Villain: Ultimate Mutation System in the Alternate World-Chapter 683: Peak of the World 18
Solmir held the light between his hands. It shook as he forced it smaller. The glow pressed inward, bright and unstable.
His vents burned hot. Cracks spread across his armor, but he ignored them.
This attack was not meant to hit a target. It was meant to erase everything. Including him.
A harsh laugh burst from him.
"Regret it," Solmir gritted his teeth. His voice rose, sharp and wild. "You will regret ever standing above me."
"I climbed past gods," he continued, laughter breaking through his words. "I tore myself apart and rebuilt what was left. And you think I reached my limit?"
Energy surged through him. Years of his life burned away in seconds. His core flared as his armor shook.
"I'll erase you completely." Solmir shouted.
The artificial world began to break.
Sky bent inward. Mountains crumbled, then vanished. The sea lifted and faded into nothing. The horizon collapsed, dragged toward the power between his hands.
Space itself started to tear.
Solmir threw his arms forward.
"Null Genesis," he announced, his voice raw and proud.
Light detonated.
There was no explosion. No sound.
The artificial realm vanished completely. Long cracks tore through space, ripping the space open. The damage spread outward, faster than thought, until nothing stable remained.
It was not over yet.
The force rushed past the artificial realm and kept going. It reached the real world in an instant. People living there never sensed danger. No warning came. No chance to react.
One moment, life went on as normal.
Next moment, existence itself was wiped away so fast that not even dust remained.
By the time reality tried to respond, the real world had a gaping hole stretching for hundreds of miles, as if a chunk of existence itself had been sliced away.
Solmir looked up at the sky above, now cracked and empty, and felt the weight of what he had done. Even the ozone layer was destroyed.
Still, none of that mattered. He just killed an entity capable of completely destroying this world. That alone was a tremendous achievement.
"I did it," He felt himself slipping. Every second counted, and he knew he wouldn't last long.
But joy burned inside him.
"That bastard is… gone," he muttered. "I took him with me. I… I actually did it."
A smile, weak and victorious, formed on his lips. "Worth… every..."
Before he could collapse entirely, a grip closed around his head.
Solmir froze, panic flashing through his face.
"So this is all you got?" Reign chuckled.
"H… How… how is this possible? I gave my whole lifespan for that attack."
That attack was indeed powerful, and he was actually forced to use his pocket watch and even the Holy Grail, showing just how strong the highest gods were.
"Oh, that's probably because your entire lifespan amounts to nothing compared to me," he sneered. "All that effort… all that sacrifice… wasted."
Solmir's fists clenched, but his body barely responded.
"You… you will regret this," he uttered. "My attack already alerted everyone. Before long, all the highest gods will be here, and you'll have nowhere to run."
Reign raised an eyebrow and started laughing maniacally, his head thrown back and arms spread wide, clearly amused by the statement. Then, abruptly, he stopped, and his face turned serious.
"Run?"
"Who's running?"
"Running where?" he paused, tilting his head.
"And why?"
His aura exploded. Golden light erupted in every direction, turning the sky into a blazing sea of gold. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
The land trembled beneath the intensity, as if his laughter was a death bell announcing the end of the world.
Solmir was lost for words. He thought he had already seen Reign's limits, not realizing that what he fought before was only a weakened version, restricted by constraints.
Soon, more figures appeared, teleporting to the scene.
They stared in shock at the destruction around them. Even the highest gods—the very peak of existence in this world—were there, yet none dared to act too soon.
They understood immediately that they were facing something far beyond normal comprehension.
"Glad you all came to greet me," Reign said, turning his attention to them while still holding Solmir by the neck.
"You've saved me the trouble of hunting you down one by one."
Before anyone could react, he snapped Solmir's neck. He then reduced him to particles and absorbed the remnants.
With a casual roll of his shoulders, he straightened up.
"That was a good warm-up. Now let's skip the talking. All of you, attack me at once—"
Time froze.
Chronos appeared in an instant, a fist charged with enough power to destroy a small world, glowing with raw, purple energy. His arm moved closer and closer, aimed straight at the face.
But Reign's golden pupils suddenly move, his lips curling into a grin.
BOOM!
The counter struck. Chronos was sent flying, crashing to the ground with a force that shook the surroundings.
When time resumed, all the others could see was Chronos lying on the ground, wounded.
"Actually using time against me?" Reign shook his head. "Sorry, but that's my thunder. You'll have to do a lot better than that if you want to hurt me."
Out of nowhere, Reign lost sight of his surroundings, direction, and even the flow of time. He knew he hadn't moved.
This was the work of another of the highest gods—Ara, Xara's mother.
He found himself trapped inside a dome so powerful that even Chronos and the other highest gods would need considerable time to escape.
It was enough to give anyone outside a chance to prepare.
Or so they thought.
He merely breathed, and his golden power erupted once more, shattering the darkness around him. In moments, he broke free, appearing before them again.
Their faces reflected pure shock.
"You know…" he tapped his chin. "If you really want to beat me, then all of you have to attack together, because your individual strength is laughable."
All of the gods present were speechless.
This was the first time in their entire existence that they had been looked down on so openly—and the hardest pill to swallow was that their opponent actually had the power to act arrogant.
