Villain Simulator-Chapter 99: I will do anything
There were two reasons for me to give Rachael that bag and create this scene.
First, to check if the Class Rachael was awakening into was really the same as it was in the novel or had changed because of the butterfly effect.
The second was to naturally create drama.
Because how could there be romance without drama?
How would I be able to show my flawless, Oscar-winning acting skills?
Rachael was not a bitch like Sylvia and Daisy. She was genuinely kind-hearted, and naturally, I wouldn’t use the same methods on her as I would on others.
That was why drama was necessary – for me to be the White Knight in shining armor, solving all the problems for my princess.
Subsequently, I created today’s situation.
It was not to hurt or scold Rachael, but to put her in a tight spot where I could be her hero, her White Knight, for whom she would feel indebted and later repay by giving her heart and then her body.
That was why there was no need to push this farce further. I had almost accomplished what I wanted here.
So, when feeling the cold, scrutinizing gaze of Charlotte, Rachael snapped back to her senses. I instantly noticed it and began acting, replying to Charlotte and diverting her attention.
"It’s no one’s fault—"
Following that, I proceeded to explain how I transferred the Chaos energy of Daisy’s curse into a Rubik’s cube, with the intention of later discarding it in the Dungeon and testing whether it could function as a bomb.
I had no intention of keeping my skill, [Chaos Medium], a secret from these two.
They would naturally discover it sooner or later anyway.
By sharing this information now, I not only gained their trust but also helped them get accustomed to the fact that I possessed such a unique skill.
’Two birds with one stone.’
While I explained, Charlotte moved behind me, retrieved a Health Recovery Potion, and gently applied it to my back with her soft hands, asking
"So the cube was unstable, and it exploded?"
"No, it was stable inside the bag. The bag is specially designed to shield things from outside interference. However, when I took it out, I must have..."
I was about to make an excuse, but Rachael, as I had anticipated, finally couldn’t hold on and accepted her blame.
"Because of me."
"Huh?"
Charlotte’s hand stopped, and she turned to Rachael, narrowing her eyes.
"What do you mean, because of you?"
Charlotte asked, raising an eyebrow.
Rachael looked down at her feet, avoiding eye contact, but then, as if something crossed her mind, she lifted her head again. And this time, she displayed no fear or hesitation.
Unlike Daisy or Sylvia, who might have remained silent in this situation, Rachael was a girl with a pure heart.
Rachael had witnessed the lengths I had gone to protect her today, even risking my own safety.
This made it even more inconceivable for her to witness me, her White Knight, defending her when it was her own mistake that had caused me harm.
Furthermore, she was burdened with guilt over the consequences of her actions and wished to conceal it no longer.
"It’s not Adrian. But it was my mistake. I—"
Subsequently, Rachael hid nothing and told everything about how she felt strangely drawn to something inside the bag and how that had led to this situation.
"I... I am sorry."
Rachael apologized, her head lowered.
But Charlotte, who had heard all of this, was in no mood to settle this matter like this.
"You’re saying that despite Master warning you twice, you opened the bag and took the Cube out?"
"... Yes, I am extremely sorry. It’s all my fault, but I swear I wasn’t in my senses. I don’t know what came over me."
Rachael tried to explain, and she apologized again, but my injured condition seemed to have genuinely made Charlotte extremely angry, somewhat beyond what I expected.
However, before she could say more and the matter escalated, I immediately interjected.
"Charlotte. It’s alright. It isn’t all Rachael’s fault. I was careless about Chaos energy."
"But Master! How could sealed Chaos energy do such a thing?"
"I know and understand your concerns. But Chaos energy is the most mysterious and least researched energy. Plus, Rachael is just awakening. Maybe there are things we aren’t aware of, so don’t reach conclusions so hastily."
Taking a pause, I turned around, grabbed Charlotte, and continued while looking her in the eyes.
"Cool down and think it through. Do you really think Rachael is the type of girl to lie in such matters?"
My words seemed to have woken up Charlotte, who took a deep breath as her eyes regained clarity.
Phew~!
"I understand, Master, I overreacted."
She bowed her head, and I gently patted her to tell her it was alright. After which, she turned to Rachael.
"I apologize, sister Rachael. Forgive me if I said something out of line."
"No, no, sister Charlotte, it’s alright."
Flustered, Rachael waved her hand, but her expression improved significantly as she added.
"It was indeed my fault, and I deserve more scolding and punishment. You don’t have to apologize."
Looking at both of them getting back on good terms, or even better, a calm smile also appeared on my face.

’It seems like the plan was successful. Though I still have to take the greatest prize.’
My eyes shifted to Rachael as I laughed inwardly.
’Hehe.’
....
Following that small event, we naturally exited the Dungeon, and I changed into a loose robe since my back was still considerably burned.
Due to Charlotte’s insistence, before going home, we first visited one of our family’s hospitals, where I received treatment from professional healers and was given a medical prescription.
Naturally, since I had Daisy with her Regenaration (C), there was no need for medicines, but I took them anyway to not worry my Shadow and secretary.
On our way back, we bought some pastries and sweets for everyone.
By the time we reached home, the mood had returned to a normal, cheerful one. However, as soon as we entered, Rachael gently tugged at my robe.
Recognizing her intentions and looking at her, I understood what she wanted, so I first sent Charlotte away.
"Charlotte, take these and go to the kitchen first. I’ll come with Rachael in a bit."
"Hmmm..."
Charlotte gave us a glance, but then, seeming carefree, she went to the kitchen, dancing and hopping around while singing.
"Laa, lalala, la laaa."
With Charlotte gone, I turned to Rachael, who wasted no time and bowed her head ninety degrees as she spoke.
"I apologize for what I did today. Because of me, you had to suffer so much. Also, thank you, Adrian, for saving my life. I don’t know what would have happened if you weren’t there."
"There is no need to. I am fine, and there don’t seem to be any big injuries either."
"That’s not it. I am indebted to you. I don’t know how I will ever be able to repay you. So please, if you want anything, tell me, and I will do my best to fulfill it."
Rachael was a girl of principles who knew how to take responsibility for what she did, but she was not so ignorant of the world.
So I understood that she apparently made this proposal without realizing what she was saying.
"Well... if that’s the case..."
I smiled mischievously.
Looking at my smile, Rachael realized the implications of her words, and her expression changed.
Her face flushed red, and she was so easy to read that I could tell that this girl was certainly not thinking anything pure.
"Don’t worry, it’s not anything mischievous!"
Though my assurance made it worse for her, her face turned tomato red with shame.
Regardless, just because I saved her and was her handsome White Knight didn’t mean I could do anything with her.
Technically, I could do it, but that way, I would never win her heart.
But then again...
"Well, since you said you would do anything..."
I grabbed Rachael’s arm and pulled her slightly towards me.
"Uh..?"
Her face came closer to mine, and her heart beat quickened. So she blushed and instinctively tried to get back, but before she could, I bent forward and whispered...
"How about....?"
And this time, as Rachael looked at me with trembling pupils, she couldn’t push me away.
