Villain Simulator-Chapter 109: The Creepy Sensation!
’What’s happening?!’
The urgent situation made my heart pound loudly in my chest. But before I could even think of how to respond to this sudden change, the creepy feeling disappeared into thin air.
’Huh?’
It was like a winter breeze melting into the summer heat, and I might have dismissed it as a hallucination if not for my bloodshot eyes and my forehead covered with cold sweat, especially when Rachael had just wiped it dry.
"Master! What happened?!"
From the corner of my eye, I saw Charlotte suddenly rush to my side. She touched my forehead, her brows furrowed, and concern was apparent in her voice.
"Is everything all right? Are you not feeling well?"
Her warm touch helped me restore my sense of stability, and I regained my composure.
Observing her reaction and her apparent lack of awareness of whatever bizarre transpired moments ago, I concluded that the source of that eerie feeling was unlikely to be external.
Taking a deep breath, I assured her.
"Haah...! I am fine, Charlotte."
She nodded hesitantly, retracted her hands, and stepped back, though she was still visibly worried.
"Master, why don’t you just rest today?"
She suggested it with a gentle yet persistent voice.
My lips parted, and I almost rejected her idea out of habit, but I paused before the words escaped my mouth. Then, after giving it a moment’s consideration, I nodded.
"... You know what? You’re right, let’s skip dungeon today, but we still have to deal with those girls we have held captive in the warehouse... Call Daisy and tell her to leave work for the day and stay at home. We will leave once I am done resting."
"Yes, Master."
Charlotte jumped cheerfully, a bright smile illuminating her face, clearly delighted that I had agreed to her suggestion.
Following that, Charlotte quickly pulled out her phone, instructed Daisy, and turned to leave with me.
However, just as we began to depart, I remembered something and called out to her softly, in a low voice.
"Charlotte."
"Yes Master?" She paused and turned to look at me.
"Tell me something honestly. What do you think about Rachael?"
"Rachael? What about her?"
She tilted her head in confusion, waiting for me to clarify.
"I mean, her behavior—have you felt any change in her? You’re an assassin-type player, so have your senses reacted to something abnormal around her?"
I explained, and Charlotte furrowed her brows in contemplation before shaking her head.
"Hmm, honestly, I haven’t sensed anything off. Rachael seems perfectly normal to me. Same naïve and cute... Master, is something wrong with her? Should I keep an eye on her? Or should I..."
Charlotte didn’t continue further; instead, she made the gesture of wiping her neck with her thumb with a ruthless, determined glint in her eyes.
Her intentions as my shadow were clear, and for a moment, I was taken aback by her proposal. But the idea of harming Rachael didn’t even cross my mind.
"No!"
I outright rejected Charlotte with an unwavering tone.
"Unless they seek their own death, I won’t let any harm come to those I cherish; if the push comes to shove and I have to fight the world all alone, I shall and will do it. For Rachael and for you too, Charlotte. You are precious to me."
Charlotte’s eyes widened upon hearing my sudden declaration. She bit her lower lip, her head hung down silently, and her thoughts remained a mystery to me.
Observing her reaction, I was reassured that she understood my message. Satisfied, I swiftly shifted the mood with a playful reprimand.
"... And you, idiot, why do you always resort to extreme measures? Killing isn’t the only solution to every problem you know."
Then, giving her a light flick on her forehead to bring her out of her reverie, I ordered her to leave.
"Let’s go now. Go and rest; I will call you once something comes up."
"Um..."
Soon, we exited the training ground, and Charlotte and I parted ways as we headed back to our respective rooms.
Despite my attempt to downplay the seriousness while talking to Charlotte, my mind remained tense and preoccupied with thoughts of the strange "weirdness" surrounding Rachael.
To be honest, Rachael seemed to already be within my grasp, and I was confident that with just a little more effort, I could bind her with a Soul-Bound Contract.
However, this progress hadn’t unfolded entirely according to my plan.
In fact, the strategy to win her over was supposed to succeed a few days later, but somehow it worked so perfectly that I was able to make her mine last night.
’I got lucky again.’
Yet, there was no joy on my face.
The more fortunate I became and the more unusual situations arose with Rachael, the colder my heart grew. I knew that today’s luck could easily turn into tomorrow’s misfortune.
This wasn’t just a fleeting thought, but a conclusion drawn from my past experiences.
’But what is causing these changes, and what was that creepy feeling?’
I didn’t have the answers, and even if I did, I couldn’t recall them.
Returning to my room, I sank into the sofa comfortably, opened a drawer I hadn’t touched in a while, and, retrieving a cigarette, I lit it after placing it between my lips.
"Haaah… Phew…"
Inhaling deeply, I allowed the dense white smoke to escape slowly as my mind plunged into deep retrospection.
Tap... Tap... Tap... Tap...
