Yujun’s POV

The other man at the door has the brightest smile on his face, completely proud of himself.

"Mom, seriously!" Jaehyun whines and shakes his head.

"We love transparency in this house" Yeon says and holds one hand up as he comes into the room, he places the tray on the table before looking at me carefully, "move" he says to his son and Jaehyun moves out of the way to let him through.

"Baby, how are you feeling?" Yeon asks me softly, my omega purrs at the tender title he addressed me with as he presses his palm to my forehead and hum.

"I just feel pains, but it’s not too much" I say honestly, blushing at the soft way he’s attending to me, touching and examining me like I’m his own pup.

This man is a luna who deserves to be luna more than anyone else.

And as if to remind us of the reason mom came in here, Haeri starts to cry again, her small mouth opens and closes in a pout.

I look startled at Yeon and Jaehyun chuckles again, I can’t wait to be strong enough to punch him in the guts.

"Aigoo, little Haeri needs to eat" Yeon coos, looking down at her with so much adoration, he picks the bottle and checks the temperature.

"Here, feed her" Yeon says with a nod and hands the bottle to me, I stare at it with a silly fear, I don’t know how to hold a baby, how will I know how to feed one?

"Mom" I say with a small voice.

"Don’t be scared baby, just do it this way" he says and assists me by putting the nipple of the bottle into her mouth.

Haeri latches on to it immediately and starts to suck, I watch with wonder at the way her eyes slip shut as she feeds and it’s funny how focused she is. She must really like her meals.

"She eats so well" Yeon mom says with a clap, and I nod.

The room goes silent and all three of us keep our eyes on the feeding pup, she effortlessly holds our attention like she’s the center of our world...and maybe she is.

"Oh look! She’s done feeding" Jaehyun says with laughter at how quickly she took all the milk from her bottle.

"Eat a lot hmm, you need to avenge me, Jaehyun barely gave me time to sleep when he was a pup" Yeon says in baby talk to Haeri and Jaehyun gasps dramatically. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"I wasn’t that bad" he defends himself and his mom gives him a ’really?’ look that shuts him up.

I laugh softly but wince at the pain in my lower belly.

"I think we need to let Yujun have some rest" Yeon says as he takes the bottle from my hand, my hands are starting to shake, I’m tired already.

"Darling, get all the rest you need, hmm?" he says to me and I nod, "would you like me to take little miss red?" he asks and I laugh before handing the baby to her grandmother.

Little miss red.

"If you feel anything odd, call for me, okay? Your health is still fragile so don’t hesitate" he says in a stern tone and I nod, "yes mom, I will"

"No matter how small it is, just make sure you call" he adds before leaving with Haeri.

Once it’s just me and my alpha, I relax completely against the headboard, tired already.

"How do you feel?"

"Happy, satisfied, tired" I list and he runs his fingers through my hair.

The action is slow, as if he wants to make sure I’m here, my omega whines as his feeling come flooding in through our bond; happiness, excitement but prominently worry.

"Come lay with me" I say and lay down, the alpha takes off his jacket and climbs in with me, gathering my body carefully into his.

I sigh softly and melt further into him.

"You feel so worried" I point out and he doesn’t say a word, "Jaehyun..." I call his name.

"I thought I would die when they told me you died" I say and his worry grows stronger, "I really was going to die...but you’re here and it means the world to me" I whisper and place my hand on his cheek.

My alpha closes his eyes and just feels the warmth of my palm on his face.

"I’m glad you’re here and I want you here forever" I say to him, and he opens his eyes.

I hold his gaze, looking him deeply in the eyes to show him just how much I mean my words.

"Fuck...five months ago I never would have imagined you saying these words" he says and snuggles into my palm.

"I’m doing good, aren’t I?" I ask.

"Perfect" he responds with a flash of his alpha eyes.

My mind drifts to Haeri and her red eyes, what does this mean for us now? More war? More trouble?

"You’re drifting bunny, come back to me" he says and I blink twice.

"I can’t get Haeri’s eyes out of my head, Jaehyun" I confess and he turns his head slightly and his stubble scrapes my hand, he hums softly before answering me.

"It’s a gift Junnah, Haeri is gifted like you are...and if Chan is the monster he is, that’s just him and not the gift...never the gift" he says and I nod.

He’s right.

I’m a male omega and so is Yeon mom...but somehow Yeon makes it more beautiful than I can ever make it.

A gift is a gift.

"I can’t wait to see how she grows" I say with quiet excitement.

"I can tell you one thing, you have gotten yourself another Jaehyun" the alpha laughs softly and I push him away weakly, "that’s a lie"

"Wait till you see her fighting against getting dressed, oh and how she reacts when she’s not satisfied with her meal" Jaehyun says laughing.

Less than a week old and already making this big impact? Yes, that’s Hwang Jaehyun’s daughter.

"If you feel outnumbered, you can always get a new mini Yujun" the alpha coos and I jab him in the rib.

"Do you hate living?"

"No, I just love loving you my precious" he says and leans in to press our lips together in a soft kiss.

Our first kiss in a long time.

It feels good to be home.
