After his presumed death, Hermes found his own soul drifting across a river of darkness and the void, only to be suddenly stopped from drifting away into nothingness, by a presence that seemed to defy Reality itself.

Two massive, spiraling crimson eyes were glaring at his Soul, inspecting his very being. Hermes felt completely paralyzed by its diving, otherworldly presence. It was even more bizarre, because this intimidating entity had the tender voice of a mother.

"To think my dear Asmodeus would so willingly give away his Vampiric Power to a punny human like you… It's almost adorable how soft he has grown~!"

"W-Wha…?! Who… what's happening?!"

Hermes felt like he was now falling into an endless abyss, her eyes only becoming closer and closer, until he looked down, and they were there too, everywhere.

SPLASH!

He suddenly fell over a pool of pure blood, drowning and swallowing the sweet and iron taste of blood, making him gag.

"Uuggh…! AAGGH…!"

As he struggled and agonized, she watched, her eyes watching, her mouth smiling, her hands moving around, suddenly…

They grabbed him.

"Aah!"

He glanced to the skies again, something was holding him, it had the silhouette of a beautiful and voluptuous woman, with wide hips, and large breasts, long hair, and those red eyes.

Until her body became clearer, and he realized that wasn't a woman, her silhouette suddenly gave birth to a monstrosity taking her form.

Made out of endless red tentacles, fleshy organs and other strange body parts merged together and wrapped into a single thing.

Her eyes and mouths were everywhere across her body, and what seemed to be her hair, were just a bunch of long tentacles, and so were her arms, and even her hands and fingers.

"W-What the hell?! Aaaahhh!"

Hermes, who was so calm, screamed in horror after seeing her, despite her not doing anything to him, which only made her angry.

"Hmph, such a lack of manners… Are you not mesmerized by my beauty?"

"M-My eyes, they're melting! I can't hear my mind anymore! What's going on?!"

Hermes was beginning to fall into insanity the more he watched her true being.

She sighed, quickly pulling him back to where he came from.

"Asmodeus truly does strange things sometimes… But well, when hasn't he entertained me? You, whom he had put so much trust into… Show me what you can do."

Hermes suddenly felt like his soul was traveling through space and time, countless stars around him were being born and then exploding, dying.

"T-This is…! My head…! Uuaaaggh!"

As he screamed in horror as his mind was simply unable to comprehend the vastness of the universe and the extradimensional being he met, he felt…

Back to his body!

"Ugh?! I-I didn't die?!"

He indeed never died, and what he experienced wasn't the afterlife either.

It was, much like how Emilia went through, a vision.

Of the "owner" of the ability Blake granted to him.

After all, with the White Dragon's Wrath, this was a Skill born from Bestellen's soul.

And Blake's Vampiric Powers, where were they born but not from the origin of all Vampires?

The Abyssal Mother of Blood and Agony.

"You're now a Vampire, and not a simple one… Vampires can regenerate their bodies even when they're torn to shreds, did you know? But you'll need fuel for that, drink the blood of anything to regain power, child. You'll need it if you want to beat that cosmic beast."

Her voice resonated once more within his head, making him go through an immense and extreme headache, but these words were etched into his mind.

And then, she disappeared, to never speak to him ever again.

"Haaahh… Haahh…! I can… regenerate?"

As he thought about that, he saw a giant, multi-armed and muscular humanoid Xenoid Titan covered in white bone armor laughing as he beat down Hermes.

"GRAHAHAHA! DEAD! AND ALL OF YOU HUMANS ARE NEXT!"

As the brainless son of Agonitias laughed, suddenly, something rushed from above him, striking his face and shattering the bones covering it.

CRAAASH!

"GUUGH?!"

The monster glared furiously as his attacker, a huge monster made of black bones, constantly roaring madly and furiously.

"P-Patrick?!"

Hermes looked at Patrick appear, as he began to fight Agonitias' son head-on, their fists clashing against one another without even saying another word, both were crazy.

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

Agonitias son's armor began shattering into pieces, but Patrick was also taking more damage, his entire body fragmenting into pieces, as he constantly lost arms and legs, only for them to regrow out of his body.

However, it seemed that alone, Patrick was struggling, Agonitias' son was simply too tough, even without the armor, even his bare skin, which was scaled, was immensely hard, and so were his muscles and bones.

"Regeneration… I need to… regenerate…!"

Hermes gritted his metallic teeth, as he rapidly concentrated, trying to find a way…

Until…

FLUOSH!

The blood and metal that had been torn apart from him began moving on its own, rapidly interconnecting back again, reassembling, and then merging back into his torso.

CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!

"I-It truly works?!"

Hermes was left speechless as his biomechanical body was back to normal! He had truly regenerated, and his regeneration seemed different than Patrick too.

"Now I'm back, the sword… I need- no, wait."

He quickly thought that blade wouldn't cut it, he needed something else.

He quickly rushed towards Agonitias' son, as he manifested the powers he could control.

Somehow, they came to him much more easily now, it was as if that vision he went through heightened his ability to control these vampiric powers.

The corpses of nearby Xenoids began twisting around, as their blood rushed towards him, rapidly being condensed into long crimson spears, spiraling around.

"I can truly control blood…!"

As he was within range, he fired the projectiles without hesitating, at the same time as the Xenoid hit Patrick with immense strength.

BAAAAM!

Patrick's armored layers shattered one after another, as he was sent flying hundreds of kilometers away.

"HAHAHAHA! NOT BAD, BUT TOO FRAIL! NOW I SHALL-"

CRASH! CRASH! CRAHS! CRASH!

Before he realized it, his body was pierced by dozens of gigantic, long spears made of the blood of his brethren.

"UGH…?!"
