Unscented-Chapter 1199 - 1141 Got Worse

Melissa sighed as she sat down in the doctor’s office. The doctor had just invited her. She was scared maybe her children’s condition had become worse.

"Thank you" the doctor started. "There is a little piece of information for you" he cleared his throat.

"I thought you promised that my children would be okay once I get all those prescription. And I made sure everything is complete" Melissa said worriedly. She had judged that there was problem by looking at the doctor’s face.

"Yes, they will be. I assure you. I just want to tell you something else" the doctor quickly replied. "You will have to stay here with the kids" he scoffed.

"Stay here?" Melissa asked like she didn’t hear the first time.

"Yes. They need to be seeing your face. I shouldn’t lie to you. Their condition is worse than what we thought. They had lung problems" the doctor revealed.

"They had that sometimes ago but we were told it was cured" Melissa seemed scared.

"Actually, it was cured but after they fell sick. The lungs were having inflammations again and the conditions was revived. So we need to treat that separately now" he explained.

"Doctor, please do everything you can to see that my kids get better" Melissa pleaded.

"We will but you need to help us. Emotional well-being means a lot to our health. That’s why we need your presence. That might affect your job" he rescinded.

"I will, of course. And I will take some days off at work. That is very easy. The health of my kids is the most important thing to me" she nodded in agreement.

"It’s good as you have accepted to stay. So many parents do not agree easily. They believed that the doctors should carry all responsibilities once they have paid" he commended her.

"Are they not in any kind of pain right now?" Melissa was worried.

She blamed herself. If the children had not caught fever. They wouldn’t be having lung problems again.

And the fever was caused as a result of her negligence. She was busy going after Anthony’s company, releasing their information to the public.

"Do not worry about that. That’s our duty" the doctor consoled her.

Melissa went out of the doctor’s office. She tried calling Murray once again. Since she had dropped a message for him. He had not replied.

Just like he had a part to share in the blame. Though, Murray had been a very good husband,father and all. He was there when Melissa was sick.

He also had to be here now. His presence was needed badly.

She wanted to message him again but she was too angry. She furiously put her phone back in her bag and hit the wall close to her.

"Are you okay?" a nurse approached her and asked calmly.

Melissa stared at the nurse briefly and started hitting the wall again.

"You have to stop that. You are hurting yourself" the nurse moved closer to her.

"Leave me!" Melissa said rudely and continued. She increased her speed and intensity. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

The nurse grabbed her and held her.

"Whatever is it you are going through, this is not the best. It won’t help" she advised her.

"My kids are sick just because I neglected them. Now they are in pain" she sobbed.

"That’s okay, you did the right thing by working hard and you have also done the right thing by bringing them here" she commended her

"That’s it. I didn’t bring them here. Nanny did" she blamed herself more.

"The nanny that you pay with your money. That means you brought them indirectly" the nurse really had a way of turning words around to console her.

"And their father also, I have been trying to call him. He is not responding. He has to be here" she continued. She knew she had a lot of reasons to feel bad.

"He will come. I’m sure you won’t be calling him repeatedly if he is not always responsible. He surely has his reasons" the nurse urged her again.

"Yes, he uses to be responsive and available but this is the time I needed him the most" she shook her head.

"I assure you he will come around soon. He also wants to be here badly. I’m sure you know that" the nurse seemed to be right.

Murray was a caring man. He would feel very bad if he knew his kids were hospitalized.

Anthony went back to the three wise men headquarters. He had not seen any progress since the last time he came.

And that was different from what they discussed. They were very confident back then.

He was allowed into their office few minutes later.

"You are welcome" the first wise man greeted him with smile.

"It’s good you know who I am. What happened, I didn’t see any improvement" he complained bitterly.

"You won’t see any improvement, because we are not going to help you in any way" the second wise man replied.

"That is not our agreement. I promise to give you everything you asked for. You said you will take control for three years which I didn’t object" he fumed.

"We will take control after we revive it. That’s what we agreed on. That is like paying after service. So you haven’t lost anything" the third wise man took his time.

"But you sounded very confident the last time. You claimed you can do the impossible. Have you lost that power now? Or the connections you have with authority has been severed?" Anthony made mockery of them.

The three wise men laughed together.

"Is that why you failed to give detailed account of what happened the last time you came here? You didn’t mention that you were given a dose of your own poison before you start looking for a savior" the third wise man proclaimed.

"I am sorry for not telling you everything but you have to help me" Anthony resorted to begging. "If you do not help me, my company will collapsed, not only that. I will lose everything that I have" he moaned sadly.

"You didn’t know that when you were attacking Murray’s company?" the second wise man laughed at him. "We are not going to help you. Take your leave" he pointed to the way out for him
