Villain Simulator-Chapter 112: Overwhelming Defeat!
Standing atop a towering skyscraper, where the bustling city below resembled mere toys, I enjoyed the rush of wind alongside Charlotte.
"Refreshing."
It was always a pleasure to feel the morning breeze just before sunrise.
"Isn’t it, Charlotte?"
"Yes, Master. It is a good atmosphere for some bloodshed."
"Blood-shed? Do you think Adam will be killed?"
"Master, wouldn’t you agree?"
Looking at me attentively, Charlotte tilted her head in confusion before settling on the building’s edge, her legs dangling freely in the open air. Then she gazed at the spots where the Shadow Guards were hidden and spoke again.
"Not to be rude, Master, but with such a set-up, even I can only be killed helplessly, let alone a weakling like that guy who’s not even a high-level player. Even if he has some tricks up his sleeve, it’s just that everything is useless against overwhelming strength."
"Not rude at all, and you’re absolutely right."
I acknowledged her observation and ruffled her head affectionately, causing her to purr in contentment like a satisfied kitten.
Unfortunately, in this world, there was an existence called the protagonist who was like an unkillable cockroach when it came to survival. Especially this protagonist with cheats that made him almost immortal.
"Shall we make a bet, then? If you win, I’ll grant you one wish—anything you desire. And if I win, you must do the same."
I proposed it, but Charlotte rejected it without thinking twice.
"No, no, no, Master. If you want anything, you need only ask, and I will even gladly gouge out my heart for you."
"Hahaha, you idiot…"
Chuckling at her exaggerated response, I shook my head and scratched her head.
"Don’t be overdramatic, Duffer; there’s no fun in that. Besides, your heart is already with me, so what kind of nonsense are you talking about? Just tell me, wanna bet?"
Upon hearing those words, Charlotte’s eyebrows raised slightly, and a subtle smirk graced her lips as she delved into contemplation before responding.
"I don’t know how, but since you said so, I know I will lose. Still... I agree! It’s a bet... I want to see how this guy will survive tonight. Hehe."
"That’s it then, but if you dare to go back on your words, I will whoop your ass."
"Waaah! Not fair, Master."
The moment I made that threat, Charlotte’s body shivered, and she instinctively covered her ass with both hands, shifting a little away from me while remaining suspended on the railing.
Her actions were too adorable, but before I could tease her further...
"Ah... looks like it’s about to start."
I sensed movement, and turning my head, I spotted Adam at the entrance of a club. It seemed he had already finished killing the people inside and now wanted to go to his hideout for training, as usual.
However, just as he was about to turn around...
"Eeeeeeek!"
Out of nowhere, a shrill female screech came and pierced his ears, causing him to freeze in his tracks. The screech was shortly followed by an unknown demonic music that assaulted his senses from all sides, reverberating in a high-pitched and sharp tone like metal scraping.
"—AHHHHH—"
Adam screamed uncontrollably while covering his ears, but the music continued to play at the same volume as if to penetrate his mind directly.
"Laaa… alaah. Tip-toe through the window. By the window, that is where I’ll be. Come tiptoe through the tulips with meee...!!!"
"AHHHH…!!! Stop it…!!!"
It was a high-level mental attack, and despite Adam’s resistance to it, the overwhelming difference in level between him and the attacker made his consciousness dizzy, and the surrounding area started to distort around him, making him feel suffocated.
But it was then, when the mental attack reached its peak, that a sudden flash cut through the darkness.
Swish!
The dark purple light illuminated the scene, revealing a demonic-looking flying knife speeding towards Adam from the darkness of the shadows.
"Danger!"
Adam’s hair stood on end; his instincts warned him like never before, but luckily, he was barely able to react just in time with a quick, instinctive movement by twisting his body to the side and narrowly avoiding a potentially fatal blow.
Yet, even with his quick reflexes, he couldn’t escape unscathed.
"—AHHHH!!!"
The knife sliced deep into his flesh, leaving a gash above his elbow that rendered his left hand nearly useless.
Fortunately, the searing pain jolted him back to reality, and he heard a voice amidst the eerie silence.
"What a shame! I thought I would be able to kill you in one hit."
The disappointed voice snapped Adam back to attention, and he jumped back, taking a defensive posture while holding his injured hand and shouting into the darkness.
"Who’s there?!"
"Now calm down, boy. Why are you shouting at the old lady? Didn’t your parents teach you some manners?"
