Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 1831 - 1832: Xiang Yu’s Proposal Rejected
Eck followed closely behind Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan as they ran toward another small hill.
Despite his efforts to keep up with the two, they were so fast that they disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Eck was gasping for breath when he finally caught up, but by then Xiao Xuan was nowhere to be seen.
"Are you guys rabbits? How are you running so fast?" Eck panted, patting Tie Zhuzi on the shoulder.
"You think this is fast? You haven’t seen my brother Xiang Yu’s speed." Tie Zhuzi said with pride.
"That was the guy just now?" Eck asked with confusion.
"Of course, my brother Xiang Yu is invincible in terms of skills. Let me tell you, once there were ten people surrounding him, wanting to take his life. Can you guess what happened?" Tie Zhuzi described animatedly.
Eck shook his head in bewilderment, "Don’t brag, that’s ten people."
"Who’s bragging? At that time, Brother Yu kicked two people flying and then pulled out a dagger ’swish swish,’ taking down all ten in the blink of an eye." Tie Zhuzi said with excitement.
"Is he really that good?" Eck, though skeptical, was convinced that this Xiang Yu was quite skilled.
"You can see for yourself another day." Tie Zhuzi winked at him.
Over on Xiang Yu’s side, Sirvi was initially full of confidence. Although there were ten vehicles coming their way, as long as they caught them by surprise, taking them down wouldn’t be a problem.
However, when those dozen vehicles reached the foot of the hill, they didn’t proceed as expected but instead stopped there.
A group of armed men got out of the cars, with guns ready, and quickly charged up the hill.
"What’s going on? It’s not armored vehicles." Sirvi was surprised to see this.
Their intel suggested that there would be armored vehicles passing through here, and their task was to intercept them.
But now it seemed that these people were well-prepared, seemingly targeting them specifically.
"Not good, it’s the Vulture Group. Prepare for battle." Sirvi shouted with tension.
Upon hearing it was the Vulture Group, everyone became alert and took cover, ready for combat.
"I see a lot of them coming, and they have advanced weapons. We should call for backup," Xiang Yu said, looking at Sirvi.
Sirvi snorted coldly, "If you’re scared, just hide on the side, don’t get in our way."
Seeing Sirvi’s stubbornness, Xiang Yu had no choice but to find cover himself.
Xia Cheng was always by Xiang Yu’s side. Others might not know Xiang Yu’s prowess, but he did.
In his view, staying with Xiang Yu was the safest bet.
"Xiang Yu, maybe we should retreat. I checked earlier, we can get down from the south side of the hill. Let’s not concern ourselves with these ****," Xia Cheng anxiously suggested.
Xiang Yu ignored him and stayed silent in his hiding spot.
Xia Cheng thought Xiang Yu didn’t understand, so he tugged on Xiang Yu’s arm and said, "We have a chance to escape now. Soon, we won’t even have that chance."
"Shut up," Xiang Yu shouted in frustration.
Just then, some people began rushing up from below.
"Fire!" Sirvi ordered immediately.
They had the advantage of high ground and large rocks for cover, making it easy to fight.
On Tie Zhuzi’s side, the two were absorbed in conversation until they heard gunshots, and Eck raised his gun, ready to charge forward.
"Don’t act rashly," Tie Zhuzi quickly pulled him back.
"What are you doing?" Eck asked in confusion, "There’s already fighting over there; we need to support them."
Eck was a bit anxious, thinking Tie Zhuzi intended to stay out of it.
"Brother Yu hasn’t given the order yet. Just wait patiently," Tie Zhuzi said, pulling him down to crouch.
"Is he really that amazing?" Eck doubted.
"Trust me, just wait here patiently," Tie Zhuzi replied calmly.
Sirvi’s people were very brave and obviously a tough group.
"Shoot them hard, kill them all," Sirvi shouted.
Their opponents’ fire wasn’t strong, and after a brief rush, they retreated. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Watching them flee, Sirvi sneered with disdain and glanced in the direction where Xiang Yu was hiding, "See, that’s the stuff from Little Ba, what a joke."
Xiang Yu heard Sirvi’s mockery clearly, but instead of getting angry, he calmly stood up, "This first wave was definitely to test our firepower and gauge our numbers."
"Bah, if you’re scared, just say so. Don’t make up excuses," Sirvi retorted disdainfully.
Not wanting to argue, Xiang Yu told those around him, "Everyone, conserve your ammo, aim for a hit with every shot. I fear they aim to deplete our resources."
Some nodded in agreement; Xiang Yu’s reasoning made sense. They sensed the opposing side was probing rather than launching a full assault.
"What do you know about warfare?" Sirvi mocked, "They’re just scared. Later, follow my orders and fight hard, no one can back down."
"They’re rushing again," someone shouted.
All were on high alert, readying themselves for the fight.
This time, the attackers charged aggressively with deafening shouts.
"Fire hard!" Sirvi shouted, leading with a submachine gun, "bang bang bang."
Seeing their leader’s boldness, others followed suit, standing atop rocks and firing below.
However, half the group listened to Xiang Yu’s advice, reserving fire unless they had a clear shot.
After a while, they realized they only heard a lot of noise from below but saw few targets.
"Leader, I’m down to my last magazine."
"Me too."
They had been so caught up in the shooting that they used up a lot without much thought.
Seeing the enemy’s low casualties, panic began to set in.
Sirvi checked his own ammo, finding it nearly depleted. If the enemy charged now, they might be overrun.
That’s when he recalled Xiang Yu’s earlier advice. Xiang Yu hadn’t even fired a shot from his hiding spot.
Furious, Sirvi stormed over, dragging Xiang Yu out by the collar, "Tell me, did you bring these people here? You’re a spy," Sirvi accused angrily.
Xiang Yu chuckled disdainfully, unfazed by the accusation. To him, Sirvi was like a mad dog.
"Leader, don’t be rash. They don’t seem like the type," someone intervened.
Xi’er had already given them advice, but Sirvi hadn’t listened.
"What now?" Sirvi shouted, shoving Xiang Yu.
"I think we should call for backup immediately," someone suggested.
Despite his reluctance, Sirvi nodded...
