased by a toy. Ranon grabbed Hazel’s hand, and this time he was the one who pulled her into the bar.
Actually, there was a hidden meaning behind the reason why Ranon took her here... Ranon glanced at Logan, who walked ahead of him inside the private room.
Ares and Lucian had been waiting for them. They had a few drinks and snacks but immediately frowned when they saw Logan come along.
"Why is he here?" Lucian asked, and Logan was offended by the question.
"Why not? I was invited by my future brother-in-law to celebrate it." This was the first time they had interaction, but from the first moment, they knew right away that they wouldn’t get along.
Lucian and Ares had dug so deep into whatever information related to Hazel; thus, they knew how she was being treated in the house and also what Logan’s role in it was.
"Do you even know what we celebrate here?"
"No, but whatever it is, congratulations." Logan then took a seat and started ordering drinks that he liked.
Meanwhile, Hazel squeezed down her dissatisfaction, as she had something to do. She wanted to collect her bet from Lucian.
"I won the bet, so you need to do something for me."
"I don’t remember that." Lucian blinked his eyes innocently. He crossed his arms and leaned back on the sofa.
He was excited they won this deal, especially when Rafael Scar didn’t make it difficult for them; but he was still not sure what Hazel wanted since this woman was rather unpredictable.
"Don’t worry, I only want you to win a case for me."
"What case?" Lucian frowned. He was a lawyer for the Leighton family. "Unless you have a legal battle related to a business, I don’t think I can help you."
"Yeah, it’s something about business."
"Why do I have a bad feeling about it?" Lucian’s guts said it was not something good.
"I will tell you in detail later." Hazel was grinning from ear to ear, which made Lucian’s hair stand on end. He had a bad feeling about her demand.
Meanwhile, Ranon didn’t seem interested in the conversation between Hazel and Lucian, but he listened to them carefully. He didn’t miss a word.
In the end, Hazel got her cucumber juice, dinner, and a few more snacks for her to eat as she listened to their ramblings.
It didn’t take long before they drank their ass off, especially when Logan and Lucian tried to one-up each other in a drinking contest, while Ranon got away from it with the reason he had to take care of his pregnant woman.
"Don’t tell me you bring my sister here to get that excuse?" Logan pointed his accusatory finger; he was already drunk. "I bet you can’t even stand a glass of whiskey."
Ranon didn’t look offended, but he didn’t give in with his taunt either, as he drank the weird cucumber juice with Hazel.
"Don’t mind me; I will be in the corner having another existential crisis." Lucian was being dramatic as he stood up and then sat down in the corner like a child who was being punished and having a time-out.
"What is this? This is how he is when he is drunk?" Hazel asked Ares, who was very quiet. "I am talking with you." Hazel had not yet talked to Ranon because she was still upset with him.
However, seeing Ares stare into the distance without saying anything was quite concerning. And finally, Hazel talked to Ranon.
"Is this how he is when he gets drunk? What happened with him?"
At the corner there was Lucian, who was weeping and being all dramatic, talking about his existence and the money that he spent on the gambling table, also the woman that he slept with the last time.
It was unnecessary information that Hazel didn’t want to hear, but apparently, Lucian had not been with anyone for two months.
On the other hand, Ares was in his own world, while Logan was already on the dance floor, dancing with poor women who were being fooled by his handsome face.