The mature female voice was like that of an old grandma scolding her young grandson, harsh but harmless. But Adam wasn’t fooled; he turned toward the source of the voice.
There, two figures stood before him, clad in golden robes adorned with the symbol of a red rose with thorns. Their faces were hidden behind plain white masks as they stood in the middle of the street.
One figure was taller than the other, and the shorter one seemed to be dragging a man’s body by its hair.
Since the dim lighting made it difficult for Adam to identify the man’s body, he ignored it and focused back on the two people.
These two were none other than Mrs. Thompson and Sylvia, dressed in special attire as per my orders, and it seemed that the protagonist was indeed fooled by their dresses, as he murmured to himself,
"People from Red Rose!"
But then, when everyone expected him to scold them or engage in a fight after assuming their identity, Adam clapped his hands; his body teleported 20 meters away instantly, and without hesitation, he turned and fled at full speed without looking back.
"Huh?"
Looking at his decisive set of actions, everyone was taken aback, but then they understood. This white-haired boy might be conceited, but he was not a fool who would fight with someone who had an overwhelming advantage over him.
Mrs. Thompson’s took a second to recover from her shock, and realizing that this boy was shrewder than she thought, she began to move her body earnestly this time, getting closer to Adam with each step she took, despite him using short burst teleportation continuously.
There was a difference in the sense of distance to judge accurately because I was watching from some distance away, but there was not much distance left between them by the time I jumped to another building and got a proper view.
"Nine meters... five... three... one."
And after a moment, as the distance between them almost vanished, the two of them didn’t even talk about anything, and Mrs. Thompson attacked directly.
Long story short, it was a one-sided beating by Mrs. Thompson, who wielded a cane against Adam’s sword.
"Young lad, I advise you to give us what you stole from the dungeon, or else the consequences will be disastrous for you."
Despite her offer, Adam remained silent, ignoring her completely.
Not only didn’t he trust her to spare him even if he complied, but he also had no intention of giving up what he had obtained to anyone.
He continued to back away from her, but his wounds began to accumulate. His blood was splattered, and his clothes were torn and mangled.
Of course, Adam also tried to counterattack midway through, but in the first place, the current him, even if more powerful than his peers, was too weak in the face of such a formidable opponent.

Furthermore, his old sword was already damaged in the dungeon, and he didn’t get the time to digest the rewards he acquired from it.
Still, should I say the main character was indeed the main character?
Occasionally, he made exquisite moves.
Unfortunately, they were unable to create any waves.
Anyway, how many minutes have passed?
Adam held out quite a bit, but he eventually collapsed, or that was what he pretended to be.
Because, in truth, although he was cornered, he still wasn’t at his wits end. But since dragging out the fight would only leave him helpless and in danger, he decided to launch one surprise ultimate attack, use it as bait to seriously injure his opponent, and escape immediately.
Sadly, how could his little tricks remain hidden from the eyes of a shrewd and experienced veteran like Mrs. Thompson?
She had already seen through it all and silently signaled Sylvia.
Consequently, as the oblivious Adam got up and prepared for his last stand, a massive fireball materialized in his vision, exploding in mid-air and catching him off guard.
"Shit!"
Boom!
"Cough, Cough."
The smoke and dust settled, and a charred protagonist appeared in sight. His condition was miserable, but he still ferociously looked at the culprit, who launched a surprise attack at him.
It was the shorter person who hadn’t made a move until then, holding a man’s body by the hair, a knife about to pierce the man’s throat.
"Adam Taylor, behold. I have a gift for you. Hahaha…"
The lighting was dim, but this time, the distance between them was short, and Sylvia’s deliberate actions brought the man’s face into clear view, causing Adam to instantly recognize him.
His eyes widened with horror.
"FATHER!"
He screamed at the top of his lungs, but Sylvia paid no heed and plunged the knife into his father’s neck, killing him on the spot.
"Noooo!!!"
Witnessing his father’s murder before his eyes, Adam’s vision turned red with rage. His actions momentarily faltered, which proved fatal in such a critical moment.
In that fleeting instance when Adam’s composure was lost, Mrs. Thompson moved with lightning speed, and seizing the opportunity, she thrust her cane’s pointed end directly into his heart.
Khuaak!
Adam spat out a mouthful of blood, and his body collapsed on the spot.
"I… How could… it… be..."
His consciousness faded into darkness.
