With two girls down and one to go, Sylvia’s heart was pounding with madness.

I could hear it on the outside.

Even if she knew that I would never allow Ashley the freedom I promised in the bet, it was impossible for her to back down from the fight.

And as expected...

"No."

She shook her head and rejected my offer.

"... I can do it."

Her fists clenched as she stood up and looked at me with a determined face. Her mana was a little recovered.

But I doubt if it was even half-full.

Not to mention her stamina and mental strength, which were in the same state as her mana, or even worse.

Regardless, even in such a state, she wanted to exact revenge herself.

I knew and understood she wouldn’t back down from here. So, I didn’t push anymore.

My formality was over.

I tried to stop, but she didn’t listen.

So everything that would happen now would be her own responsibility.

"Then go now. I will not stop you."

I patted her back, and she moved forward, stopping in front of Ashley—the so-called leader of the trio of bullies.

There was a calm look on Ashley’s face.

Even I had to say that among those three, Ashley was indeed the most sensible one.

She was over her phase of anger, knew bargaining wouldn’t work with me, and had already come over her depression about the predicament she was in.

Now, she was at the last stage of her grief: acceptance.

"There’s no hope for you to defeat me, Sylvia."

Having already accepted her predicament, Ashley could clearly see Sylvia’s condition at a glance.

Unfortunately, this time it was Sylvia, whose mind was clouded with raging emotions.

Coupled with my earlier statement and her worsening condition, all she could see was revenge and nothing else.

"Heh! The other two also said the same thing. Look where they are now."

Sylvia sneered.

Her fatigue was evident, but she still urged and drew mana from her mana reserves.

"Start!"

With my call, they started the fight.

Their duel began.

But since Sylvia’s skills were on cooldown and she had little mana in her reserves, she could only slowly wear down Ashley’s defenses.

Unfortunately for her, Ashley was way stronger than she had imagined.

Sylvia quickly understood that she was at a disadvantage, but she couldn’t back down now.

She didn’t use a weapon because, at low levels, her passive skills and traits were enough.

The weapons she could use at her current level would only hinder her.

That was the explanation she gave me because of her arrogance.

With raging determination, she swung her hand forward and used a good chunk of her remaining mana, casting a spell:

[Wind Slash]

Sending a crescent moon-shaped gust of air toward Ashley.

Swoosh!

Unsurprisingly, Ashley deftly dodged the attack, laughing mockingly.

"Is that all you’ve got?"

Ashley used Sylvia’s own line to taunt her with a voice dripping with condescension.

"I thought you were supposed to take revenge and send me to meet my friends? Where did all that previous arrogance go?"

Feeling the scorn in Ashley’s voice made Sylvia’s rage explode, and without thinking, she charged forward, her fists clenched tightly.

"Bitch!"

She tried to land a physical blow, but Ashley’s quick reflexes and better stats allowed her to sidestep with ease.

Swoosh!

Following that, Ashley instantly retaliated with a [Lightning Strike] as electric arcs lashed out toward Sylvia.

"Shit!"

Luckily, Sylvia managed to roll out of the way just in time, narrowly avoiding the deadly lightning.

Sylvia knew she had to be clever to stand a chance. She quickly thought of a plan.

When she was done, she gathered the last remnants of her mana and cast:

[Multiple Clone Illusion]

Creating multiple mirror images of herself to confuse Ashley.

But witnessing this, Ashley merely shook her head in disappointment, and she scowled, not even trying to discern the real Sylvia from the illusions.

"You think you can hide from me with such pathetic parlor tricks?"

[Fire]

With a flick of her staff, Ashley sent a burst of fire magic in all directions, dispelling the illusions before Sylvia could do anything.

Then, she unleashed a powerful [Tremor], causing the ground to shake violently beneath Sylvia’s feet.

Tremble!

Sylvia struggled to maintain her balance, but her exhaustion made it nearly impossible.

Thud!

Unable to maintain her balance, she fell on her knees.

The forest seemed to close in on her as Ashley approached, her eyes glowing with a deadly glint.

"It’s over, Sylvia."

On her wits end, Sylvia’s vision started to blur. Her body was battered and bruised, her muscles aching with every movement.

However, Sylvia’s eyes were still not ready to back down.

Because the earlier illusion spell was to lower Ashley’s defense, the real killer move was still within her sleeves.

One step...

Two step...

Three step...

And finally, when Ashley was within Sylvia’s range of attack,

[Blinding Flash]

Summoning every ounce of her remaining mana, Sylvia executed one last desperate gambit—one she had been plotting fervently since earlier.

Zing!

She instantly cast a spell, which was like a flash bomb, temporarily dazzling Ashley.

Bang!