My index finger continued to tap on the glass table, and with every puff of smoke, my mind retrieved an assortment of Rachael-related memories, which I then matched to my current situation in an effort to predict what the future was holding.
In such a manner, time passed, seconds turned into minutes, and I finished my first cigarette.
"Rachael... Rape… Illness… Mother... "
The second cigarette soon followed suit.
"Father… Character... Witch... Awakening... Despair..."
The third cigarette joined the others in the ash, leaving only their filters behind in the ash tray.
Eventually, I ceased smoking and closed my eyes, focusing all my attention inward while shutting out the outside world completely, and it was only after what felt like an eternity that my mind made a crucial connection.
"... Empress... Traitor...Chaos... Ruby...Wait! Chaos! Chaos..."
My lips instinctively began to chant "Chaos" like a spell, even with my eyes closed, until...
"Chaos, Chaos, Chaos... My God!"
My eyes snapped open, and I rose from my seat in shock at my conjecture, though my expression remained controlled due to my Composure (A).
Yet a fierce intensity burned in my eyes.
Though it took time, I finally recalled a minute detail that I had overlooked, a detail that caused me to make an absurd speculation.
However, speculation was just that—a speculation, and I refrained from drawing any immediate conclusions.
"I can’t be sure yet; I need to verify first."
Without hesitation or further delay, I retrieved my phone, summoned Charlotte and Daisy, and swiftly made my way to the warehouse with them, located in an abandoned area far outside the city.
Inside, the sight that greeted me was grim. The two women—Ashley and the supervisor—lay unconscious, bound with metal chains to a pole.
Compared to their former lively selves, they now appeared worse than beggars: emaciated, battered, bloodied, and bruised.
Their clothes were torn and soiled, evidence of the unimaginable torment they endured for the past few days.
However, their current state mattered little to me as long as they remained alive and intact to fulfil my plans.
Thankfully, the guards I stationed here had already cleaned them up to some extent before my arrival, lessening any disdain or disgust I might have felt during the next set of actions I would take.
Satisfied with their condition, I turned to Charlotte.
"Charlotte, remind Ms. Sharon to reward the guards outside generously when we return."
"Yes, Master."
With a nod to Charlotte, I gestured for Daisy to approach.
"Daisy, come here; give me your hand."
She complied silently, offering her hand, which I took in mine. With my other hand, I grasped the head of the girls’ group’s leader, Ashley, and focused.
[Skill Activated: Chaos Medium]
My skill activated, and the familiar otherworldly sensation surged within me once again.
Under my touch, I could instinctively sense the restrained Chaos energy within Daisy; its quantity was significantly smaller than before. But for my purposes, this amount was sufficient.

[Ding! Skill: Mental Resistance (passive) is in effect.]
[Trait: Pride (A) refuses to bow down to Chaos energy]
[Trait: Composure (A) nullifies the Chaos’s effect on the host]
Simultaneously, my passive skills and traits sprang into action, resisting the mental erosion of Chaos energy on me. With a clear mind, I guided the Chaos energy within Daisy, directing it toward me and then channeling it directly into Ashley.
My intent was clear—to allow the Chaos energy to corrode her from within.
These two girls were like my ingredients, and I was injecting Chaos energy into them to prepare them ahead of time so that on the day of the event, when I would need them, they would be fully prepared to be served as a wonderful dish to their respective guilds.
’Hehe, I hope they appreciate my cooking; after all, those who harbour ill intentions towards me need to be treated kindly for their audacity.’
A ruthless gleam flickered in my eyes, and I refocused on the Chaos energy.
Under the influence of my skill, it responded as if drawn to me, coursing through my body like a wild surge of electricity, faster than I remembered.
’… this feeling!’
Following my guidance, it then quickly surged into Ashley’s head, which was held tightly in my left hand.
Ashley’s body absorbed the Chaos energy, but I didn’t inject all of it into her. After releasing her, I repeated the process with the supervisor, which took me more than half an hour.
"Done."
[Skill Deactivated: Chaos Medium]
Finally, the Chaos energy was completely depleted from Daisy, who had already fallen unconscious, a relieved expression on her face.
However, the faces of Ashley and her supervisor were in stark contrast to Daisy’s. Their expressions were ferocious, their bodies twitching as if in unimaginable pain, but I paid no heed to their suffering.
My attention was fixated on the faint, unfamiliar sensation I experienced when using my Chaos Medium. When I confirmed it wasn’t a hallucination, I couldn’t help but grin in my heart.
’I guessed it right... I have finally caught the corner; let me see what wind will blow on Rachael’s awakening, hehehe.’
Chuckling deviously in my heart, my eyes shone with brilliance, and my fists clenched involuntarily.
’Looks like I really need to have a good chat with my system if I want to maximize my profit.’
