Yujun’s POV

"Aren’t you tired of it? Cause I am!" a female voice cries out and it pulls me out of the dreamless darkness I have been floating in.

My head hurts.

"Call the damn taxi, you will do what I tell you" an older male voice responds aggressively.

I hear arguments as I come to my senses, this place is dark and smells wet, the air is suffocating and I can’t help the way I am struggling to breathe.

The argument keeps getting louder and I sit up to listen, realizing that I’m in a type of van and the people arguing are my older half-sister and my dad.

"Dad! I said it stops now, don’t you have a heart?" Yubin noona yells, and she sounds like she’s crying, something I have never seen her do all my life.

"You will do what I say" my father yells back, I hear a smack and Yubin’s scream, pure terror runs through my veins as I sit up further, another smacking noise is heard and Yubin’s attempt at growling turns into a scream.

Father has never hit Yubin before...even when he was annoyed with her once, she was only told not to show her face for some days.

"Why are you doing this? Am I not enough?" Yubin asks loudly in pain, this is too much, father hitting Yubin and Yubin crying?

"I have lived a long life, I have seen lines and lines of strong alphas from my bloodlines and never have the Chois been this embarrassed" father says and another smack follows, I pull my body forward to get out and stop them, but I realized that my arms are tied behind my back.

"DAD!" Yubin screams.

"You were my favorite, tsk, I might reconsider giving you the throne" father says with a snarl, I can hear him breathing heavily as Yubin breaks into a sob.

"You were never going to give me the throne anyway!" she yells and my heart clenches for her, she sounds completely devastated and like she has given up.

"I do all these hard works, and you keep me going because you know I want your validation" she says and I hear her sniffles, she’s not holding back now, I tug again to leave but I can’t, the rope is too tight.

"My validation? Of course you need my validation, you are a daughter and must seek my approvals" father says with pride.

"So my fault is being born a girl?" Yubin asks quietly and father doesn’t respond to her question; he jabs at her instead "why are you suddenly acting like you are a saint now?" father asks.

"I’m not a saint, I will never claim to be, but this is too much" she says and I try to get out again, "the council will judge you and put your insanity to rest, dad, it’s enough" Yubin says.

"You know you have a hand, don’t you? if the council judges me, you will be part" father says and Yubin noona lauds, "yes! Yes, I know and I am ready to pay for damaging that innocent boy" she says.

Is Yubin defending me?

"It’s sickening...yeah I enjoyed it, I wanted the throne, but...I saw him at the Hwangs...he was different" she says and I hear her muffled, "Yes, I am selfish and yes I regret it all now"

"That’s fine, you’ll go to heaven with him since you are that desperate to be a savior" father roars and I hear a scream as he hits her again.

"NOONA!" I yell, fighting to get out of the confines of the rope holding my hands together, but each struggle only makes the rope to rub more into my skin.

"Yubin noona!" I call again.

Dad will kill her if no one intervenes!

"Yubin!" my father’s loud shout reaches my ears followed by the thud of a body to the floor, and then the door of the van is opened.

I prepare for the worse, but when I look up, I see my older half-sister, her face is bloodied swollen from being hit by our father.

She enters the van and unties me, she is still crying as she does and then she takes the rope to my father while I follow her, shaking and confused.

"I will kill you!" father yells, he’s on the floor crawling backwards to get away from Yubin but she keeps going forward.

"You have done that all your life, dad, there is no other death that will hurt than what you’ve already done" she says and forces him to stay in place, she twists his arms to the back and ties him up.

"CHOI YUBIN" he screams her name as she forces him up and throws him into the van.

I just stand there watching the entire ordeal with surprise, and the female alpha collapses against the door, her body shakes with the sobs that leaves her mouth.

Her usual composed and icy mannerism is nowhere to be found as she breaks down in front of me.

"N-noona..." call and she looks at me from over her shoulder, glaring at me with red alpha eyes, "this is why you get hurt by dad the most...you’re too kind" she says and wipes her face with back of her hand, smearing snot across her face carelessly.

"Get in the van, drive us back to the council home" she says and leaves to get into the front seat of the van, my thoughts are slow as I move to the driver seat.

I don’t know anywhere in the place and knowing that, Yubin set up the GPS, "go left" she says tiredly.

"Noona...what are you doing?" I ask and she shakes her head.

"I’m doing what’s right and...and it hurts but I have to do it" she says and I keep my eyes on the road as I hit the brake, sending both of us forward and my dad screams from inside the van.

I can’t.

"We don’t have to do this, you- you can just go back home, and I’ll return to the council, tell them this is a misunderstanding" I say and she gives me a hard slap across the face, the slaps causes my head to whip to the side with force and I growl at her.

"Don’t be foolish, I might get to the middle of the road and change my mind...and dad? He will kill you" she says and tucks her hands between her laps looking weak suddenly.

"I took poison" she says and I open my mouth to speak, "I still hate you don’t get it wrong" she says and a tear runs down her face.

"Dad loved me, dad..." she says and starts to cry again, "noona, I can take you to a hospital, we can get some help" I say, still hoping that there is something that can be done.

"Don’t be stupid" she says again and leans back on the seat, with her lips clamped her shut while the tears keep running.

I keep driving and following the GPS till I arrive at the council building.

There are already people waiting outside in panic, they seem to be looking for me and as soon as I drive in, they turn their attentions to me.

"There he is!" someone yells and Yubin gets out first, "we kidnapped him! We were going to kill him, but I changed my mind" she says with her hands up.

"That’s the one that hit me" the female guard that had taken me to the room says as they grab my noona and twist her hands behind her back, "Yujun-ah! Tell my husband he’s free now and that I’m sorry" she says as she is dragged away.

Yubin keeps her eyes fixed on me and her lips pressed in a thin line to keep away the tears, and with each small distance put between us, I feel myself crumbling.

"Yujun, Yujun my son, think about this...huh, I am your father" father says when he’s brought out of the van and the elder that had been kind to me comes to stand between me and my father.

"Did you consider that before ruining the boy like that?" the elder asks and my legs go weak with exhaustion.

"Judgement has been finalized, and they will be imprisoned for life" he says and father roars, he sounds rabid as he tries to attack the elder, but the elder stands still without flinching despite my father’s mad display.

"The Choi clan will be yours, prepare to prove that you are worthy to be lord" the elder says to me and I nod, unsure but ready, and the man looks at me with soft eyes. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"You have done omegas proud, especially hidden male ones" he says and flashes his own blue eyes at me, making my jaw drop.

A male omega...we are many?

He gives me a half smile before flicking his wrist for me to be taken back to my room with some guards.

At my dismissal father kicks and screams but I don’t look back, I won’t hold it against him, but I won’t tie the chains around myself again.

I get back to the room and rush to pick up the phone provided by the council and I dial blindly.

"Hello?" Jaehyun’s soothing comes through and I let out a relieved sob, "my alpha" I say and I hear him sitting up and Haeri’s baby noise.

"Junnah, baby" he breathes out.

"We won, I’m coming home" I cry into the phone.