Capitalizing on this opportunity in the moment of Ashley’s confusion, Sylvia lunged forward, trying to land a decisive blow.

Swoosh!

But unfortunately for her, Ashley was already prepared. She had already seen through Sylvia’s cheap tricks.

So the moment Sylvia closed in on her, a sinister grin twisted Ashley’s lips.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Ashley’s lips moved, and she whispered viciously.

"Caught you."

[Explosion]

BOOOM!!!!

A deafening explosion erupted, engulfing Sylvia in a searing blaze of arcane energy.

"—Ahhhhhh!!!"

Sylvia’s agonized screams pierced the air as the force of the explosion shot her like a ragdoll, making her crash into a tree.

Bang!

Her body almost destroyed the trunk. She was battered and bloodied as she slid down on the ground, barely hanging on to consciousness.

"You underestimated me, Sylvia, and this is the price you pay for your arrogance."

[Paralyze]

Bzzz!

The spell directly struck Sylvia, who was caught off guard. Her body went rigid, and she was unable to move.

Noticing this, Ashley came in front of the paralyzed Sylvia and looked down upon her triumphantly.

"That’s all your petty revenge was?"

Spit!

Ashley spat on the ground, displaying her contempt, and then unleashed a verbal onslaught.

"Weak, pathetic bitch. Don’t try to act like an entitled queen when even your clothes are given to you by someone else."

"Y-you—"

Before Sylvia could reply, however, Ashley cast a [Sleep] spell, and Sylvia’s world faded into darkness as she lost consciousness.

Clap-Clap!

"Congratulations! You won."

It was an extremely entertaining match to watch, especially towards the end.

"I never thought you wouldn’t try to kill Sylvia."

"Would you have allowed that to happen?"

"No."

I replied honestly.

There was no reason to lie. Even Ashley knew it.

She was smart.

Though her next move took me completely by surprise,

"Please, allow me to live."

She pleaded, slamming her forehead on the ground in the infamous "dogeza" pose.

"Did you truly believe I’d kill you even if you won?"

"Huh? You won’t?"

Her baffled expression revealed her surprise.

To which I simply shrugged nonchalantly.

"Of course not. I am a man of my word."

"Then, can I leave safely?"

"That’s impossible. We never reach an agreement on freedom."

My tone was flat, and my expression was serious.

The game was nearly over, and there was no need for pretenses.

Surprisingly, Ashley didn’t appear shocked by my response. She nodded as if she had anticipated that I wouldn’t allow her an easy escape.

In that case, there was only one option left for her to choose. And as expected, I was correct once again as Ashley bowed her while kneeling and begged.

Even more loudly this time, with tears almost about to drip down her face.

"Then please, allow me to serve you, Master. I will do whatever you want. Please, I don’t want to die."

"You’re smart."

I praised her once again.

Sadly...

"You’re too oversmart. Besides, I don’t have any interest in bitches."

"Wha—"

And before she could even digest what she heard, I moved at full speed, grabbed her head, and controlling my strength...

Bang!

I smashed her forehead on the ground, and she fell unconscious immediately.

"There’s only one person in this world who can call me Master. If you are my slave, you should have properly addressed me as Owner."

Speaking coldly, I surveyed the area and looked at the aftermath: scorched earth, broken trees, and craters all around.

It was all a mess.

Finding nothing amiss, I turned to Charlotte, who was sitting beside Kiara, eating her chips, and looking at me with a big smile on her face.

Which immediately triggered my Nobility (A)

"Charlotte! You manners?"

"Master. It’s alright."

She waved her hand casually, as if the gesture would fix everything.

At that, I could only sigh inwardly and change the topic, knowing that teaching her was only wasting my energy.

"Quit dawdling and get to work. Give first aid to those two, and stuff them with that supervisor in a bag. We are taking them out."

"Aye, Aye, Captain."

She exclaimed loudly, sprang to her feet, offered me an exaggerated salute, and hurried toward the unconscious duo.

Following which, I sat beside Kiara, whose body tensed noticeably the moment she sensed my presence.

Gulp!

She swallowed hard, her throat dry, and hastily scooted away from me.

"...Please, don’t get any closer... I stink."

She muttered with a hint of embarrassment in her voice.

’Is she still affected because of my previous words about keeping it away from me?’

I couldn’t help but think so.

"Who said you smelled? Those girls?"

"Ummm."

She nodded in a rather adorable manner, and I leaned in slightly closer.

Sniff! Sniff!

My nose twitched, and I nodded in confirmation.

"Indeed, although not much, you do smell like greasy potato chips... Better get a shower after leaving here."

"W-w-what?!"

’Ah shit! Fuck you! Damn Nobility!’
