Chapter 195: Beginner or Advanced

"How... do I look?" Lilia softly asked, her lips pressing together.

Zethan’s lips curled into a smile as he spoke gently,

"I would want to say gorgeous, but that word is an understatement when describing you, my wife."

Lilia’s cheeks flushed as her heart leapt with excitement. She turned her face to the side.

"My husband just knows how to hype me well, huh?"

"True hype for my wife," he replied as he walked toward her. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

"Not to mention the beautiful tattoo marks I drew on you last night."

Lilia’s face turned scarlet—she knew exactly what he was talking about.

"You..." Her words caught in her throat as Zethan gently scooped her up into his arms. A soft gasp escaped her lips.

"Mhm," he hummed in response.

Lilia’s words were cut short again as the door opened and a soft breeze swept through, pushing her hair backward. She gasped softly as the sound of the ocean’s gentle waves crashing echoed around them. Zethan set her down just as they reached the main area, and the moment Lilia’s foot touched the sand, her body melted with ecstasy. She turned around slowly, wanting to feel more of the soft sand beneath her bare feet.

Zethan simply watched her. Her smile alone brought a wide grin to his lips. She twirled once more before running toward the ocean. His eyes followed her curved back, eventually resting on her bottom that wiggled softly with each step.

She turned to him, her hair flying, and gracefully tucked it behind her ears. She held out her hand.

"Come on, Zethan, this is fun," she urged.

Zethan’s lips curled up into a smile as he walked toward where she stood. She reached out, expecting him to place his hand in hers.

TAA!

A soft slap landed on her butt cheeks, making her jump slightly as they jiggled.

Her face burned with embarrassment as Zethan entwined his hand with hers, his lips still curled in amusement.

"You... bad man," she said quickly, turning around with a pout.

"You don’t have to worry—we’re the only ones here. Do you think I’d let you wear a bikini in front of others? Tch, never."

He spoke with a hint of possessiveness in his tone.

Lilia gulped, unable to hide her surprise.

"Isn’t that a bit..." She wanted to say too much, but deep down she knew she herself couldn’t bring herself to wear something like this in front of others either.

"Let’s just say I’m already obsessed with you, sweetheart," he murmured huskily.

Lilia managed to shift her gaze, focusing on the horizon where the sun was already beginning to set. She walked further, her hand still connected to his.

She finally stepped into the water, moving her legs gently as the cool ocean wrapped around her. Then she turned toward Zethan and said,

"Zethan, do this—it’s really, really nice. Check it out."

She giggled as she ran her hand through the sandy water. Who would have thought a day like this would come—where she and Zethan could share a moment like this together?

Zethan stepped forward, easing his leg into the water. His eyes quietly followed Lilia’s movements as she tried shaping something from the wet sand.

He moved closer and gently placed his hands on her shoulders. They looked at each other as Zethan whispered softly,

"Can you swim?"

Lilia shook her head. She couldn’t—not yet.

His voice came again, softer this time.

"Fine then... let me teach you now."

She turned and looked up at him, her eyes searching his. When he touched her, a shiver of excitement ran through her. She bit her lip softly, anticipation blooming in her chest.

"Let’s go," Zethan said quietly.

Lilia lifted her head, her eyes meeting his. There was a flicker of fear in them.

Zethan’s voice was calm and steady.

"You don’t have to be scared, Loris. I’m with you."

Maybe it was the way he said it—or maybe just the truth in his voice—but her fear slowly faded, replaced by something else: trust.

Lilia watched as they bothwalked further into the ocean. Then he turned and said with a teasing lilt,

"Maybe we should stop here. One more step and—well, we wouldn’t want the ocean swallowing you up, would we, my wife?"

Lilia shot him a glare, but he only chuckled softly. The teasing in his voice echoed in her head, and despite herself, she couldn’t help but smile.

"Since you’re a newbie, let’s start with the basics—like holding your breath underwater," Zethan said gently.

Lilia pouted softly.

"But I want to swim."

