Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 297: Playing Dumb
"Next time you come to Shilin's place, I'll make you mine!" Lin Kuang said, sounding a bit annoyed.
He also felt helpless. Having such a beauty so close by yet being unable to touch her was a torment like no other.
The two chatted for a while longer before Lin Kuang returned to Liu Shilin's office.
"Shilin, how has the company been doing lately?" Lin Kuang asked with concern, seeing how busy she was.
"It's been okay, same as always. Nothing out of the ordinary has happened," Liu Shilin said with a smile after a moment of thought. "However, I've heard that the stock prices for the Wang, Zhao, and Huang families have fluctuated wildly. The situation seems pretty risky, and it's left them completely overwhelmed."
This was certainly good news for Yashi. Hearing this, Lin Kuang maintained a composed exterior, but inwardly he could barely contain his excitement. Have they started making their moves? It looks like that big gift will arrive on Saturday night! The thought made him even more delighted.
"Not bad, this definitely counts as good news," Lin Kuang said with a laugh, feigning schadenfreude. "Those guys brought it on themselves. They really had it coming."
Liu Shilin nodded in agreement. "Yes, they had it coming for targeting Yashi."
The two chatted until it was time to leave work, at which point they both drove off.
When they returned to the villa, the little Witch was sitting in the living room watching TV. Her beautiful eyes lit up when she saw Lin Kuang appear in the hall, but she managed to hide it well.
"I thought you weren't coming back," the little Witch said irritably, glancing at Lin Kuang.
"I considered not coming back, but I was afraid you'd miss me," Lin Kuang replied with a grin.
"Miss you? Go away, I couldn't be bothered to miss you," the little Witch huffed.
Watching Lin Kuang bicker with the little Witch, Liu Shilin felt a bit helpless. Those two seemed to have conflicting personalities and were guaranteed to argue whenever they met.
"Can't you two ever give it a rest?" Liu Shilin sighed. "I'm going upstairs to change." With that, she promptly went upstairs.
Seeing her go, Lin Kuang walked over to the little Witch with a grin and gave her chest a squeeze.
"Little girl, did you miss me?" he asked softly, pulling her into his embrace.
"Of course I did," the little Witch confessed, her face blushing as she revealed her true feelings.
"Good, good, that's my girl. I'll be waiting for you tonight. I've really missed you," Lin Kuang said with a grin. The little Witch's face turned even redder, but her eyes filled with anticipation.
This was the nature of tasting forbidden fruit: one could exercise restraint before the first time, but once that line was crossed, everything would spiral out of control.
"Okay," the little Witch answered decisively.
The two whispered for a while longer before returning to normal.
A short while later, Liu Shilin came downstairs, and Lin Kuang chatted with the two women. After dinner, he left the villa and headed to the Yang Family's home.
By then, Yang Ruoxi and little Xinxin had already returned.
When Lin Kuang walked into the hall, little Xinxin ran over to him barefoot.
"Uncle-in-law, give me a hug! Xinxin missed you!" she chirped, running up to him and stretching out her cute little hands.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang scooped little Xinxin into his arms and gave her two big kisses on her little cheek. "I missed you too, Xinxin. Have you been a good girl lately?"
"Of course I have! I'm the best girl ever!" little Xinxin said happily, snuggling into Lin Kuang's arms. The little girl seemed incredibly joyful.
Yang Ruoxi also looked over at Lin Kuang, a smile on her pretty face. His return had put her in a good mood as well.
As Lin Kuang and Yang Ruoxi went upstairs, he couldn't help but ask with a smile, "Ruoxi, did you miss me?"
"Just a little," Yang Ruoxi said with a beaming smile.
"That won't do. Did you miss me or not?" Lin Kuang asked again, holding her in his arms.
Yang Ruoxi's pretty face turned pink as she nodded slightly. "I missed you a little bit."
"How much is 'a little bit'?" Lin Kuang pressed.
"Hey! A little bit is a little bit! If you ask again, I'll say I didn't miss you at all!" Yang Ruoxi said with a blush, looking incredibly cute.
"If you didn't miss me, then I'll have to punish you!" With that, Lin Kuang pinned Yang Ruoxi underneath him and kissed the corner of her lips.
Her face flushed red, but she didn't resist, instead leaning into him as they enjoyed the tender moment together.
After the kiss, a shy Yang Ruoxi lay in Lin Kuang's arms, embracing his muscular body.
"Ruoxi, has anything happened lately? Did that Chen Shaowen bother you?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile.
Hearing this, Yang Ruoxi shook her head. "No, he hasn't shown up since you left. It's like he just vanished."
"He hasn't shown up? That's good. Better that he doesn't disturb my Ruoxi," Lin Kuang said with a laugh. Inwardly, however, his thoughts were different. That Chen Shaowen is definitely preparing something. And with Chu Zhongtian and Wang Ya Hao staying hidden, who knows what they might be plotting. Still, he was relieved that Chen Shaowen hadn't appeared to bother Yang Ruoxi. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"Alright, hurry up and transfer True Qi to me. Let's see how my body is doing," Yang Ruoxi said with flushed cheeks as she sat up.
"Check your body, huh? How should I check it? Like this, or should you take everything off for me to see?" Lin Kuang asked, feigning puzzlement.
Yang Ruoxi was stunned for a moment, then she shot him a fierce glare. "You perv, you're getting worse and worse! I asked you to check my body, not *that* way!"
"Oh? Then how should I check it?" Lin Kuang asked curiously.
Yang Ruoxi ground her teeth in irritation. "Jerk! Are you going to do it or not? If not, I'm leaving!"
"Oh, do what? Ruoxi, you're being so direct. You'll make me blush," Lin Kuang said, his face turning red as he glanced at her bashfully.
Seeing this, Yang Ruoxi was both annoyed and amused. "Lin Kuang, you jerk!"
"Hahaha, alright, alright, I'll stop teasing you. Ruoxi, you're adorable," Lin Kuang laughed out loud. Teasing Yang Ruoxi was just too much fun and had greatly improved his mood.
Hearing his words, Yang Ruoxi huffed in annoyance before sitting cross-legged on the bed.
This time, Lin Kuang grew serious. He sat cross-legged behind her and placed his palms on her back, sending a surge of his True Qi into her body. Through this connection, he could sense the changes happening within her.
Even though he hadn't transferred any True Qi to her for two days, the Tai Chi power in her body was already slowly merging with the Extreme Yin Cold Qi. This meant that even if Lin Kuang stopped transferring True Qi to her in the future, the Tai Chi power in her body would continue to autonomously merge with the Extreme Yin Cold Qi. It would just do so at a much slower pace.