Zethan looked at her with dark amusement. Did she really think it was that simple? He could see the impatience dancing in her eyes.

"Oh sweetheart, you’re just a beginner. I’d be a terrible instructor if I skipped to the advanced stuff," he said softly.

Lilia narrowed her eyes.

"Why do I feel like you’re just using this to tease me?"

Zethan shook his head, a faint smirk tugging at his lips.

"I’m not."

"Oh, you— that smirk says it all," Lilia teased.

Zethan grinned and shrugged.

"Be a good girl, and let’s begin."

He lowered himself, one hand resting gently on her flat tummy, the other supporting her back. Lilia’s eyes widened at the sudden closeness.

"Don’t be tense, sweetheart. I’m here with you. Just relax, okay?" he whispered.

As Lilia let her body go limp, trusting him, Zethan held her steady.

"Good," he murmured as she floated with his help.

Then he mumbled just loud enough for her to hear,

"Why do I feel like I’m the one doing all the work?"

She gasped in mock offense, her lips parting.

"Excuse you! I’m floating here with full concentration."

Zethan chuckled, the sound low and rich.

"Right, my bad. Floating with full concentration... such hard work indeed."

Lilia giggled, kicking her legs softly as she started to get comfortable on the water. Zethan’s lips stretched into a wide smile.

"Raise your hand, Loris," he whispered gently.

Lilia obeyed, slowly lifting her hand as she watched him curiously.

"Above your head, sweetheart," he urged, and she followed his instructions.

A slow smile tugged at his lips.

"Now, move your legs—just wriggle them slowly."

Lilia did exactly as he said. Zethan nodded approvingly.

"Perfect."

But before she could enjoy the praise, Zethan suddenly began to chuckle.

Lilia shot him a glare. This wasn’t a joke—but clearly, he was having a great time. His laughter only grew as he gently guided her back up.

"Zethan... don’t tell me—" she narrowed her eyes at him, realizing the truth.

Instead of properly teaching her to swim, he had made her wriggle like a dying fish—and now he was laughing.

He was getting way too much fun out of this.

She tried to frown seriously, but the smile on his face was contagious. Her lips twitched.

"And here I thought I was actually getting the hang of it," she muttered, half embarrassed, half in disbelief.

Zethan clutched his stomach, still laughing. Lilia pressed her lips into a tight line.

"Please focus and teach me properly," she huffed, trying to sound annoyed. But the irritation didn’t last—not with Zethan standing in front of her, smiling like that.

She couldn’t believe this man.

"Okay, no more play. Let’s focus," Zethan said as Lilia crossed her arms over her chest.

"You focus... remember how you used me to test your email experiment?"

Zethan grinned wide.

"Oh wife, you looked so cute. You needed to see your face—the way you thought you were doing it right without even realizing..."

He paused. The look on her face warned him: one more word and she’d be the one punishing him—and she clearly already had something in mind.

"Okay, no jokes," he said quickly.

Lilia nodded, though the glint still danced in his eyes. But the seriousness finally settled in. He moved his hands to her back and tummy once more, gently lying her down on the water. His large frame hovered protectively above her, his eyes flickering to the subtle movement of her breast beneath the bikini.

She looked so alluring, he couldn’t help but gulp lightly.

"Don’t be tense, like I said earlier. Be free. You don’t have to worry—I’m teaching you now."

She nodded and shut her eyes, trying not to think.

"Perfect..." Zethan whispered as he slowly removed his hands.

"Zethan... am I doing it?" she asked softly.

Zethan’s lips curled into a proud smile.

"Yes. Free yourself... just like that. Great job." Something about the way she moved made him pause—this wife of his was a fast learner. The way she had gotten it so quickly genuinely surprised him.

And she did it perfectly.

He had no idea this would turn out to be less simple than he thought.

Lilia opened her eyes to smile at him—

But just as she turned her head, she realized...

He wasn’t holding her.

He had let go.

Her eyes flew wide. She had thought he was still there.

Panic hit.

And before she knew it—her body dropped into the ocean.
